I feel like the pam graduating art school would also feed into why she gets mad at him when he starts working in Philadelphia. She gets mad that he follows his dream and seems to leave her behind.

@@flatliner1234 I dunno about that, there didn't seem to be major financial losses for Dunder Mifflin from that, at least nothing that's brought up later as the reason why the company is failing. When Michael Scott Paper is getting themselves bought out by the company, Wallace mentions that Ryan cost the company a lot of money and that's kind of it. That line seems to be the only major consequence from Ryan's fraud, plot wise. It's not till much later, after Holly has come and gone away to Nashua, that corporate starts closing branches and Sabre shows up. However, for a great thought experiment, what could Karen have accomplished at corporate if she had just been given her chance?
Typically, you're only holding candlelight vigil for someone once, so she wouldn't be worried about them not buying more candles as they realistically wouldn't regardless of if they're found or not
And in the bring your daughter to work episode Jakey was also really nice to Pam, for example he asked pan if he could have a piece of candy but didn’t ask Dwight if he could touch him bobble head, and maybe Pam reminds jakey of Meredith when she was younger, had a husband, and didn’t drink
I personally always kinda theorized that she just gave up. I thought she didn't fail at all and didn't want to admit she gave up again... she even says something similar to that towards the end of the show about how she "quit" art school. I don't think she secretly graduated, I think she just chose Jim and went home.
also when she broke down crying when she couldn't convince dwight to make the building conditions better, she cries that she doesnt want to fail as an office administrator just like how she failed art school and at the sales job. thats not something she would have said while being extremely emotional if it hadnt actually happened
Pam did say that she didn't like how much of it was just designing logos, She had the realization that it wasn't really what she thought it would be and would actually satisfy her in a career, so that was one of the main factors in her deciding to quit art school.
When ever Meredith is called Jim’s wife she says “she wishes” and immediately drinks. Speaking in third person and trying to drink the pain away... nah jk
i think the “she wishes” commentary from meredith is her implying that pam wishes she “looked as good” as meredith, i don’t think she was speaking in third person
My theory is that Michael has a sixth sense for people reading. This is how he seems to get people on his good side, given enough time, and why he’s such a good salesman. This is also why he hates Toby, because his sixth sense tells him that he is the Scranton Strangler and not to be trusted.
their's actually a theorie out there that he is just a really good people person and knows how to speak to them. I prefer to think Michael is a secret genius. This is actually mentioned 2 times if not more during the show. Most notable when stanly says that Micheal may be a secret genius when he bluffs to try to get more money working for karen. Also when michael wanted to invite Jim and Pam for a diner party and has this fake assignment from corperate to make them not have plans and ends up cancelling the assignment forcing jim to go to the dinner party
I always heard the PBS in show show was originally documenting the aftermath of a coworker committing suicide but the film crew was so fascinated with the characters they found they decided to refocus the documentary around the wackiness of this office.
@@-marsey-240 In Performance Review when they're going through the suggestion box one of the old suggestions is a request for more mental health support. Michael doesn't recognize the name and Phyllis says, "He's the guy who..."and then she mimes shooting herself.
Interesting idea. Doesn’t really align with it being derived from the UK office though does it? Is a different universe of course, but the first episodes and premise are basically copies.
Bob Vance always mentions his business when introducing himself not necessarily for the people he is talking to but to the cameras of the "documentary".
Bob Vance is the Scranton Strangler and all the victims are people who refused to buy his air conditioners. That car in the parking lot wasn't Toby's it was Bob's. The call that came in was to Phyllis.
fullofwork yes but also I’m the early seasons michael all the time mentions tobys divorce and calls him a lot of names for it. And than I noticed in one episode he talks about his moms “friend” who comes over a ton. Which can lead you to believe his parents are divorced. Idk it’s just a theroy
Theory: Andy and Kelly we’re meant for each other and are truly a missed love story. They are both diehard romantics. Her parents want her with somebody with a future, he comes from wealth. They could have had a romance bigger than Phillis and Bob Vance of Bob Vance Refrigeration.
