A tad personal but I'm 5 days clean from my opiate addiction and this song couldn't come out at a perfect time ! I can finally feel the goose bumps from music 🤓
Jeremy Garcia keep going brother. I just passed 1 year sober from alcohol and that was my drug. It took over my mind, it ruined a lot of my positivity but I’m taking it back. I remember like a week sober I was amazed I hit it, you’ve got this dude. Try your hardest to stay on this path and remember you’re never ever alone!
Jeremy Garcia praise God. I know a brother who went through that and another who is sill emerging from it. It's awesome to see God work. Keep it up and fight the good fight!
Appreciate the words my dudes ! Honestly it's the bond between all us addicts that makes this journey bitter sweet. This SHIT keeps me going boyos! 😎👌🏻
I am an atheist but the lyrical approach to Silent Planet, their music and overall style is mesmerizing. One of the few Christian Metal bands that are truly relevant with their lyrical content and touch on real issues we face as a society rather than remain as a “preachy” band.
Guillermo Zamora This^ this is why I love music in general, and Silent Planet specifically. I grew up conservative Christian. Just graduated University with a ministry degree that I don't think I'll use. Searching and discovering what I believe still...but I love making connections with people who are different than myself. I love that music can bring everyone together regardless of religion, Creed, race, or orientation (as the rapper Logic says).
3:35 Thank you Silent Planet for giving us an example of Newtons third law of motion while simultaneously leaving us in awe of the lyrical and instrumental manifestation that is in this song. Y'all smart.
About ten years ago, I had a family member die from a heroin overdose. This song absolutely hits so damn hard. Drug abuse is such an ugly topic, thank you Silent Planet for always showing the darker side of life in each song.
The ultimate metalcore tour... Throw on Wage War, Parkway Drive, Heaven Shall Burn and of course August Burns Red then we have a Match Made in Heaven. (Be sure to thrown in Architects also.) :^)
DraculaXHunter101 I'm seriously waiting for KsE to take out some newcomers. If they had Architects as direct support and brought out WW, and Like Moths To Flames then the roof walls would get torn down.
Can we just all agree that Silent Planet is hands down the best metal band in the metal core scene right now? Everything they write is unique, refreshing, and just down right amazing. I haven’t even heard the new record but I already know its album of the year. No other band writes musically and lyrically like Silent Planet. None.
Tony Wymer bro all respect for as I lay dying but silent planet has a sound no other band can have. There are plenty of bands that sound like as I lay dying.
Silent Planet is one of the few bands out there creating songs of which every single one seems to be a completely perfect piece of art in its own way. Share The Body might be my new personal favorite, successor to Panic Room. You guys are definitely one of the greatest bands of our time!
It is so crucial to show everyone love and acceptance, especially those going through addictions like this. If this is you, know that you are dearly loved and we are rooting for you.
If there's one thing we can count on from Silent Planet, other than Garrett's lovable persona, is the well constructed storytelling with every release. They are truly taking their art and casting a positive reach on the unfortunate realities far too common with the world. Love you lads!
I appreciate getting to see garret acting in the videos and Thomas more involved also. I always acknowledge the carefully choreographed movements to the intricately written music. Silent Planet bless you for blessing us with such thought provoking intensities. You all represent the artists I wish to become. Exalting the virtues of positivity and love with contrasting testimony of tribulations. Deep enough to cut your heartstrings and suffocate you in feeling. So powerful. Thank you for the inspiration.
It gives me goosebumps just how they piece every song together. Word by word everything feels so perfect and just flawless. The meaning behind everything just fits the idea of each song so well
This song was written for my best friend Collin he was so happy about it he was trapped in heroin addiction like me but I got out and he just recently killed himself and i just keep coming back to this song.
I knew Collin as well and I was so proud of him when he posted on Instagram that he was 30days clean. I hope all is well for you and that you are still clean
He spittin' at 2:38, that was sick. Such a great marriage of styles. Song and lyrics are amazing as usual but I loved the delivery and flow of that part. Would be cool to see more of that in their music.
This is the first song in a very long time to give me goosebumps, and for most of the song too. As I have struggled with Opioid dependence for years, this song and video really speak to me. Thank you guys for your wonderful art. Do the world a favor and never stop writing.
Wow! I'm glad I stumbled upon this band two weeks ago. I feel every song this band has put out. The power and the poetry in this band is on another level. Like stumbling up upon Tool or Northlane or Locksmith
A very talented hip hop artist who places good meanings and messages in his songs. He's a fast rapper and puts poetry in his music. I was never a fan of hip hop until I found him. He used to destroy other artist in one on one battle raps in his past. Eminem's true nemesis skill wise is this man Locksmith
As a struggling addict for 7 years.. This song always hit home. "I hit the bottom and it hit me back" slaps me in the face every time. Shit is not easy. "Passenger to my my own life" is the best description ive ever heard. Its mental warfare to a whole new level. This song has really pushed me. Thank you silent plant. "I was suppose to be someone" now's my time.
MOVED. I was sucked in as soon as he said "The epidemic of our time, A voluntary genocide." I've seen loved ones gone into a shell. I shed tears for the lost and confused I once had. I cant express enough people want to help, we just have to be willing to get the help. Please reach out to someone . . . I love it!
The style, the delivery, the lyrics....He captured addiction to perfection. To everyone out there trapped in this hell...You ARE strong enough and you ARE worth it
Thank you Silent Planet! I hope you guys carry the torch for a very long time. It's music like this that reminds me I am not the only one who sees the world for what it really is.
I wrote previous comments about my struggles with addiction. I started off with mis using my opioid prescription to cope with the depression of chronic pain and spinal cord injury, and 2 years later, I was in the ER 4 times in 2 months. Every lyric describes being an addict perfectly. "I HIT TH E BOTTOM AND IT HIT ME BACK" My uncle died with a needle, in his arm. One of the last things he told me "drugs dont control me; I control drugs" yeah right... This was when I was still very young and had never touched a drug, but I still stumbled down that path...
Just hit 30 days clean today off opiates. It’s been such a huge struggle. I appreciate this so much. I feel less alone after watching this. There is still hope. Addiction may be apart of me but it doesn’t define me.
Ok this is totally unfair. No one comes close to the lyrical masterpiece of each Silent Planet. This is song is no different. Can't wait for the new album !!
Honestly this band does an amazing job of covering social issues like addiction, mental illness, homophobia, etc. Definitely one of the most insightful band’s in the scene as far as lyrics go.
6 years ago, when i was 15, i was hooked on opioids for a year. I did what anybody addicted to pills what do.. I stole from my parents, my ex-lovers, friends. destroyed my body, ruined relationships with family and friends. It was a dark place. 6 years, I'm proud to be opioid free. To anyone struggling, there is hope.
Ohhhhhh! Production is on point! The lyrics are amazing! (As always) The vocals are everywhere, super heavy lows to beautiful cleans. These guys just do it right!
Ive been struggling with addiction for awhile... I was thinking about killing myself (fleeting thoughts) Noticed Silent Planet had a new music video *clicked* the lyrics brought me to tears.

