- We all have characters we love, characters we love to hate, and those that we just flat out hate. Today, I'm taking a look at the top 10 most hated characters of the Office. I'm not dishing out my opinions here, instead, I'm just reporting on what I see online and in conversation. The ranking might be totally subjective...but so is the way of Top 10 lists on the internet.

I’m confused how it is justifiable criticism to be mad at Pam for kissing jim while she was engaged to Roy but Angela isn’t even on this list
oop
It’s because Angela was presented as a scummy character throughout the majority of the series until near the end when she got humbled. So her doing something terrible doesn’t necessarily make people hate her since we know she’s mainly a caricature of that super rude and obnoxious hypocrite of the cast. Pam is presented as one of the “good guys” of the cast. Someone who’s meant to stand for “good” on the moral spectrums presented by the show. So when Pam does something bad, it hits much harder since that’s not what’s expected from her character.
Cause the show tried so much to make her and jim the "good people" so their bad behaviour never had backlash or noticed, so that make her annoying for some viewers, and i personally hate the "vanilla" vibe they had too
That’s because Pam was the office mattress.
@@raggaduxjones she dated the same amount of office characters as angela did...
I'm surprised Ryan isn't on here. After all he did start the fire.
It's video about hated characters not hated character choices

I think we should talk about Angela. Cheating while engaged, bullying especially to Phyllis and Kevin, hiring an assasin (for kneecapping at least) and so on.
cheating while engaged and then chheating while married and then lying to husband and to the father as well
@@bagyinszkinandor7472 but she got what she deserved. She was utterly humiliated. Dwight saved her.
Don't forget to throw homophobia in there as well
Rejecting Oscar too
Homophobia as well
The fact that Pam is hated for things that other characters aren’t even questioned for shows that Pam is the realest. The other characters mistakes are made into jokes and laughed off because of their personality. However pams are often written into the story and often developed into arcs because her character does make real mistakes and they do properly effect her, like any other human.
I agree although I think the issue is that the others don't pretend to be anything they're not. Angela and Dwight are always rude and weird. That's authentic. Pam (and Jim) think they're the only sane ones around while they also bully, lie, act arrogant and generally misbehave. I had the impression they were hypocrites judging others from a high horse of self-righteousness. To me the most authentic person is Dwight.
@@dr.florence what are you smoking
It’s because with every other character, it is acknowledged every time they do something wrong. The show shines a negative light on it. The show never does that with Jim or Pam. They are always painted as the good guys, no matter what they do. Even when they do the EXACT same bad thing that another character did (who was made to look bad for it), it tries to nudge you into siding with Jim/Pam. If the show made them look wrong when they did things that were wrong like they do for everyone else and held everyone to the same standard... they wouldn’t be hated on the way that they are. The only time Pam was ever painted to be wrong... was the time she ruined Jim’s prank, which isn’t even bad. Everyone does bad things. But the show likes to pretend that some characters do no wrong.
@@showmeyourteeth27Your ability to interpret the show is obviously dog shit. "The show wants you to like them, so I don't." Thanks for your hipster ass opinion. Is this a "Pam cheated too" argument? Angela FUCKED Dwight while engaged to Andy, and fucked Andy while telling Dwight she wasn't. Pam kissed a dude, even if you ignore the years of her boyfriend refusing to commit and being a total piece of shit, kissing one person isn't the same as repeatedly having cheating sex. Jim also isn't "shown to be the good guy" the show literally just plays out events, you can fucking react to it however you want. Jim is a level headed person who is cool in some ways, and a jerk in others, and the show doesn't hide that fact because if it did none of us would fucking be aware of his negetive qualities.
You people just want to dislike popular characters. There are people like you about every dc character, medium, or topic in popular culture, you're easy to spot because your arguments are non sequiturs.
@@showmeyourteeth27Pam tried to ruin Jim's career for selfish reasons, it's one of the worst things any character does in the entire show.