The candle theory makes no sense... she was concerned when they said they found the kid because it means the candles would be not be used and or not purchased.
She says “used” as in the vigil has already happened. The joke is that she only cares about her candles being bought and didn’t even bother to follow the story of the missing child.
@@ryanfenton382 Plus, if she WERE the one that kidnapped the kid, she would know if the kid was found or not and wouldn't have had he confused look on her face upon hearing the kid was kidnapped.
That Pam never failing art school theory makes me respect her so much more. Cuz she gave up her dream profession and dream job to be with Jiim, but then supports Jim to pursue his dream job when he was joining Athlead.
I love that theory but getting pregnant at a bank is a whole process unless the place was doing some fucked up shit you get a whole picture and tons of info of the person
@@jeambeam3173 I know it was a deleted scene, but Jan did seem nervous when Kevin figured out that they used the same sperm bank. She could still know Kevin was the father, but definitely not want his influence on Astrid.
To add on to the theory of Pam passing art school, when she applied for a job in Philadelphia she mentioned on her resume that she went to Pratt, which makes me wonder why she put it there at all. The interviewer also never mentioned that she failed, which it seems likely that he would say something.
I think the Pam not failing art school one makes sense when you also think about her reaction to Jim chasing his dream in Philly. She felt like she gave up her dream for their relationship but Jim wasn't doing the same but maybe she couldn't just say that outright because she never told him that she never failed art school? Seems plausible
Kevin theory: adding to it, Kevin does get other people’s relationships he called out the senator on how he was treating Oscar and Angela. So I could believe he had some insight for Jim
I remember how Kevin is comparing Pam and Karen by their looks, including who has a ‘prettier face’. He concludes they are a close call, but I wondered if that was an uncomfortable line to say.
I thought this was pretty obviously what the show was trying to say. Pam is literally told “if you want to keep going with art you need to leave Scranton behind” meaning she has to choose between her life in Scranton and her art career. Immediately after being given that choice, she suddenly, with no warning, has “failed” art school and is coming back to Scranton. I don’t even think that constitutes a theory, that’s literally just the plot lol
Kevin is Jim from the same universe that Meredith is Pam. In Season 7, Episode 14 “The Seminar” Andy asks for help from Kevin to replace Jim. Kevin says “I’m no Jim, I’m only Jim in a movie where Jim sees his future self if he never married Pam”. That is why Kevin is always up to date on their relationship as well as why he gets Jim to realize he needs to make a decision before he breaks up with Karen and goes after Pam.
Like the episode where Kevin starts hanging out in Jim's office while Jim is on his honeymoon. The credit card company phones and Kevin says that he IS Jim Halpert and even knows his address and social security number. The lady on the phone says "so obviously you aren't in Puerto Rico." and he says "NO! I AM!"
Hunter is definitely Astrid’s dad. Hunter’s song that Jan plays at the dinner party sounds like he’s talking about a night he had with Jan. And she “made him a man” lol.
You did notice when Jan walked around the car with a "wide stance" like she had just "been busy" but played it off as having too much wine to drink the night she picked up Michael from the telemarketing job. That was the clincher. She was a cheater. Never went to the sperm bank.
Kevin is Astrid’s dad. He donates to the clinic near the iHop which is the “exclusive” clinic she used to get pregnant. I think that’s in a deleted scene, but for sure Kev is the dad.
I think the meredith-pam theory is 100% true but not in the cannon. It seems like some sort of conceptal thing in the writers room. The statement "Mederith is Pam if she married Roy" is still true witout any alternate universe hijinks
Kevin is low key a genius. Not only did he win a Deuce-Seven Poker Tournament, but he also successfully embezzled (insider trading) enough money to buy his own bar.
Not to mention when Kevin, Andy and Darryl played Dallas the board game. In the episode Garage sale (season 7, episode 19.) Kevin frames both Andy and Darryl for playing the game incorrectly. Then, continues to take the money while Andy and Darryl blaming each other, leaving Kevin to run off with the prize.
