  • Our semi-nomadic family has been eating our way around the world for the past 20 months and after spending the earlier part of this week in the Hamptons, our 34th stop is the world-famous beach and surf town of Montauk on the easternmost tip of Long Island, New York! We’re only here for one perfect day and we’re gonna do our best to explore the area while eating and drinking like the locals. So let’s start devouring!
Our Montauk project was all about finding the ideal local food and activities for our Montauk New York vlog and that included hitting the Montauk Point Lighthouse, Montauk Beach (of course), and plenty of the best restaurants in town!

    ABOUT US.
We’re the Lockwoods: a family with 3 kids, 5 careers, and endless passion for adventure. Two years ago, we decided it was time for Phil's ad agency to abandon the in-person, 5-day workweek. So they 86’d the office and work hours, allowing our own family to start traveling almost constantly. We now work, school, and explore in a different place every week-from our own mountain and beach homes to exotic villas, resorts, and yachts around the world. As we experience and support diverse cultures, we hope to inspire more families to design a life of freedom and adventure.
Because there’s a new American Dream. It’s one that’s void of templated expectations, templated career paths, templated education, templated families, templated homes, and templated lives. Freedom is no longer an American tagline-it’s just the new, global way of life.
Every day that you spend doing something that doesn’t fulfill you to your core, you’re living your life on pause. You’re deferring genuine family time with no guarantee that there will be a tomorrow or a someday. Some people follow that mentality their entire lives. We’ve chosen to never live that way again.
We appreciate you following our journey. The more our channel grows, the more time we can spend traveling to more locations, contributing to these cultures, highlighting local businesses, and sharing inspiring stories from these communities. So please consider liking, commenting, and subscribing so that you can stick with us for the long haul.

Mom and dad are brave creating the video with kids in tow. It makes the video authentic and relatable for those of us with kids, hope you continue to do so. I stayed two weeks in Montauk after I was done with graduate school. Loved running on the beach each afternoon.

Thank you. For sharing. I am poor on Long Island so maybe I can just walk around.

That's the best plan, Michelle! We walked up the lighthouse, around the easternmost tip, along the beach, and all through town. Nothing beats beautiful views and burning some calories in the process ❤️

It costs like $70 for a deluxe sweatshirt, even, at the general store in Sag Harbor. I know cause I was out there last summer and bought an "on sale" clearance blue sweatshirt!
For a measly $30. I felt priviiliged. LOL The Hamptons are not for the poor, alas.

Just go to Flushing, Queens, park north of N. Blvd., and go spend $20 and get like a massive feast. LOL Cheaper than Montauk but not as scenic.

@@thiscorrosion900 Even Nassau looks better , than doing the same shit over and over in Suffolk County. Sorry just getting tired of it.

@@thiscorrosion900 And it cost $20 dollars just to go to the beach . Some places we can't go , because we don't live in their town.