Pam was one of the only characters who cared about others feelings and tried to help them feel better when they were sad. If you analyse every character in the office as detailed as people are analysing pams, everyone else is much worse and heartless. Also surprised that Angela or ryan are not on the list.
I appreciate your assessment of Pam as a caring (if Pollyanna) soul, but there are those whose own self-awareness makes them “irritated” by those seeking better angels. Just sayin.
Oh, and yea, Angela was definitely a self-righteous b*tch. Villainous liar, at several points...
She is up until the point it inconveniences her then quite the opposite; ex. Pam's reaction to Michael and her mom dating.
@@Anarchristian_Beanz yeah... Imagine being upset that your immature boss who's definitely gonna hurt your mom is dating her.
@@stolenart9290 and then being completely vindicated after you accept that said immature boss is dating your mom and then he breaks up with her on her birthday with you there cuz she's too old. Pam had every reason and right to not want Michael to date her mom.
Toby being so hated and bullied by Micheal just broke my heart.. :( and no one helped him.
Yep, I’m with you on this. Toby’s just a quiet, middle of the road guy who wants to do his job right, and sometimes that’s perfectly ok.
The actor of Toby is a writer for the show, so he was the one constantly writing his own character to be treated like that lmao

ryan is probably my favorite character. hes meant to be a douchebag thats why its funny. gabe is ok, hes kinda annoying
Brian's very first reveal was a very touching meta-moment.
They should have never shown or mentioned him after that one scene.
I agree. I think they broke through an unnecessary wall by going down that path. We never did learn when Jim and Pam became friends with Brian and his wife, how long, etc. Never knew why they got divorced (other than to create another potential love triangle for Pam). Never fully explored if Brian had interest in Pam. The fight she had with Brian about the hot mic's didn't really make sense. It was just a lot of drifting fluff.
@@jennifermorrison4363
True.
Sad, because that one little moment works so well.
2 things- Pam is an absolute ANGEL!!! Especially in comparison to EVERY other character. Where the hell is Ryan on this list??!!
The difference is Pam is one of the protagonists and is treated as a good person whereas characters like Angela and Ryan are treated as villians. Heroes are just held up to much more scrutiny, not daint I agree with this but thats the way she goes.

Hes so ridiculous its funny 😆
Yes, I believe so.
Creed should have had a spin off. It would have been a hit.
No. It's Mose.
Naw, it's Kevin
I think Angela deserves to be on this list. She is always picky, in a bad mood, making others feel bad, had an affair, made Andy and Dwight duel over her.
She’s the real office mattress and a giant hypocrite
I think Pam was a positive character, the fact that she cared about everyone in the office. She was always the one that needed to cheer up micheal when everyone turned their back on him. Also she did a good job being the office administrator.
she didn’t care about anyone in the office besides jim and sometimes michael when it benefited her
Pam is a horrible, horrible wife. She never seems to evolve nor being comfortable with anything resembling chance. She's such a simple, boring and plain women. Jim gave up his dream to be with her. Jim gave up being manager SEVERAL Times for her. A dream that could've set their family up for years. She never realized that Jim made sacrifices too and actually doubting Jim's loyalty. Personally I find Phyllis insufferable at times. Most of the time she's not really on camera and when she is, it's pretty ok. But there are instances where Phyllis' attidude is through the roof and she's the sassiest and most annoying person in the building.
I hate her in the episode where the salesmen get those new Leeds. All of the Sales staff are annoying but Phyllis is just so cocky and annoying.

I love that people think Pam actively (or even passively) tries to break up Jim and Karen. She literally convinced Jim to stop being an idiot and let Karen move in down the street. In being more honest with herself, she says in the last episode of season 3 that she and Jim never got their timing right, accepting that there’s nothing left to happen between them, until Jim comes in and asks her on a date.
YES!!! And people forget that Jim did the same thung
Yea? And she also publicly confessed her feelings for Jim after he had a gf in front of her
I really feel so sorry for Andy Bernad he's was my favourite character after anger management. But the writers literally butchered his character. He was left with nothing by the end.
I mean not taking your girlfriend to the ship trip and missing work for 3 months is not exactly a sign of a likable character
I hated the replacement guy Who made Aaron left Andy right when he started talking to Aaron and I already hated him from experience having trust issues
@@RudiSkucek-wq4cc Erin*
He always sucked
Charles kicks the ball 100 mph at Jim's face from point blank range and proceeds to ask him why he ducked. That is my most hated moment of the entire show.
Oh my gosh right?? I played soccer (not professionally lol) as a goalie and there's no way I would have let a ball hit me in the face at that speed.
as far as im certain, he would have been more hurt then whoever actually got hit (i cant remember at all).
YES THANK YOU!!! I had that exact thought! The man launched the ball like a fucking rocket straight at someone's face during a parking lot kickabout lmao.
It was funny tho
Right!! He had no business kicking the ball so hard in the parking lot. What was his plan? Send Jim to the hospital??
If you hate Pam that’s a red flag for me and we simply can’t be friends.
@Avery R. Thanks, I get that on almost every single one of my RUclips comments lol. The PJ fandom is strong on RUclips.
Pam is a horrible character. She is bitchy, has a horrible attitude and always complains about her baby weight. She also made Jim quit his dream career in Phili just because she is a selfish bitch.