Embezzlement is stealing money from your company, insider trading is cheating at the stock market by using classified prior knowledge that you’re not legally allowed to act on. They’re totally different
Embezzlement is pretty much just straight up stealing money from the company while you’re working for them. Insider trading is trading on the stock market with information not publicly available. They’re two completely different things
I think the show is trying to say that in reality, the lone between sweet, pretty, leading lady Pam and drunk, struggling, outcast Meredith is actually very thin. Its just a few strokes of luck that took both of them where they went.
meredith was really pam and a time traveller and goes back in time to get into pam's workplace and be an everyday reminder to pam not to mess up her decisions so she wouldnt end up being meredith
Well if that was the case, she would have vanished upon Pam and Jim getting together... unless!... they get divorced and that’s what turns Pam into Meredith
@@Mulverine unless getting the degree ended up causing issues between Jim and Pam in the original timeline, and she found a way to sabotage her education, while staying in Scranton to keep an eye on Jim...
yesss. i thought im the only one who thinks that she didnt bcoz of this pam haters. i mean she didnt really fail art school she just chose jim over art school. thats a very huge decision she made but it was worth it because her sacrifice were worth it. season 9 showed how much she grown as an artist. she got both jim and her art career.
I failed art school and i am not the dumbest. I was so annoyed and bored out by all these pretentious pricks there and the fact that you dont learn any techniques that i lost all real interest and then was kicked out. Pam would hate art school.
@@bunny-dl2fi okay big person. lets be pessimistic and accept that pam indeed failed art school because shes never good at it. happy? + dude its fictional show, theres no need to be so pressed.
Meredith clearly created a machine to travel between universes to correct her past mistakes in starting a family with Roy, nudging her past/alter self into choosing Jim and being happy.
further support for this theory is how Pam was so unhappy with Jim doing Athlead. she sacrificed her dream of being an artist and then he didn't do the same thing when the roles were reversed...
8:11 Everyone is impressed with her painting, but as someone who does graphic design, I'm impressed that she could do that with a mouse and keyboard with no tablet
I first thought that too, but then I realised it can all be done with lines and bezier curves and a noise modifier on top to make it look handdrawn, not too hard with a mouse (for a talented artist :P)
Pam actually cries about failing art school in front of Jim whole Dwight overhears their conversation. She fails art school. But in that episode you can see Dwight, upon hearing this, creates an elaborate plan for the new "office manager" to get a win and helps her gain the confidence she was desperately looking for
That's not fair. People should follow their dreams and partners should be supportive of that as much as possible, unless the dreams are way off/unhealthy, etc. Someone's universe shouldn't be comprised of only one person/their family.
Michael has poor social skills, and never built much of a friendship with anyone in the office prior to the show starting. When the show started, Michael thought of who he 'should' be, and just tried to become that person. That's why all the shots 'behind the scenes' show Michael as much meeker. This is also why he shows so much growth through the seasons, as he slowly becomes a more genuine person. I think he made a lot of effort to make the show entertaining, which resulted in the 'character' he is.
@@puneethvenkatrao332 I think they're referring to the footage we see of employees where seem to be unaware they are being filmed by the documentary film crew.
I have always thought that Meredith was a cautionary tale for Pam. Why else would they hire two actors with red hair. Redheads are really rare it’s not like you’re hiring two brunettes. They’re both moms, the weirdness/attraction of Meredith to Jim. Pam is uptight but loosens up as the series goes on, Meredith is definitely not an uptight gal. Meredith is not from another dimension, she just symbolizes Pam’s alternate future
There are a lot of people from Irish descent in Scranton, though, and Irish people statistically are the most commonly red headed. I still agree that it’s a good theory :)
I find Michael's interactions with Sasha (Toby's daughter) fascinating, in that they allow him the brief, but poignant, opportunity to fill a void in his life. Sure, it's just a band-aid, but the irony that such an important part of Toby's life "helps" Michael even a little bit is worth mentioning. Of course Toby--despite Michael's efforts--ends the fantasy by shooting down his suggestions as to how he (Michael) may actually be able to have a child of his own. I was also a little shocked that Michael wanted to be Sasha's godfather. Thoughts?
that might me why michael was always messing with him about how he's divorced and doesnt have a family. in a way he's jealous of him and probably thinking how this lame hr rep has what he always wanted
The theory of Pam not failing art school is interesting, and it makes sense with the facts that are presented in season 5. But I think fails when we consider that, in season 9, Pam felt guilty for Jim not pursuing his job at Athlead to be with her. If she didn't show this guilt about it at the end of the series, implying she knows she did give something up to be with Jim, I'd think it the theory could be true. Still really cool though.