I could never thank you guys enough for everything you do Btw, am I the only one who thinks the guy at 0:22 looks a lot like McConaughey in Dazed and Confused?
I listened to this song when it first came out but put off watching the music video till now and i gotta say. I mean this in a good way but that music video was hard to watch. As someone who knows the face of such addictions it really does haunt me sometimes, but seeing something like this reminds me of how horrible such a life can be. This is yet another powerful and beautifully composed song by silent planet that shakes me down to the soul.
I've been a metalhead for the better part of the last two decades. Silent Planet are some of the nicest dudes I've ever met, and their live show absolutely slays. They keep getting better. One of the best drummers in the industry. This is easily their best work to date.
Everytime i hear new material from these guys i think 'how are they gonna top this?' They always get better and better! Cant wait for this new record guys, i know its gonna be a banger 😊👌👍
I’m so happy I’m on this earth at the same time as Silent Planet
Aubrie Greene And im so happy i am on this planet at the same time as you baby. wanna go out?
Oh Jeez lol
bliblablub nah I’m good

Appreciate the words my dudes ! Honestly it's the bond between all us addicts that makes this journey bitter sweet. This SHIT keeps me going boyos! 😎👌🏻
The world does not deserve silent planet.
The world *NEEDS* Silent Planet
Max This Planet indeed deserves to be *Silent*
We ARE the Silent Planet -- Thulcandra -- as CS Lewis wrote about in, well, Out of the Silent Planet.
NO SIR !
What...Why?
Another masterpiece
Hi
I wanna see you cover this song! You could nail it.
This band needs more recognition xD
@@BitchCreed ikr xD. Hi
Song is decent but certainly nowhere near a masterpiece.
"Every fix is a prayer, every high a sacrifice. We worship desire at the altar of dependence. I hit the bottom then it hit me back."
Heaviest line in the song.
Get a pen and paper and take some notes. Homeworkcore is taking over the scene.
Educationcore
Homrworkcore. Please coin this. This is perfect.
Homeworkcore. Brilliant.
Genius lmao
Homeworkcore 😂