Andy was fine after anger management, then his character got screwed over in season 9
i can see how pam gets hate, but she is still one of my favorite characters.

@@nestlyyyy Well she's not that bad that's why it's hard to see sometimes. But like her whole war with Ryan even though Ryan is the worst and like when Dwight is listening to Eybody Hurts and she and Jim comfort him but like in a mocking way, and the whole thing with The Committee to Plan Parties, and when she has ttalking head about raising her hand for Jim's idea where she says "I forgot I have to support him." She's no where near the bratty levels of like Kelley, but when she does stuff like that it's like her version of Jim's pranks. It's her coping mechanism and I think it's part of her charm.
@@mozzarellakrunccy5655 she didn’t do anything wrong with the committee to plan party’s, they did that cause Angela was being a bitch
Them adding Brian wasn't a plothole. Not including the camera crew in previous episodes was a plothole.
I feel like, of all the choices made during season 9, Clark is one of the few wins. It's a shame he had to leave for a chunk of episodes for the actor to film a movie because he had really good chemistry with Dwight. There is, though, the one episode where he gets super creepy with Erin about the whole TV hosting job which aged like milk. But aside from that, he was a great foil to the characters he was paired with. The actor found the right balance between him being a bit of a smartass but also having heart, and him trying to fit in with Dwight was always the best part of his episodes.
Plop, on the other hand, was really boring and didn't have much chemistry with anyone. He was basically there just so they could get yet another romance going and ruin Andy's relationship with Erin.
how did it age like milk?
I actually quite enjoy Andy, I think he was hated only during his time antagonizing Dwight and when he went on the boat trip.
Andy is dead set top 5 best characters for me
I like him also!
Same.
he is my least favorite character always
@@doogty5104 He was only bad at the beginning and when he came back from the boat trip
Andy was a phenomenal character until season 9. The writers really didn’t know how to make the show without Michael.
LOL no he wasn’t. He was awful. He was tolerable his first 2 seasons, then intolerable after that.
I agree with you. I don't like his first season, but after that, he was fine. And then, in the final season, he was awful again. I understand that they needed to give him an excuse to leave, but he didn't have to be so annoying and rude. But okay hahs
Lmao I wish I felt like this. I’ve hated Andy since he was introduced to the show.
i loved andy. until they made him an insufferable douche.
@@b4Sed1593 ? I think he got better as the show went on
I don't hate Brian. I actually feel really bad for him. I see a guy who, over the course of 9 or 10 years, fell in love with one of the subjects of the documentary and was never able to pursue Pam (Due to his employment with the filming crew) and, effectively, had to watch Jim pursue those same feelings for the same girl and win her over, get married, and start a family. I think his breaking point was when he saw Jim start to squander the love he and Pam had created over the years.
I know I’m in the ‘Minority’ on this, but I actually like Charles Minor in the show. He’s the closest thing the show has to a villain and is the antithesis of Michael’s philosophy. And Idris Elba plays him perfectly!
Idris Elba is truly remarkable in the role. Shoulda got an Emmy for his portrayal. The reason the character was so unlikeable was his incredible acting! He got him so well.