Off all the theories on here this one makes the most sense. Pam was making a choice to be with Jim over pursuing art as a career. She knows that Jim would never let her chose him over her dreams, so flunking out makes it easier.
If Jim wasn’t chained to Scranton for Pam he may have taken the job at corporate in NYC. If Pam wasn’t chained to Scranton for Jim she could have been an artist in NYC. They could have had it all.
Name Jim wasn’t chained to Pam which prevented him from taking the job at corporate because he was with Karen. Jim went back to Scranton willingly because he wanted to be with Pam, not Karen.
I love the alternate timeline Pam/Meredith theory. That's the most interesting by far, and the supporting "evidence", especially Pam's drinking and Roy's connection with Meredith's kid, really brings it home for me.
"Honesty seems like pretty key in Jim and Pam's relationship" _thinks of the tons of times she's lied while looking into the camera just like Jim does_
Theory: Michael and Toby genuinely liked each other and got on really well so they were just mucking around for the cameras and throughout the course of the series it became an inside joke that they had a rocky relationship when in reality they loved each other
I never thought Pam _actually_ failed art class. And Jim would see right through it. The way they agree on how to go forward, they *BOTH* knew Pam was doing great at school, she'd just truly decided she didn't want to pursue that... because of the reasons stated in the video... But I never thought Pam was _keeping_ it from Jim, I just assumed they knew each other enough to play along and accept it.
Theories fascinate me, because they make you look at stuff you love from a different perspective. So even when they’re far fetched, just the thought process of shooting it down is fun.
I always perceived Pam telling Jim her failing art school was a bit sketched. And that she just wants to be with Jim instead of actually failing but Jim wouldn’t quite understand or want her to quit.
What theory is that? I could see that though,Angela did say he was strong and that she pick Roy over Jim. And that she played a game where she counted how many time Jim came over Pam's desk.🤔
11:34 i think the film crew was filming every day in the office universe but when the documentary aired they only showed the days where interesting things happened
I love that you commented in real time! 😂 I agree, I don't think she kidnapped anyone. There's something about these fan theories that are so fun to think about though.
I did find a loop hole in the Pam is Meredith Theory. The fact the Meredith is can’t have Dairy, while Pam has been shown to have dairy. Fun theory regardless
Meredith was divorced twice and what if the second divorce was worth Jim but Jim only wanted to get a divorce so that’s why Meredith is creeped out and in love with Jim.
But it’s always been burning since the worlds been turning.. AND He missed “how to make a cheesy pita 101” in business school. He was gone that day. It all adds up...
@@theneonllama416 right, I think Meredith could very well be alternate older Pam. Obviously she's older and probably would be dying her hair in the future and switched to the bright red because she's nuts. Seen it all too many times in real life 🤣 That being said, I think Meredith/Pam theory is incredible and never thought about it. I won't know the show runners made it deep enough that it's the case but definitely thought provoking.
Pam didn't fail art school; she quit. It's pretty clear that she wanted Jim more than she wanted a career as an artist. I mean, what woman wouldn't run home to cuddle up next to that man.
Kevin is very perceptive about people, and Jim would certainly realize this. If Jim were truly struggling with the decision of who to pursue a future with, Kevin's input would be valuable. That's why he told him to mull it over for a few hours rather than just immediately answering who's "hotter."
I've always thought Michael is actually smarter than he presents when the cameras are around. His branch is always doing the best numbers through out his tenure there and there are 2-3 select times in the show where Michael kills it in negotiation and sales, almost outside of his character's presented capability. I think he likes to ham it up when he's on camera because he's a kid in an adult body.....but his sales skills from his past and as current manager, are always intentionally obscured. So when the cameras are off, Scott is running a pretty strong branch.
