      I can testify that PSVR 2 is 2 generations of VR ahead of Quest 2. I have a Quest 2 too. Most other headsets are moving in the wrong direction of AR and being wireless. But being wireless comes with a price, i.e. being HEAVIER and imbalanced. I can't stand using Quest 2 for an hour. But I used my PSVR 2 for 8 hours yesterday without feeling a thing.

    Shit is ridiculous. I never used VR before, got PSVR 2 today....it's simply a surreal experience in a racing rig.
    When I put on the Nordschleife with heavy rain and looked out the window, I got what I think is called "dissociation", which is usually only experienced by people on drugs or with a serious mental condition. It genuinely feels like you're there and you can get out of the car etc, and that you have left your actual physical body.
    The fact that we've now officially crossed that point is insane to me. Perhaps it has existed already in other PCVR etc but to experience that today has been pretty crazy.

      @John Spirou For what I heard, that's normal for beginners. It's recommended to use it for short sessions at the beginning. Looks like VR is something u got to training your brain to get used to. But even though, some people can never get used to it. I hope I can.
      I also think that once u got really sick with VR experience, your brain will associate that bad feeling with the VR every time u put the headset on, and can get harder to overcome this problem. I've got my headset, but I don't think my stomach is ready for this. I haven't played much VR since upgrading from the PS4 Pro to PS5, mostly due to that irritating breakout box I didn't want to deal with again. I guess I'll start with the Moss games and a bit of kayaking and get my stomach adjusted. I got a bit nauseous from Call of the Mountain after awhile, probably within 15 minutes. I wish there was an Astrobot game. Moss and Astrobot treated my stomach pretty well with PSVR1.

    For me, coming from PC G2....the graphics were terrible....Its clear that GT7 is light years behind PC games like Aceta Cortza, Automobilia2 , And other more dedicated PC racing games... the PSVR2 was clearly running slow frames... But it was not a PSVR2 problem... its mostly GT7 being graphically challenging despite being inferior to just about any other PC racing game. You say it feels too slow, that's just slow frames... its a different world in PC. I think the PSVR2 is amazing... just not for GT7 VR.

      As cool as that would be, I don't think a console is the target audience for a legit flying sim. As a pilot I used MSFS quite a bit as a training aid when getting my IFR rating, (I used it on a flying rig chassis with the yoke, rudder pedals, and avionic stack) and I think that is where something like MSFS belongs. It is too detailed and realistic for a gaming console.
      Racing sims are a little different as there is not as much details (in regards to learning & controls) that has to go into them, but when you are talking about a serious flight sim that can do IFR approaches, ATC communications, etc., it is beyond the console crowd.

    I’m looking forward to trying again tho and getting over the motion sickness (if I can) because it really does look and feel insane.I will say, the cars feel a little small.. like the scale of everything seems like it’s like 90% actual size. Not sure if that’s a setting or if I’m doing something wrong.
    But yeah, that brain is confused thing makes me feel like I’m gonna puke for sure.

      @suddonlee4326 Год назад

      Everything is calibrated properly that's not the issue. The problem is the screen door effect and maybe mura as well. It's very noticeable especially during GT7 races and in cinematic mode. In GT7 VR showroom, Horizon COTM and Kayak Mirage it's not that bad though. Apparently it's a shortcoming of OLED lenses. I have the Quest 2 as well and I don't notice anything of the sort on that maybe because the lenses are LCD. I also remember having the same issue with the original PSVR and apparently that was OLED as well. Maybe my eyes are just more sensitive and susceptible to SDE and mura than most people because I don't see many reviews and users mentioning it. Otherwise if it was as noticeable for most I'm sure there would be a lot more people talking about it. Either that or my unit could be faulty but to confirm that would require testing out a few units so that might take some time.