Pam is my favorite character. She's just so human and relatable, you can't hate her, she can be so sweet and funny but is also so cunning sometimes. I feel like a lot of people who hate her dislike her evolution... she stopped being just shy and in love with Jim, she became more outspoken etc...
I think Toby is the only character in the series which is a true friend to michael. He geniunly likes michael, wants to befriend him even after all of blatant attempts of michael in annoying and insulting Toby. But his awkward persona is in its way to establish a friendship with michael. He is also very professional and always step up against michael's wrongdoings and never tries to "bribes" him with ignoring his bad actions to gain Michael's friendship. All of other close people to Michael (Dwight, Jim, Pam, Holly) at some point in the series hated him, stabed him in the back, pandered for him or hurt his feelings, but not Toby. I think Toby is not a hated character at all. I only pitty him because of his awkwardness and boring personality, and I think Michael lost a potential true friend by hating Toby and not giving him a chance.
I LOVED Andy so much until the 9th season. As a die-hard, "deep track" , Office fan...the ONLY beef I have with the entire series is what they did with Andy's character. I understand that they had to work around Helm's movie career but I just feel that the writers kind of gave up on his character all together and completely deserted the humanity that he showed from seasons 3 thru 8. He had such potential for so many greater things. It's almost like they threw us a bone by having him land solidly in the finale but I still hated how nasty, and desperate, his character became in season 9. Just my opinion though.
So so disappointing. S5-7 gave him such a good arc
@@zanelarson2451 I feel like Ed Helms should have protested more or something, haha. Like when he comes back in the 9th season and walks in the break room after "cleaning up" before the meeting with Wallace....he looks like a completely different person in a very bad way. I agree, such a disappointment, and disprespectful IMO, to his talent as an actor...
I did that video with 10k Productions last month on Andy. If you haven't seen it, it's worth the watch!

@@Mulverine I had not seen that video, thanks so much. I love that you actually read, and respond to, random comments on your videos. You have dedication of a true "regional manager." Or at least an "assistant TO the regional manager." :)
I think the set up was good. Everything that lead up to him going away, plus his parents that never really loved him going bankrupt and having him handle the mess, he went kind of insane, and of course he was a dick and crazy, he was going through a mental crisis on the inside. This is super obvious once he gets to the auditions show.
The Andy of the last episode looks to me the same way a recovering drug addict is, he still has inside problems, but is all cleaned up on the outside and is finding a purpose in life other than the one he had in the past
I really don’t understand why they screwed over Andy so bad in season 9. His character developed so much over the show, and they completely threw all of that away in the last season. He was finally with the woman he loved, but then he left her to go on a random boat trip. Andy’s character really went downhill from there. He became manipulative, controlling, and just stupid. I think that it was very unnecessary. And it kinda seemed like the writers were out of ideas, so they just made Andy a douche.
Yea, it’s the worst part of the show for me. Especially since they did that right after Season 8 which was Andy’s season!
mamaaaaaaa just killed a man
I could be wrong but i think the writers were pissed at andy for going out to do a movie
@@Pshady23 well he left for the movie so they came up with that stupid reason for Andy to leave for a while instead of just giving him a vacation or something

The boat trip with his brother was when he made the Hangover movie. So, after he came back, he was seen as a bigger douche than before. Season 8, he probably wanted out, plus the show was close to running its course at this point.
I am surprised nobody hates Holly Flax. She dumps Michael to avoid a long distance relationship and then dates that guy AJ long distance. What the heck?
Michael talked about that double-standart well enough.
She knew it was only temporary transfer to Scranton, because Toby was returning after strangler case, so it was fine having long distance for couple months, first time with Michael she thought she'd stay in Nashua for rest of her career so no real way to continue.
I hate her.😂
Now, I don't really love this character, but as you rewatch the office a couple of times and the whole "this is the main character, so they are always right" feeling wears off, Charles dislike for Jim really starts making sense. From the bad first impression, to Jim fumbling on his explanation of what he does as the office's #2, to him wasting an entire day with the whole rundown thing instead of just asking about it.
Now, I'm not saying that Jim is a dislikeable character, but, Charles' attitude towards him doesn't feel forced or irrational either.
Haha totally! Trying to blame Dwight for why he's wearing a tuxedo at work. That was cringe level midnight lmao. But Charles is still totally petty when he says "must be nice to get a rest from your rest" at the picnic. Lmao.
Charles was good villain but they introduced him at wrong time. They pushed how Scranton was only profitable branch, and Michael was a genius and everyone wanted to know his secret, at same time hired a guy who tries to change everything about their work. It just didn't make much sense, why wouldn't he focus other branches if they are doing much worse
Ironic how Toby was the honorable mentioned considering how the only reason he's on the list is because *specifically* Michael hates him
It's not just Michael. It's anyone who has the manager job. The running gag is from the corporate trope that "everyone hates human resources."
David Wallace hated the HR guy at corporate.
Andy told Toby something along the lines of "now I see why Michael hated you so much."
Even Jim is easily annoyed with Toby when he was the co-manager.

