I'll never forget, I was surfing in Bali on a super random spot around Keramas with just 3 other guys out and Mr.Slater showed up on the lineup. first i was kinda shocked and didn't dare to take a wave, but after finding out he's such a chill dude we had a awesome and unforgettable session.

Yes there is footage of him at our home break at Sebastian an footage of him at surfing championships at the light house in obx , just have to look for it

Interesting take! Leaving Quiksilver and CI definitely marked a huge shift, but he still pulled off some crazy wins after that. Do you think it was more about the gear, or just the natural evolution of his career? 🤔🏄♂️
