Right, the problem is that the coach and the president of the club are not aware of their capacities and abilities. They are constantly looing for replacement. Ansu Fatti was once everything and the wonderkid of Barca.By benching him frequently he got frustrated and demotivated.

Fermin Lopez went from playing in the 3rd tier of Spanish football to shining in the first team for Barcelona. This season all the talk has been around Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi and it makes sense, another young player who’s been very impressive in the 2023-24 season has been Lopez. In his first full season at Barcelona despite being 21 years old he has around 10+ goals and he doesn’t even start every game. For his development it’s great that he doesn’t start every game and him not getting called up to the national team because Barcelona and Spain have had a history when it comes to mismanaging their young players and I don’t think they’ve learned from their mistakes. He’s more of a CAM a midfielder who’s had to spend some of his games out wide even if that’s not his natural position. He can be utilized in different positions and it’s rare to see a midfielder at Barcelona who’s a goalscoring threat because all of them sit behind the ball whenever they have possession. This season Barcelona have struggled with injuries particularly in the midfield as some of their key midfielders have spent a chunk of the season without kicking a ball, Pedri has been in and out of the team, he can’t be relied on fully and often doesn’t play 90 minutes, Gavi hasn’t played since November due to him recovering from an ACL injury, Frenkie de Jong has been ravaged with injuries and they’re considering selling him in the summer. Without the injuries, I don’t know how much he would’ve been playing and it’s great that he’s made the most of his opportunity and even when everyone is fit he deserves a more significant role. Combined with the fact that Ilkay Gundogan is aging and isn’t getting any younger, he’ll get more and more minutes in the future. He is a special player and can you imagine how good he’ll be next season assuming his role doesn’t get limited when everyone is fit.

It is good that he is not getting too many minutes despite being so bright and offering such a unique set of skills, because that way he is less likely to burn out. This is a huge chance Barca should not let fall out of their hands.
He is not going to burn out. He’s 21 years old, if anything this is the perfect time for him to start picking things up a bit more and keep proving to others that he has irreplaceable traits which help the team
You forgot to mention his headers accuracy and how many goals and crossbars he has from headers , he's always in the right position for crosses

I think we appreciate him enough. Everybody in the club respects him. If we played to his strengths, he'd be a regular starter. I think he should leave and go to a team he can play in regularly

Well hes been a solid sub during his time in barca and has always been there when the club needs him. Plus he’s been here his whole career and never protested despite being on the bench all the time. Theres a reason hes captain.

@tristan2589 he's still good. Can attack very well. He could definitely get into double figures with goals if he was playing regularly and his confidence would grow but he's never gonna get that chance here. That's why I want him to leave. He'd be a fine player in the Bundesliga or Serie A

I remember early in the season when he scored that banger in preseason. Everyone raved abt Gavi and Pedri, and though they deserve it, I was so excited for him. He just had that factor, I would get so excited seeing him come on as a sub during the season because I know he would impact positively. Deserves his flowers

He is very intense, and isn’t scared to shoot, also he isn’t the tallest but he always finds his way into the best spots to header.
Fermin is one of the few players this season who hasn't been afraid to run with a ball or truly run after a ball and press it. At the moment he's an absolute starter and it's not even close. His finishing is also by far among the best in the squad. In modern day football just being technical isn't going to cut it, we need physical pressers who are also reasonably technical and Gavi/Fermin are far better at that than Pedri or FDJ. A midfield with a creative CDM + Gavi & Fermin would absolutely smother opponents, giving our forwards way more opportunities to excell and create goals because the ball arrives quicker when there is still space and not a parked bus (which happens with FDJ/Pedri keeping the ball way too long). In that scenario, someone like Pedri is the kind of player to sub in the moment the opponent is tired, so they get time on the ball and abuse space left by tiredness with a splitting passes.
That's why, above all, we need a technical CDM with a great quick pass and ability to eliminate his direct opponent so that we needn't sacrifice CAM/CM/RM/LM for a creative technical player who ruins a proper press and slows down the play. Our forwards need to create, the Xavi-Iniesta-Busquets days are over, La Liga has allowed rugby to be acceptable in pressing so it just would never work again. We'd be far better off playing with a false 9 then if we need more creativity in the middle if our midfield is too physical. If we need to make sales, I'd sell one of FDJ/Pedri way before I ever dared considering selling someone like Fermin or Gavi. If we ever want to be on top of Europe again, we only need players who will fight to their teeth for the badge. Everyone else can go.
Fermin's talent will be wasted. Barca doesn't like midfielders like Fermin and we don't know how to use them. He would be a beast in any other team.