I can speak for myself and not others, I believe she is holding jim back.
Also I like pam but sometimes she had some kinda awkward, or cringy, moments.
She just constantly holds back herself and the people around her due to her insecurities. For example, when she left Roy, he was noticeably happy and had his own business. Before, he was stuck in a job he hated solely because Pam wanted to have him there. Jim wanted to start his own business and Pam held him back because she didn’t want to deal with change. She isn’t interesting and she doesn’t have a defining personality that really makes her seem interesting. I mean compare Pam to Dwight, Jim, or Michael and the huge difference is the personality and jokes. In my opinion, that’s why she’s hated.
@@Shockingbeard From what? I see this all the time, what is she holding him back from?
Promotions at work? Jim is promoted several times at DM. When Wallace comes in to talk about making him a manager, Pam is sitting right there, cheering him on.
Working in Philly? Jim actually works in Philly and leaves of his own volition.
Working at corporate? Jim turned that down on his own.
Working in Maryland? All Jim.
Jim wants a family. Pam provides him with a family.
What exactly is he being held back from? The main knock on Jim is that he doesn't care about his work. Is that something Pam is making him do? Literally every decision Jim makes is on his own, without her input. Buying a house, moving to Stamford, the Niagara Falls plan B at the wedding, working in Philly; all Jim Halpert. She factors into them, but he makes them on his own.
I kinda hate Stanley. Lazy, rude, disrespectful, sleazy, unfaithful and doesn’t care for his coworkers. There’s nothing good about the guy.
The entire time I thought Andy was extremely annoying and I never liked him
not gonna get into it, but Pam had every right to act the way she did during the Philly arc bc let's not forget, Jim was lying to her and hiding that he had invested in the company for several episodes. she expressed how she felt about investing, and instead of having a conversation with her about it, he went behind her back. they're _married_ it's her money and her life too.
Also she was left raising their kids that at some points it seemed like he straight up didnt care about like the recital, and he had a history of doing things behind her back like buying the parents house
I hated Jim at that time, leaving his wife with 2 babies because he had a dream. How hard it must be to be an almost single mother of two and a working mother. I'd be a total zombie.
@@dickottel it's not like he did it out of pure self enjoyment. Starting his own company so that he can provide more for his family + doing what he likes. Of course it's not perfect because Pam had to deal with 2 kids, but like no one is in the right or the wrong here.
Guys come on
Lets not forget
Ryan started the fire
@@Darceyab he also treated her like shit cause she couldn't record the recital
I still don't get how pam is hated so much... she's one of the best characters in my opinion.. she's kind and helpful to everyone .. plus no one is perfect...

@@memoiscray7776 I was just gonna say..
My only problem with the character is she didn’t support Jim on athleap at all until the end of series
I see Pam Haters as the same ones that will angrily argue to the death that 'Die Hard' is a Christmas movie. 😄
And Ryan isn't on this list? My, how the turntables...
Agree! I also think she became really funny from about season 3 onward
Val needs to be on the list. She was running a weird game on Darryl. Remember "yeah my mom's name is Brandon"?? Her vibes were all the way off.
I’m confused about the hate towards pam as soskomw who was obsessed with her and Jim’s story arc and her being an absolutely amazing artist etc honestly I thought she was a super loveable character and the way she clashed with Angela was also amazing
When you started to say the number one, I said, “Ryan!”
Pam? Pam?! PAM?!!
I hate people who hate Pam.
I don’t hate pam but I don’t really find her funny she is one of the most normal people on the show other than Jim
I agree with the last line 😌🤣
oh.. anyways, RYAN STARTED THE FIREEE!
Pam is the absolute worst
@@kylesun1827 nope
Gabe is generally pretty hated (despite I like him). Also Roy is designed to be a villan, and he is undoubteldy the most hated of the firsts season, i also hate the fact that he had one of the most incredible (and undeserved) happy ending. California was amazing but the writers didn't have specific plans for him and eventually they inexplicably turned him into a sexual maniac, completely disinterested in his job. Andy was probably my favorite character after Michel but they destroy him in the last season, without any reason.
They destroyed Andy because they were angry at Ed Helms
Yeah. This is pretty much exactly my thoughts
Except. I just never liked Gabe
@@neal3914 I don't know honestly
. Also Carrell left the show (forever) but the writers gave him a perfect happy ending. I think they tried to change Andy's character to make him funnier and similar to Michael (and they miserably failed, destroying his path during the preavious seasons) Also in the latest episodes of the 8 season and in the first few episodes of season 9 he was becoming pretty annoying.
@@andreas6151 they were mad a Ed Helms because he was acting on another show and they didn't know about it
I feel like I’m the only one who didn’t mind Nellie all that much, she was eccentric at points and the villain arc was kinds annoying but her story later on kinda redeemed her for me.
I never liked Catherine tates shows in the UK so was determined to hate her character but when they brought in that backstory I had to feel sorry for her. And jim was sweet in trying to stop the mean party they were preparing for her. A good character development there for jim who usually showed no mercy when it came to pranking
Boom Mic Brian hardly seemed like a "new" character. Remember Jim's astonished reaction to Pam's pregnancy, when he looks at the crew like they're friends because they've been together all this time? I felt Brian was there. Like he's known Jim and Pam for nine years, we're just never shown that and all their conversations are off-camera. Jim and Pam even consider Brian and his wife to be their "couple's friends" and it's only in the ninth season we're allowed to know of it because Brian is no longer part of the crew and they can finally talk about it on camera. His character may be seen as an unwelcome element during Jim and Pam's problems, but I'm surprised how hostile people are to it. He's an old friend we've never been allowed to know about.
That warehouse guy..... I’m so glad he didn’t last even an episode. I felt bad Pam had to suffer through such a brainless bully who ruined her mural in an inappropriate way.
To me that guy looks and acts like Roy 2.0 just not dating Pam this time.

