I am 22 and so lost! I can't sit, sleep, eat, drink without thinking what I want to do in my life. Anxious all the time. Weird chest pains, deep breathing the entire day. This video came at a perfect time and it really helped. I feel at ease
(Edit: It's been 3 months now & time really heals everything. I'm not lost anymore. I found a purpose & maybe it's temporary but I'm in a better place now. Let it pass)

As someone who just turned 25 I relate to this video so much. This is the period of time where we are supposed to know what we’re supposed to be doing but I love that you make a point to say it’s okay to be lost or still figuring it out because there is no end destination in life. I’m turning 28 next week and I still have no idea what I’m doing with my life… and that’s ok! If going through my 20s during the pandemic has taught me anything, it’s that curiosity and vision will carry you through. No matter what job/ opportunities I think I lost, there’s always something internally leading you where you need to go.

Really love the sentence "this is the time you have less to lose" that makes me feel less scared about what I'm gonna do. I quit my job and focus on learning Korean with a hope that I could work as a Korean translator. Maybe I will be happy with my choice, or also will be not, but who knows. Just because I could do as I wish now, I will never regret what I did no matter what happened in the future.

I'm 25 and having trouble letting go of my stable life to follow the "things that light me up" since it calls for me leaving my hometown and living in the city. I know it'll be best for me but I'm afraid to leave my family and that I won't make enough money to survive on my own. However, if I don't take the risk now I'll just sit here in regret and never know if its where I'm meant to go.. Another advice you gave was "No one cares as much as you think" I compromise a lot for others so this really was something I needed to hear.

the “people don’t care about you as much as you think you do” is such an important, peaceful lesson to learn.
i recently had a really bad injury and got stitches on my face and broke my nose. my best friend kept telling me she really wanted to see me but every time we made plans she said something came up. at first i was so angry with her, i mean i’m injured and if she was in this situation, i would’ve seen her ASAP.
however, i quickly realized she does have her own life. she has her own issues and situations and honestly unless i was on my deathbed, i don’t think my injuries crossed her mind after a day or two. now while i was mad, i think realizing and accepting i can’t force someone to care about me the way i want them too is more freeing. i don’t hate her. if i did have hugh expectations of her i would’ve hated her for not seeing me

🙀💦 I don't know you, but I sincerely hope you recover really soon! I don't know your friend either, but it could be that she's shocked and isn't confident she could act the right way to comfort or help you... Afraid of saying the wrong thing, acting the wrong way...? Whatever is going through her mind, you're totally right that each person has his/her things to deal with. You're smart for even attempting to detach a little.. Idk how I would've responded 😿 (I did have someone text and call me after I just came out of the hospital from an emergency surgery.. But the person was complaining it was his birthday and that I hadn't celebrated it.. Uh, good for him he was going about his normal life 😹)

@@gurleen7041 Giving people the benefit of doubt is a wonderful practice! When my dad's sister was hospitalized for a serious brain condition, most of the family didn't show up at the hospital, so his sister's daughter was hurt, thinking they didn't care.. (Her mother was in a coma..) Actually, most of the family were too devastated that they couldn't show up.. They must've felt so powerless.. My emergency surgery was 20 years ago 🐾💝 I felt right then and there we couldn't possibly stay friends 😹 Now I do think he really trusted me in a special way, relied on me, but just wasn't mature enough to be considerate of my health.. In his mind he wasn't trying to be cruel, but simply thought I should always be taking care of him.. Yeah, I feel he saw me as a superwoman! Though I was a regular human, weak and in pain 😿 Thank you for asking 💕

A few things: 1) I watched one of your videos months ago and signed up for betterhelp. I've been seeing my therapist for 7 months now, and my ideas of self-worth and developing healthy boundaries have immensely improved! Betterhelp's customer service is phenomenal, and I utilize their financial aid options. They really do their best to take care of you.
    2) Describing how curiosity is this small flame and like bread crumbs was eye opening to me. Another piece of advice that resonated with me was following your fears because you're afraid of something because you care about it a lot. I've been putting off making a decision to attend graduate school because I'm afraid of this next step, but I didn't realize it was because I cared about it that the fear of messing up has been holding me back.

