So... looks like I'll finally replace my Fiio F9 Pro. I only understood the complaints about mmcx after using and abusing (I even once accidentally but literally stepped on the left one, not full bodyweight though, scratched it somewhat) them for more than 5 years. The mmcx connection on the right one is only very recently starting to become loose... inside the iem, not on the part which actually connects to the detachable cable That 8 kHz spike which is even worsened (relative to the neighbouring frecuencies) with the bassier nozzle filters... ah, so many memories. I clearly remember that (and another, less annoying 11kHz spike on the F9 Pro) is how I learned what a huge difference eartips can make. My iems came with three sets of tips and I didn't know why (they weren't labeled like they are now, just came in small bags), so I just used the prettier one and it was frustrating and annoying because I loved everything else about the iem, particularly how awesomely it responded to EQ (even better than my closed back Sennheiser 400-something, but I was unaware of EQ APO on 2019, so I only fixed the issue on Neutron player). So I looked for reviews of the iem to see if could find something useful... nothing... until I looked at Fiio's own compilation of reviews on their website and the answer was there, some chinese reviewer (If I remember correctly) explained what each set of eartips did, I just had to guess he was talking about that and translate the review. Instant improvement, absolutely worth such a simple change ...but I didn't know why the eartips worked that way. I was very, very lucky; because after that, I wasn't completely happy with the eartips because the medium sized ones were kinda, slightly big for my ear canals (so they hurt after a a couple of hours) and the small ones would just fall of my ears. I looked for eartips which specifically cited their (outer) diameter and bought the Final Audio E-type eartips, medium size only 3-pair-pack and was able to use my iems endlessly and resting the side of my head on the pillow was now a possibility. Amazing what less than a milimeter in diameter difference can make. Fortunately (again), these eartips didn't change much of the already-fixed sound profile... because they are narrow bore tips and that's what those do, would highly recommend for the green nozzle filter on these FH19 if you wanna keep more of the resolution, staging and imaging mentioned on this review since it chages the sound profile without dampening the sound output (in practice? correct me if I'm wrong here) All of that, and some region-specific muddiness in the lower mid-bass of the F9 Pro (I raised the rest of the bass, particularly the sub-bass to differentiate kickdrums from bass guitar) taught me to EQ basically anything. EQing the Sennheiser HD 599 a year later was an absolute joke given how mindlessly easy it was So... I'm ready to repeat all of that if necessary: the nozzle size is thankfully almost the same, priceless given my experience with the Zero: Red, same for the metal construction, wish both were more common for the top competitors at this price range. And... I already have the eartips, a dip in 8 kHz, boost everything above 11 kHz, fix upper midrange for the female vocals and tune the bass and lower mids to my preferences. I will thankfully do that because I already bought a diamond in the rough from Fiio for 150 dollars... using the technology for a hybrid iem from 2019. I'm really excited to see for myself what they can do for a 600 usd hybrid in 2024. Really, I absolutely love how you can choose to stay with simplicity for, let's say, watching (or listening to music on) RUclips from your smartphone OR go absolutely bananas on the EQ if you feel like spending some time to make the iems shine beyond what you thought was possible Now I just have to save the money 😢 Anyway... If you've already read until here... sources do matter for iems and Thanks for coming to my Tedtalk
@@giaanluu1583 I'm still saving money and given the fact the FX17 was also confirmed by Fiio but its price was confirmed to be around a thousand bucks, makes me wanna wait for reviews on those to see if the price difference is worth it (for me) or not. I'm a drummer who wants to fully and clearly hear the cymbals, so I care a lot about treble and usually boost everything above 9.3kHz (or earlier if there's no spikes). Therefore, the e-stat tweeters on the FX17 are something that might convince me over

ayoo let's welcome the new guy. I do like the faceplate design it resembles a supercar lol. Anyways the video is a great start for a change, will you guys show yourselves in the future videos?
would be interesting to compare the FH19 to some of the new planar iems... like the hidiz mp145 or mp143... would like to know how much better the FH19 is to the latest planar offerings...
I love FiiO unboxing and general quality/accessories but why oh why FiiO are you no longer shipping 2.5mm terminations with your cables? I know they can do it because they did with their prior gen and the the termination design is exactly the same. As it is, if you want to use one of the newer FiiO IEMs with 2.5mm you have to own something like the FA7 or an older cable and then transfer that termination to the newer cable, which is what I did with FD15. The whole point of swap-able termination is to cover all sources, they should be expanding it even more and include 6.35mm as well. Instead they are cost cutting on their most expensive IEMs lol.
Please compensate these to DF so i can actually tell where the colouration is. Showing a raw graph with the HRTF aggregated coupler response shows me nothing.
The guy replacing Timmy on GizAudio. Timmy just did a video basically announcing that he won't have the time to videos on this because of his new job at Crinacle's Hangout, so other youtubers are filling in and using the platform of his channel to do reviews for us and inform about the new releases.
Woah straight to the point. No intro. No spit. Raw.
Somebody get this person a cigarette…quick
Thanks for watching.
The build quality is super solid. Good take Axel.
Yeah, even the MMCX feels really solid. Thanks for watching.
I remember FiiO FD5 for its raw treble and Bass, FH19 looks good especially in build quality. Good review brother.
Even if Fiio is a bit behind sometimes, the build quality is one of the best, if not the best
Definitely, these are built like a tank. Even the MMCX connection feels really solid.
Yes but at the end of the day we only care about 1 thing.
Nice review, thanks man.
Thanks for watching.
Big shoes to fill Axel but you did a great job. I watch your channel and will continue to follow you and David here.
Fiio accessories are always top notch.
I’m getting a pair! ❤
Enjoy your new IEMs🙂
But that's the point. Good iem have note weight. And for loud volumes even better
Yes, great note weight.

They should really do tests on the best most expensive speaker setups and recreate it in iems.

More comparisons would be nice
can you add technical scale like tummy did
Please
Sure thing, I'll make sure to add one next time. 🙂
Any comparison to FA19?
I will look into it. Stay tuned and thanks for watching.

Can you also incorporate the Technical Scale? 😅

@@Gizaudio That's way more affordable than I expected. But so close to Aful Cantor territory
Was the PRICE mentioned at some point?

Hi
Hi 😀
Video feels rushed and you talk quite fast…can you slow down a bit?
Got it, I'll slow down. Appreciate the tip! 🙂
You can slow it down in the settings.
I'm using elysian pilgrim noir...the best
