Hank's best friend in the X-Men is Iceman and his best friend in the Avengers is Wonder Man. Have Iceman and Wonder Man ever met? It could be an interesting story where they feel animosity towards one another yet have to team up to help Hank. Just a thought.
The two friendships are a pretty good example of what I call the Starsky and Hutch principal. most need two close friends. One who is more free spirited and fun than they are. One that is more serious and straight laced.
I've been reading comics, off and on since the 70s, and I still can't decide if he's my favorite. I'm always torn between Nightcrawler, Colossus and Beast for my favorites. I've always felt Beast had the best of all worlds, though. He's really strong, agile, intelligent and educated.

Excellent. I'm often bummed when certain characters that are partially defined by academics don't flex that attribute often enough. Example : Peter Parker being a legit elite scientist

It's interesting to see Mcoy's journey as a hero has a subtle theme of fascism versus compassion. He is a man capable of great good, but also _evil_ in the name of good. If comics willing: I wonder what his final fate will be.
I hope he went through this current phase, and he will regret everything what has happened in that current history. I love Hank. It hurts to see him being like this.

I love Beast as a character, most because he has such a massive heart beneath the genius and bestial fur. Saying that, I absolutely hate how they've written Beast into becoming what is basically an unremitting sociopath over the past decade. It's like they're trying to make us hate him.

I always wondered whether Beast was asexual. He definitely seems like someone who doesn't care who he's dating. I do find his relationship with Mystique the most interesting imo.
Hank Pym as a character never recovered from hitting Wasp in 1981, I can only imagine what levels of permanent damage will leave the years of systematic character assassination that turned Beast into a morally rotten war criminal. Unless they pull a dubious retcon out of their asses explaining that it was actually Dark Beast the entire time, they absolutely ruined one of my all-time favorite characters.
Beastly goings on, he travels his own timelines curious and what if now his status is slowly developing into a different version of The Dark Beast. Every now then this question comes up, so his morphing into a very different Beast, his own body, and possibly his mind is in effect altering as he mutates, he becomes more likely to evolve into something that resembles a giant ape a bigfoot, or is there more to his mutations altering on a subatomic level and inhuman level. As we've know, his origins are not alien as we see his parents are human, though his father was affected by radiation, an earthly radiation? Something that could be addressed is that radiation is normal radiation or something unique or alien in origin? And whether or not his just a mutant or has alien cells, and those chemicals he drunk were actually man made or something otherworldly in origin to? Don't forget the super soldier serum either I do remember a story where Beast himself ventured into this subject as well? And was the Brand Corp involved and in another exclusive venture called Omega, this lead to an artificial man Omega Man and another hero was to appear Jack Of Heart a former Avenger and friend of Beast's?

Here's the thing about handbooks, you can take information in handbooks as cannon, until the established cannon says otherwise, I am not one of those people who thinks "If a movie, show, or book, is not following information given by a handbook it's a plot hole and how dare they!" No, that is not a plot hole, what that is, is the fiction it's self not going by the rules of the handbooks, if that information of the handbook is never established in the fiction, what that means is, the information in the handbook is outdated. Like take real world comic history for instance, for the longest time a lot of us thought Bob Kane was the only creator of Batman, but in the years since we've learned that Bill Finger not only created Batman with Bob Kane, but Finger played a far bigger hand in creating Batman then Kane did, so anything that says "Bob Kane is the only creator of Batman" is outdated information.

How do you know a character has lame powers? The writers make him smart and/or rich. I've never read comics, but I bet there are no references whatsoever to his intellect or education in the earliest X-Men comics. Then, as more and more characters were introduced and power levels kept scaling up, the writers had to add this intelligence quality to Beast for him to remain relevant. I'm guessing Angel is now rich for the same reason.

Love him, hate him or being agnostic facts are in the 60's Stan Lee in collaboration with others was kinda on fire in the industry. And it was solid character building that was a huge contributor to the success. Hank/Beast was intentionally designed brutish but had an insane IQ. Angel's name is Warren Worthington III... Of COURSE he's a conceited, rich WASPY snob. Call it "nerd offense" or whatever but the stunning thing to me that never ceases to make me scratch my head is why someone goes out of their way to so confidently state something they have obviously no idea about, and no, saying you stated you didn't know X-Men comics isn't inoculation against criticism.