I am 22 and turning 23 in May and all of this resonated a lot with me. A lot of these tips are things I already have in my subconscious and conscious but even then it can be hard for me to stick to them. I’m taking this as my sign to be consistent in applying them and watch my life change for the better. I’ve been going through the worst depression of my life since the beginning of last year and I just know my life isn’t how I want it to be. Sometimes I feel super helpless but I have moments where either my guides or higher self comes through and it’s like girl you got so much potential just tap into it, you got it. It’s wild because just yesterday I was reflecting on my life and putting out into the Universe what I want and talking to my guides, asking them to guide me, and then this is the first video I see this morning Thank you for this advice! You are a light and I know I’m not the only one who needed this and appreciates you and your content ✨🤍🌱

My favourite one is follow your fear. It is not easy to go out of your comfort zone, emotionally, mentally and in every other way. But this is where we grow the most. Overall, learnt so much here - even though I am also in my 30ties now! Thank you for this video!

This video came at a perfect time, I’ve been feeling lost and trying to get out because I felt like I always had direction prior to this. It’s so hard and I hate how some days I didn’t accomplish anything. However, I’ve been watching your videos and I write down what I do daily and plan my days. It helps me feel better and slowly gain my confidence back. Thank you so much for being inspiring :)

Your videos make me cry. It's like a warm hug.Thank you Aileen for this video!
I thought I was already having a really hard time when I was still a student but looking back, I feel like life was so much easier back then. Like what you said, the path was clear when I was a student. I had clear goals - to get into my dream university, to graduate and to pass the board exam. However, now that I've achieved these goals, I feel lost. I feel like I've chosen the wrong career but I don't know what's the right one if this isn't it. I've been thinking about the things I love, things I'm good at, things that I can be paid for and things the world need but I still don't have the answer. I don't know what I really want to do in life and it's so frustrating. I was so focused on reaching my goals back then that I lost myself. I was so busy studying so I didn't have time for the hobbies that I used to enjoy and now I feel like I totally lost my interest in them. Nothing makes me feel excited anymore. :(

1, Follow my fear and my curiosity . That is right, we are young, many of us have no children yet, we are kinda care free and don't have much too lose. 2, Nobody thinks of me more than some seconds before they get back with their own thoughts and self concern. It is SO TRUE . We are just humans, we selfishly🤣 have so many thoughts of our own look, purposes,.. that need to be figured out, how could we think about other people ( although of course we love our families, friends and care of them). 3, Let go perfectionism because I am the best with my own flow. I was crazy about perfectionism and it did hurt so much my mental health, caused me more unnecessary tasks to do . The point was I could NOT see it was a problem in order to give up on it, as a terribly harmful habit. My confession is I am NOT that fast learning, not that smart. But I see beauties in things and understand stuffs, so I don't need to be straight A of everything. 4, I don't need to stick with an exact image of a successful me in a specific career from present to the rest of my life😨. Because NOW that heavily stressful thought (which's supposed to make me feel safe, oriented and ordered) drives me crazily miserable 🤣 ( My real example is I force myself to become a leader of some huge and professional NGO 😵‍💫 to "really" create influences and change people in a macro way 😂). Instead of that, I can do things I enjoy ( Now I start volunteering to help children in small provinces near my area with learning English. It truly makes me feel happy and lights up my heart)☺ .
5, I hated money and the way money worked. It was a boring field that I was extremely fed up at university. But now I change. It turns out I like working professionally in taxes and accounting. There are so many things I can related to your content . I think it's one of your best videos. Thank you so so so much for sharing these thinking and advices.

I'm 26 and going through that phase right now. I actually saw my therapist yesterday and we talked about the fact that it's ok to not know what to do in life or to not know what I truly like or makes me happy. Few months ago I was so scared of being lost in my life and for the first time yesterday I enjoyed it! I felt kinda free and happy to be able to discover myself more and just to enjoy life as it is. I've been so hard on myself these past few years and I put too much pressure on myself I had to stop working few months ago to take a break and to rest a little. It has been hard but I'm actually starting to understand (finally) that it's ok to be lost and it's ok to make mistakes.
Thank you for your video! I felt less alone for a moment ❤

Now at the tail end of my twenties (turning 29 next month) I resonate a lot with this video. Being gentle with yourself, following your curiosity, steering with the flow, leaning into your intuition etc. It's important to recognize that we all have different starting points in life (i.e. structure vs. agency) and we're all on different timelines. Videos on hyperproductivity compound my anxiety and existing feelings of worthlessness. I really appreciated this video. Thank you

    • @sandeep10
      @sandeep10 Год назад

hope you are convinced with what you said- we're all on diff timelines! then any video on hyperprod or worthlessness question shouldn't be a concern- isn't it?
and to add to ur comment- at times results are dislocated in times and not exactly the same we wished/worked for- still appreciable/ not worthless- and what is so important about hyperprod that is even equal our worth ? we need to know urself/ get our priorities right & clear ! i think so.. all the best..