There is some coincidences that happened. They didn’t bring up the Scranton strangler until Gabe showed up. And almost everyone in the office didn’t like him. But I think it’s Toby. There’s way to much stuff for it not to be him
I can't remember the episode, but when Jan calls Michael after he dumps her, he calls all the girls in to talk with him. Someone asks Michael "should I get Meredith," and Michael says "no, she's an alternate," as in she's the alternate to Pam.
Pam not failing art school but instead choosing Jim over it makes her motivation for wanting Jim to leave athlead/leap a lot better since she would have already have sacrificed her dream for the relationship.
The Pam and Meredith thing is interesting. Couple things you missed: Pam does actually show some signs of alcoholism throughout the series. She isn't shown to drink often or get cravings for alcohol, but when she does drink, it's always excessive and she ends up acting foolish. Also, Meredith has two kids but her husband took the girl, AKA "the good one," and Toby has a daughter who appears to be very well behaved.
so, I actually assumed while watching the episode where Pam leaves art school, for the second time, that she hadn't really failed, and lied to Jim. But, I think thats a really brilliant story telling technique, because of the little knowing smirk she throws at the camera. And, in the final season there's this whole thing where fans of the documentary questioned her devotion to Jim, who was written to be this like lowkey, selfless kinda guy for her, and Pam was so hesitant, so I feel like it was written to imply she lied, to know she really was as all in for Jim.
For #5, the one about the reality show, one of the pieces of his evidence is that they skip through days, but this actually makes sense for a Documentary. Not every day is going to be interesting to air. It makes sense that they would be filming almost every day but only use some of the footage.
If Im not misremembering, in the episode where Pam is fighting Dwight for better working conditions in the building, she cries because she's failing as office manager in the same way she failed as an artist and a salesperson, which takes away from the theory she graduated. Furthermore, even if she pretended to fail artschool, she has to (and did) tell Jim that she no longer feels like pursuing that career because shes happy with him in Scranton and Dunder Mifflin, why wouldnt she just admit she graduated and say the exact same thing?
4:27 Kevin is in fact supremely smart. He's drummer and leadsinger. While being a drummer you have to hold a very different rhythm than a leadsinger. So those kind of things make Kevin a supermind...
As much as I love the Pam never failed art school theory, I remember Oscar and his "Roommate" at her art display and their criticisms of her art, as much as the art had a lot of emotion in it, their criticism wasn't wrong even if it was cruel. Her lighting was way off, the parking lot was empty and had no lines, the area looked empty and lifeless. I don't think she's a bad artist, far from it, but she needed a lot more work before she was really successful.
Definitely wasn’t an impressive piece. And even if her work was gold, Pam lacked the drive for the art world as well. You have to assert yourself in a way that is too incompatible with her nature. She’s too sweet, too humble to ever be successful in that kind of industry.
the thing with this is that yes that piece of hers sucked but she must of had something that convinced PRAT to accept her- that is an extremely rigorous and hard art school to get into
She failed art school because they switched a class from acrobat to quark (2 similar computer Programms), so it wouldn’t really have to do anything with her artistic abilities much rather than her ability to deal with computers (which she also implies by saying she “hates computers”). Besides that I think her classes concentrated more on graphic design than typical “art” like the one from the display. In that Field she has proven to be pretty good. On the other hand in the opening of the scene, she walks out of the a building, probably her school, saying “I can’t believe this” & then proceeds to dial Jim & talk to him about it. So my take on this is that she didn’t really fail art class but just did not want to proceed with it anymore because of Jim & Scranton etc.

@@enochyau5486 i’m kinda late but if ryan never got the executive job i don’t think they would’ve had to sell out
@@flatliner1234 I dunno about that, there didn't seem to be major financial losses for Dunder Mifflin from that, at least nothing that's brought up later as the reason why the company is failing.
Actually, I read this as Jan was disappointed that they found the girl because they wouldn't need to buy her candles for the vigil anymore.
