What they really need to do is fix the rear suspension and make the upper part of the body/chassis stronger. And of course bring that for the entry level supras.
BMW already said they aren't giving Toyota the S58 its a M exclusive engine. Toyota has to do something with the B58 we will probably see 475hp instead

If it’s 500hp it’s indeed the s58 without a doubt. It couldn’t be anything else from bmw. Also b58-s58 are in the same engine family this engine would most likely drop right in and utilize preexisting bmw supply chain parts that the supra is already using. Most likely they could Bolt up some big brakes and suspension from the new m2. Put supra grmn over the m logos.

If they do, they better have some serious technical updates to increase reliability. I know of three occasions personally that S58s are blowing up with just jb4s. So not really in line with what the Supra stands for as far as tunability

I'm not an expert but I have personal experience from people having issues with the jb4 and being inferior to a custom tune on the b-58 platform causing over boost and what not but not straight up blowing it up like I've heard with the few s58 s
BMW will not give Toyota the S58. They might let Toyota throw some forged pistons in the B58 and chuck a larger turbo on it. That will yeild 500hp easily. But definitely won't be an S series motor
It'll be closer to 580 bhp. It'll actually make 470-490 rwhp and weighs 3350 lbs. It'll easily run a stock 11.1-11.3 1/4 at 125-126 mph. That's R35 territory on the low end, but it'll walk the R35 up top. It should theoretically run a 7.9-8.1 60-130, since 480 whp DP JB4 E30 supras are already running that. Valid dragy confirmation on them already.
I can careless am buying an M2 with the carbon fiber package. Way nicer interior an well built. But its the engine that Toyota should’ve put in from the beginning.

Depends how you look at it. The Tesla hits it’s crazy acceleration times under specific conditions and prepared. It’s not like you can launch it at full speed at every set of lights. I can do that in the Supra all day no problem. But yes the Tesla Plaid is the faster car.

This is just some speculation from a couple Japanese reports and news outlets. The new BMW Z4 doesn’t even get a manual option on its most powerful version. Yet the Supra does. I would like to think Toyota would want their Pop culture icon go out with a bang.

Toyota can build there own engines stop using the no resale crop from BMW.1.6 3 cl.turbo charge making 261hp.just build a V6 that's makes 500hp.the 3.5v6 in the mark X a guy in Jamaica did it to a mark X 500hp each all stock form .

Awesome idea that’s not gonna happen. 200 units would be a huge loss for Toyota. I wouldn’t do it so why would Toyota. It makes absolutely no sense.
Car company’s do it quite a bit. They make so much money that they can afford to lose a little to make a fun car. Think LFA, that car lost the company quite a bit. I think even their GR Yaris wasn’t really profitable.

Yea 0 chance this is gonna happen, first bmw wouldn't let them have the s58, even if they do Toyota gonna do all the work to put it in the supra just to sell 200 units?? you out of your mind, where you even get your sources? If there is no MZ4, there will never be a s58 supra, and you know a MZ4 is not happening.
This is just some speculation from a couple Japanese reports and news outlets. The new BMW Z4 doesn’t even get a manual option on its most powerful version. Yet the Supra does. I would like to think Toyota would want their Pop culture icon go out with a bang.

they need to put handling lightweighting package in prius. media and aftermarket determines customer.even faster drivers in gordon murray t50 type cars can enjoy the way of driving that is mainly intended for low cost of ownership, resource sustainblty, emissions ("human health, climate change" etc) by steering braking accelerating, minimally steadily within whatever speed they want to maintain to get to places on time if they want to. speed up before uphills & on downhills for most speed usin less torque. make most power at optimal rpm according to bfsc chart for engine. power meter can show what amount of pedal pushing is most effceint given local temp, lubrication levels running out. give another range of recomended pedal position for longevity of parts, example: engine charges battery, which is less longvity then if the battery directly powers the electric motor because less use of battery so less "battery degradation". avoiding braking even regen braking is also good,instead you maintain momentum around turns.. so use steering,seats, giving more feel of grip level and speed. if if tires arnt too hot then some traction loss sliding the rear end into optimal cornering angle, is not too wearing on tire too allow it, add a switch for powering front brakes more and rear brakes less. shame suv, rent van for once in while famly trip. aptera owners club youtube video on saftey, and see video on cost, and video on wheel pants (probably not be a issue on production version). weight worsen road wear, costing taxes, resource, emissons. maybe itll be worth it to even add high budget materials swap for crash saftey, agile handling, better miles per gallon. like carbon chassis stiffeners, lighter pistons etc

Toyota can build there own engines stop using the no resale crop from BMW.1.6 3 cl.turbo charge making 261hp.just build a V6 that's makes 500hp.the 3.5v6 in the mark X a guy in Jamaica did it to a mark X 500hp each all stock form .
Toyota would've made the Supra very expensive if they "built their own engine for the Supra"! ....let alone a Inline 6.

And for the record the V6 would've been open deck. Not better compared to closed deck inline 6s that can handle added power on STOCK BOTTOM END.