Bro Barca needs more players like Fermin, very active and energetic. Barca always fucks up in big ucl games cause we are slow, not physical enough and dont score our chances. The slow build up play and short passing should be switched up to faster playing style through players like gavi and fermin. It is more entertaining to watch and it produced better result. 9 years without ucl just proves the Barca old system is washed.
Tbh barca hasn’t played like they used to play in any of those 9 years, Luis Enrique was probably the only one who somewhat played like that Knut since valverde we haven’t had a definitive playing style, you can’t say it’s washed when guardiola is having a lot of success with that style in England, I think barca should for the love of god just get a non bs coach that has a playing style and a clear identity and stop gambling with coaches that don’t have that or that are inexperienced like xavi or Marquez, flick would’ve been perfect
Unpopular opinion here, I think fermin should try the number 10 more, because I see him as a game changer/decider for Barcelona.

I typically think wanting to replicate the midfield trio of iniesta, xavi, and busquets is one of the reasons why this team might not be able to play good consistently. Barca needs players like Fermin who just pop out of nowhere to score

Fermin, pedri, gavi, frenkie, gundogan. Eventually a pivot, pau prim/marc bernal, noah darvich and some other la masia kids. They wont all make it but rn we`re seeing a new crazy generational talents. Hopefully we can fill our first team in 5 years with la masia talents and be debt free

5:00 perfect example of Raphinha. Let’s be honest, he’s not a good player. He’s been terrible last season and this season up until the PSG drawing. He should be sold this summer. Another great example is Frenkie, he has been amazing for us and was our best midfielder until he got hurt against Bilbao, then he came back, played like 2 games and didn’t perform too well and all of a sudden he’s getting a lot of undeserved hate. He is a player that we should NOT consider selling. And for those saying he doesn’t score or assist enough, guess what, football isn’t only about scoring and assisting. Some of the best midfielders in the history of football hardly ever scored or assisted. And for those saying he slows the game down too much and passes the ball backwards too much, open your damn eyes, even his passing statistics proves y’all wrong.

As a Barça fan since the age of 8, i truly want to sell Roque and Garcia. I never understood why we bought Roque because his technicallity isn't good enough for Barca + Marc Guiu is better. I want Barca to discontinue Cancelo's loan and sell: Peña, Lenglet, Romeu, Torres, Roque, Raphinha, Martinez, Dest, Fati, Eric Garcia and Fermin (BC of Gavi & Gundo). And LOAN OUT or SELL: Riad, Valle, J. Araujo, Torre (from loanspells). I also think that we should sell R. Araujo for any offer higher than 90 million because his positioning and defensive awerenes/IQ is bad. Maybe sell Christensen but he isn't bad imo. Barca need to BUY or LOAN: 2 Left CB's (Araujo leaves), 1 LW, RW, CDM, GK and keep Felix or buy a ST. + Don't renew Alonso & Roberto. Barca will have Fort (RB), Guiu, Faye (LB) & Casadó as reserve players.

If Xavi does leave, and Hansi Flick comes in, I think Flick will put him behind the striker, kinda similar to Muller, running in behind the defense when an opportunity arises, not the exact same as the Raumdeuter role since he isn't Müller, but I personally think it could work, but I don't think if Flick is our manager, Laporta would allow it since he insists the use of 4-3-3.
