I’ve surfed this wave a few times and it is really NO JOKE. The paddle out, staying in position. You are never not paddling. You def have to be in top shape for real.

You can again see here how insanely good Andy Irons was. I've been surfing for over 60 years and he one of the best I've ever seen in all those years. Even in this video it captures him recovering from impossible situations behind the white water and emerging from deep inside the tube.