These guys and August Burns Red and Thrice are like the only Christian metal bands i like that i can take . Thrice isn’t metal but they go hard too
Ever listen to oh sleeper?
sawtoothscream 1 yes I have... they’re really good also
Fit for a King is good
What a time to be alive. Thank you Garrett, Mitch, Thomas, and Alex for your existence.
This is heavier than the colossal pile of books I’ll ever need to read to at least grasp a minuscule bit of their immense talent.
Rest In Peace Collin. This will always be your song. A piece of you will always be with us.
*Album of the year drops November 2nd*
Max I go to a concert that day. that's going to be an absolutely amazing day.
Max them and fit for a king def album of the year
Justin Lovelady Idk about FFAK. They're good and all, but 100% not on these guy's level.
Jason LovesABR FFAK one of my most favorite bands and I think it'll be but just gotta wait and see for sure
Justin Lovelady True. BTW you never check your inbox on Messenger lol.
Beyond stoked for this album!

DraculaXHunter101 Hell yes, all hail KsE!
Thank you friend, Bless DGD alsoo! :)
DraculaXHunter101 Just imagine if all 3 bands toured together..
The ultimate metalcore tour...
Throw on Wage War, Parkway Drive, Heaven Shall Burn and of course August Burns Red then we have a Match Made in Heaven.

DraculaXHunter101 I'm seriously waiting for KsE to take out some newcomers. If they had Architects as direct support and brought out WW, and Like Moths To Flames then the roof walls would get torn down.
Who could hate Silent Planet? This band is literally everything. I can’t get enough of them
I like how the shirt Garrett is wearing resembles the older striped uniform of prisons. Some good symbolism in this video.
ding ding ding! we've got a winner!
Elliot Hopkins you're right, thanks for pointing it out
Kevin Johnson you did phenomenal with the video, it's truly a masterpiece amongst the rest.
I caught that right away too. I love the symbolism in their lyrics and videos

Christian as I lay dying. That is all

As of right now Currents and Silent Planet are slowly taking over metalcore.
Pales in comparison, lyrics here (and all of SP previous work) are superior to majority of the genre
Y'all are forgetting the Kings of metalcore....August Burns Red
Silent Planet is one of the few bands out there creating songs of which every single one seems to be a completely perfect piece of art in its own way. Share The Body might be my new personal favorite, successor to Panic Room.
You guys are definitely one of the greatest bands of our time!
This is poetry on an entirely different level! Silent Planet are gonna drop a beautiful album!
They somehow keep finding ways to get better every album
the storm and calm of heaven sent to earth. this is that band. and this world does not deserve such a gift.
slipknotA7X foREVer we may not deserve it, but we truly need it.

I love how this is really theatrical. And the new album is gonna kick so much ass, already heard 3 of the songs live. 🤘🤘
I really like how the video starts with the physician giving the opioid. The opioid crisis begins with physicians discretion. This is a great message.
Rest In Peace Collin! You will not be forgotten ❤️
The thought that goes through my mind when watching silent planets music videos is what I like to call poetic core. These guys will never disappoint
Thank you Silent Planet! I hope you guys carry the torch for a very long time. It's music like this that reminds me I am not the only one who sees the world for what it really is.
Garrett, Mitch, Thomas, Alex... you guys are INCREDIBLE men, musicians, and missionaries. I'm so stoked for this album #WTEB

This one is for Collin, today, tomorrow, and always.

Silent Planet's music videos are always wonderfully made, but the aesthetics in this one are next level!
This is fantastic.
Thank you guys for everything you do.
Best birthday gift EVER.
3:35 that guitar tone with garret's lows 💗
Stepping up the vocal game - those screams at the end are killer! In love with this song and it's message - hits home for me.
This band is incredible. Their lyrics are so thoughtful and top notch
Love everything you guys put out. Incredibly blessed to have you guys be a band at the same time I’m alive 🙌🏻!! Rock on silent planet.
As an addict this describes life perfectly. Clinging to hope
Don't give up man.