The F*ing Lizard King was one of my favorite characters on the show.
Same here man, I think the writers did a great job (and must have loved writing for him) I'd have loved to see more of him, whatever his actual name is.

WHY ISNT ANGELA TOP 5?! She put Dwight through more than Jim, cheated on every one of her spouses, was the meanest person in the whole office-and consistent at it, lied about the baby not being Dwight’s, got Andy and Dwight to fight for her, etc.
On top of that she only choosed Dwight when she hit absolutely rock bottom and didn't have any other choice other than ending up as single mother on street. She gets happy ending unlike some way better characters such as Oscar and Meredith.
After watching The Office for a while, I tended to forget that the series was ‘a documentary’ and the moment when Pam talked to Brain, it low key threw me for a loop and seriously humanized these fictional character for a second. Like, you tend to view fictional characters on a different plain (as you should) but when The Office broke the fourth wall in that moment I actually saw them as real people which is kind of impressive for writers to pull off. In my opinion of course.
P.S. Also Jan and Nelly have got to be the best worst characters in the series, no one will change my mind.
shut up
Yeah same, like I would see some characters on the show crying or something and just think, that's some good acting, but then with these fourth wall moments I really got immersed like holy crap, these are supposed to be actual people instead of characters
Don’t forget about gabe

i loved how crazy and creepy Robert California was. he added something we’ve never seen in the show before.
Who hates Pam? She's one of the best and most relatable characters in the show and one of the main four. Kinda seems misogynistic to hate Pam for the reasons listed and not someone like Dwight.
Agreed that hate for Pam is dumb, but the Dwight comparison makes no sense lol
Number one for me would definitely be Phyllis. She was sweet at times, but she stole Pams wedding, let guys flirt with her so Bob could beat them up, had a hit and run with Bob that potentially left the victim dead and so many uncalled for comments like the thing that Pam can't assign clients to whoever she is sleeping with that week. Yikes.
Oh for sure!! I think she gets away with it because most of the time she is a little more forgettable. But she is a horrible person. Oh also her and Bob ran someone over on their honeymoon and just left him there.
She also can be shady sometimes.
Phyllis definitely got worse when she married Bob. She was always looking for that power and money and Bob had both so she could indulge in that lifestyle.
I 100% agree because at least Angelia was just straight up a B***h; you knew what you were getting. With Phyllis, she was just one sneaky B***h.
Phyllis is definitely one of those bitchy busy-bodies who have been there way too long. Every office has them
I really enjoyed Robert California. I can respect he’s not for everyone, but he was exactly my taste of humor.
He's good because I hate him so much, he's so dumb it's hilarious
*Im the fucking lizard king.*

