Me, my sisters & a friend travelled there (from Vancouver & UK) especially to watch the comps. Best time ever! 🤙 (unfortunately my sister lost her bag with all the reels of film we took!) 😫
Honestly think Mike Judge was watching the Bud Surf Tour in the 90s...PT spazzes out uncannily similar to Beavis or could it possibly be the other way around!
The Bud tour was the golden era of surfing in the US. So many great surfers.
Slater - Beschen - Machado - Ho....my word what a heat full of legends, in a PSAA contest no less.
don't forget Joel Tudor
Machado was so gnarly. So talented.
No doubt his very talented but his not gnarly.. his a very chill dude plus excelled in med size surf def not a big;gnarly wave surfer or attitude
How many times did we hear roundhouse wraparound in 90s comps... Kelly is the GOAT of surfin
Haha! So many!
26:00 Kellys air was insane , machado looking so styleeeee

Sick sick rides. Poor Thomas like Ho had crummy waves. My favorite generation of surfers.

Those roundhouse wrap-a-rounds are ballistic!

love machado's outlook on surfing. People should learn a thing or two from him
what size board were machado and kelly slater using?
Problaby 6´1 or 6´2, small wave boards weren´t that small back then, lol
Nothing like drinking a ton a beer and going surfing.... I mean that was the message no?