I was thinking that she was more worried that she was gonna get caught, because the girl was found
Typically, you're only holding candlelight vigil for someone once, so she wouldn't be worried about them not buying more candles as they realistically wouldn't regardless of if they're found or not
My favorite is the Meredith/Future Pam theory. Made me realize there are definitely more parallels to their characters than there are at first glance.
Genius!
Jakey was also the stripper at the finale must have been awkward since they’ve seen him since he was a kid
He was clearly flirting with her which makes the theory even weirder

Creed must have gotten 3 chairs, ripped the hole, and then used the chairs to destroy the chairs.
Maybe they chairs were infinity stones
Maybe creed is an alternate version of loki who is just having fun in a mundane office.
I really wished that Phyllis ended up being Erin's mom or at least she gets reunited with her kid at the end of the series like Erin's parents did
They danced at Angela's wedding. He was the stripper
The stripper was Meredith's son, not Phyllis's...
I was hoping for that one too... That Phyllis is Erin's mom.
If Phyllis them Erin isn't born in 86 and was born in 80-82.
But what if the people claiming to be Erins parents, were not actually her parents but just wanted to get some fame because Erin is famous now...
The « oh they found her » was very much just to show that she only cared about the candles and didn’t really care about the girl
I personally always kinda theorized that she just gave up. I thought she didn't fail at all and didn't want to admit she gave up again... she even says something similar to that towards the end of the show about how she "quit" art school.
I don't think she secretly graduated, I think she just chose Jim and went home.
I agree, on top of that she still did pursue art by making murals for the community. So its not like she actually quit her dream.
also when she broke down crying when she couldn't convince dwight to make the building conditions better, she cries that she doesnt want to fail as an office administrator just like how she failed art school and at the sales job. thats not something she would have said while being extremely emotional if it hadnt actually happened
Yea I don’t think she was even failing I think the pressure, and stress got to her. And she just blamed it on “failing” instead.
Pam did say that she didn't like how much of it was just designing logos, She had the realization that it wasn't really what she thought it would be and would actually satisfy her in a career, so that was one of the main factors in her deciding to quit art school.
They show her with a certificate and Pam on the phone. They tell her what a huge future she has in painting and drawing. I just think she chooses Jim.
When ever Meredith is called Jim’s wife she says “she wishes” and immediately drinks. Speaking in third person and trying to drink the pain away... nah jk
Hol up....
i think the “she wishes” commentary from meredith is her implying that pam wishes she “looked as good” as meredith, i don’t think she was speaking in third person
Of course, but it’s soooooo fun to piece these things together.

To add on to the theory of Pam passing art school, when she applied for a job in Philadelphia she mentioned on her resume that she went to Pratt, which makes me wonder why she put it there at all. The interviewer also never mentioned that she failed, which it seems likely that he would say something.
You can list a school you attended even if you did not graduate. I studied abroad in South korea, that school gets listed on every resume.

I think the Pam not failing art school one makes sense when you also think about her reaction to Jim chasing his dream in Philly.
I was always thought Pam just decided to drop out, and said failing so Jim wouldn’t encourage her to keep going
@@jacobcurle8964 I forgot about that, and always found it kind of sad. Granted, she doesn’t need art school
That is why Kevin is always up to date on their relationship as well as why he gets Jim to realize he needs to make a decision before he breaks up with Karen and goes after Pam.
genius !!!!
Never went to the sperm bank.
oh jan 1000% had an affair with hunter. especially with the clark storyline in the later seasons it all but confirms it
Kevin is Astrid’s dad. He donates to the clinic near the iHop which is the “exclusive” clinic she used to get pregnant. I think that’s in a deleted scene, but for sure Kev is the dad.
@@VIO__Why "for sure"? Thousands of other men could have donated there. Assuming 1000 men have donated sperm to that clinic, it's a 1/1000 chance.
I think the meredith-pam theory is 100% true but not in the cannon. It seems like some sort of conceptal thing in the writers room. The statement "Mederith is Pam if she married Roy" is still true witout any alternate universe hijinks
Yeeees this is perfectly articulated and should be 100% true in a good world
Kevin is low key a genius.