Andy was a really great character when the writers wanted him to be. He was probably one of the most likeable characters in seasons 5-7 and ed helms played him perfectly
ok, imma keep it short. Pam is actually a good character. if you disagree it is your opinion because your wrong
the scene where andy punches the wall and jim just hangs up the phone kills me every single time
I never knew people hated Pam so much. My favorite characters are 1. Dwight 2. Kevin and 3. Pam I’m sorry but Pam is very relatable to me even more than Jim and I enjoy watching her make tough choices and grow as a person. Also her relationship with Dwight and other people in the office is very nice. She is a kind person who cares about people but she also has enough self-respect to not have people walk all over her. Feel free to argue but Beasley doesn’t seem that bad to me
ROFTLAMO!
Don't worry, the all-encompassing hatred will come with time and more exposure to the community
It just seems to be misogynists who hate or dislike Pam Pam!.
I was shocked to find her at the top of the list too. Guess I'm out of the loop
I love Pam too! For all the same reasons you've said, she's not perfect but owns it and in the end she overcomes a lot (as well as standing up for herself, when she sells the house and is finally happy with leaving Scranton)
I hate what they did the Andy's character. He was hated when he was first introduced, then we loved him ( I loved him and Erin it was so sweet) and then they made him so terrible.
I feel Pam receives more hate than Angela because Pam is much more of a main character. Angela can be annoying but isnt on the screen nearly half of every episode
Ed Helms breathed life into Andy’s character with his acting, singing and his talent of playing so many musical instruments. Andy’s character arc didn’t deserve the way the creators had to end it and worst part is that Erin and Andy didn’t happen. Instead plop and Erin happened. That was really sad and weird.
Honestly I think that Erin was bad for Andy. I think she should have ended up with just herself, especially because she was rebuilding a relationship w her parents at the end.
Yes thank you
I heard that Ed Helms was a pain to work with and the writers took it out on Andy lol.
@@katimillard5924Not entirely. I mean you could see the spark between them and I felt they actually connected well.
Yeah sure dude. That guy is NOT funny anywhere.
I’m sorry you are missing the following people, like if you agree.
Gabe
Ryan
Also I don’t rly get the pam thing.
Those two were written to be hated in certain seasons. I think Ryan is hilarious in the second half of the show, even if he becomes a douche. Gabe in season 8 is one of the funniest characters imo.
Why does Michael hate Toby so much
Add Phyllis to that list !
@@micalmical8993 I think it’s because Toby never approves of Michael’s plans or shenanigans, and is instead the constant voice of reason who tries to stop Michael from what he’s doing. Also, Toby is with HR, so Michael doesn’t really feel as though he is part of the Scranton branch’s “family”
@e m m a z d j e l a r I don’t doubt that Roy was a terrible partner but I doubt it got physically abusive. He was a fairly calm dude until Pam told him about the kiss. The outburst surprised Pam and caused her to ran away.
Not doubting that his capability to be abusive, but I don’t think they would have added domestic abuse in a relatively lighthearted sitcom
Really pleased to see a list where Gabe Lewis isn't mentioned. He really spiced up the series and became my favorite character extremely quickly. Was really surprised to go online and realize that so many people couldn't stand him lol. Good list!
The only time I actually hated him was when they brought him back for that one-off episode where Andy hires him and Pete's ex to get back at Erin and Pete. He's so cringe in that episode it physically hurts. Other than that I thought he was a pretty funny comedic punching bag
@Dead Evermore Yeah, but by the last season I felt like they destroyed every single character's good traits and bringing back Gabe for that one episode was unnecessary. But he's still my favorite :)
What a coincidence that most of these hated characters are from the later season, especially Season 9.
They absolutely destroyed Andy in s9. Loved him when they built him
I simply can’t ever understand why anybody would hate Pam
Because they are sexist and can't handle realistic characters in television.

Also the fact that Gabe isn’t on here is criminal! He should be the second slot! This is insanity!!
I need to see Andy’s parents on this list
YES!! The dad, anyway. He was just horrible.
hahaha omg yes!! forgot about them. total through and through villains.
The only time I like Todd Packer is when he insisted Michael to say “That’s what she said” after Jim was setting him up.
“And speaking of bad taste in your mouth...” *gets a RUclips ad for pizza*
Thing that bugged me about the Toby hate was it continuing once Michael left. They kept hating him because...a former boss they rarely listened to or respected and only intermittently followed his lead in any respect. Paper Airplane and the Finale it became especially petty.