I wish they did have more of a Kevin-centered episode
Insider trading is not embezzlement
Embezzlement is stealing money from your company, insider trading is cheating at the stock market by using classified prior knowledge that you’re not legally allowed to act on. They’re totally different
Embezzlement is pretty much just straight up stealing money from the company while you’re working for them.
Insider trading is trading on the stock market with information not publicly available.
They’re two completely different things
I think the show is trying to say that in reality, the lone between sweet, pretty, leading lady Pam and drunk, struggling, outcast Meredith is actually very thin. Its just a few strokes of luck that took both of them where they went.
Pretty much, yeah. I don’t get why people judge Meredith, she’s clearly had a hard life.
such an astute point, and definitely sadly true
meredith was really pam and a time traveller and goes back in time to get into pam's workplace and be an everyday reminder to pam not to mess up her decisions so she wouldnt end up being meredith

Or hang on - might it be actually handdrawn and then maybe scanned and traced or something like that?
Pam actually cries about failing art school in front of Jim whole Dwight overhears their conversation. She fails art school. But in that episode you can see Dwight, upon hearing this, creates an elaborate plan for the new "office manager" to get a win and helps her gain the confidence she was desperately looking for
according to the theory, she might have been crying because she was willingly giving up on a dream she had sought after for a very long time
The Pam and Meredith theory give me such a eerie feeling.
I bet it broke a piece of Pam's heart when Jim decided his job was worth being away from her.

Toby and Erin are also referred as redheads. Nellie is a redhead too. Maybe the producers really like this feature
That kinda undermines the insane talent that is Allison Jones, the casting director.
There are a lot of people from Irish descent in Scranton, though, and Irish people statistically are the most commonly red headed. I still agree that it’s a good theory :)
but Pam is not a redhead, why does everyone think she is? she's clearly blonde or at max a light brunette :/
In some episodes, when they show Meredith's desk, you can see that there's a drawing of Dunder Mifflin Scranton hanging on the wall
Meh, I think it's just Pam apologist trying to justify her ruining Jim's dream.
Off all the theories on here this one makes the most sense. Pam was making a choice to be with Jim over pursuing art as a career. She knows that Jim would never let her chose him over her dreams, so flunking out makes it easier.
I wouldn't have even considered this to be a theory. That was how I took it from the start. I just assumed she chose Jim over the art career
If Jim wasn’t chained to Scranton for Pam he may have taken the job at corporate in NYC. If Pam wasn’t chained to Scranton for Jim she could have been an artist in NYC. They could have had it all.

Jim wasn’t chained to Pam which prevented him from taking the job at corporate because he was with Karen. Jim went back to Scranton willingly because he wanted to be with Pam, not Karen.

Zach Gowen's Leg, okay you have a point 😂
The Pam art school one makes complete sense and it’s probably what happened
The Pam/Meredith theory is next level awesome! Makes so much sense now
The crew could just have cut out the boring senses and just put in the exciting ones.

Exactly

I can't remember the episode, but when Jan calls Michael after he dumps her, he calls all the girls in to talk with him. Someone asks Michael "should I get Meredith," and Michael says "no, she's an alternate," as in she's the alternate to Pam.
"This theory states that the entire cast of The Office is actually just actors". You wouldn't be wrong about that
Pam not failing art school but instead choosing Jim over it makes her motivation for wanting Jim to leave athlead/leap a lot better since she would have already have sacrificed her dream for the relationship.
Jim in his toast said she was an alcoholic and maybe he was not wrong he told the truth on accident
@@quintenious TRUE on that wedding toast omg
so, I actually assumed while watching the episode where Pam leaves art school, for the second time, that she hadn't really failed, and lied to Jim.
I like the theory that the documentary started out because an employee offed themselves, but then it turned into a reality show.
Oh wait, that's kind off what happened.
Toby is the strangler, The Office's RUclips channel literally has a video called "making a strangler" with Toby clips
Zero dollars a year + benefits... at least she got those benefits 🤷♂️
Also one of the visitors at the art museum called her drawing a "motel art". Her drawings are good for an ameture.
He did not just scroll passed Toby being a strangler like it's unimportant. He IS the stranger!
