i grew up on long island and there is no question some of the best beaches on the planet unfortunately a not so great climate, for the last 50 years i am here in south east Florida were we also have some of the best beaches on the planet with much better weather i am happy to say great video brings back lots of good memories
Wonderful capture of all of these beaches!! My personal favorite is Cooper's Beach in Southampton. Stay at the Southampton Inn and enjoy the town, beach is magnificent!
Such a fantastic overview of Long Island beaches ! It's remarkable that all of this beauty and variety resides in such close proximity to New York City - One of the world's most vibrant and cosmopolitan cities.
Jersey beaches can’t compare. Grew up in Monmouth Co. so spent plenty of days at Sea Bright beach clubs & Manasquan later on. But my grandparents had a house in East Hampton so that’s where I learned to swim & would spend whole summers as a kid. I remember people going on about LBI. Laughed when I saw it. Water towers, telephone wires & McMansions. Sad

I found Cupsogue Beach to have the cleanest waters. Having said that, it changes based on wind and weather. It also seems that the further east you go, the cleaner the water you'll find.
@@PaulBalzano Can confirm. As a native to LI, it's absolutely more clear water out east. The water is frequently a 'turqoise' color when you go east of Moriches. It's rare to see any nice color to the west of Moriches.
This is written by someone who clearly isn't a native. They don't know the majority of smaller beaches on LI, and instead concentrated solely on the hamptons and fire island.
Actually, I’ve lived on Long Island my entire life and visited many many beaches. Which smaller beaches have you been to that are worth mentioning? Do tell.
@@PaulBalzano Likewise. There are literally dozens of town beaches that could qualify - Primarily because you get peace and quiet, instead of chaos and crowds. But you still have playgrounds for kids, a place to eat, and tidy bathrooms. Won't discuss my local beaches, because then I'm revealing (with pretty tight accuracy) where I live... Also love the fire island beaches that you can only reach via ferry such as Ocean Beach. And also really like Sunken Meadow State Park. A lot of LIers do not bother to travel to the Hamptons or Montauk to visit a beach. There's literally no need at all.

You picked some nice places to live 🌞

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. I'll have to check out Cooper's Beach. Thanks for letting me know.
I always wonder if Gloria Vanderbilt lived there because of Anderson’s dad. 😉
Love Long Island beaches!! Great video, thanks.
Thanks Karen! Glad you enjoyed it…

Hi Ken, thanks for your comments. I’m always surprised when I hear about LI locals that never experience our beautiful beaches here.
That's what makes NY State so unique
You can do everything here including beaches and hunting for deer in the woods
@@PaulBalzano yes lots of long islanders don’t go to city or the beach lol
Wow ! Great video, the beaches look amazing ! Can’t wait for the summer!
Hi Eric, thanks for your comments, and glad you enjoyed it.
As ANJ Native and one who used to live in Queens I miss the LI Beach. I take these over any NJ Beach Besides Sandy hook or Ocean City Cape May!!!
Yea, some great beaches here for sure. Thanks for your comments.

Noyack Long Beach
Thanks. Have to check it out.
Long Island has some of the best beaches in the world! What’s your favorite one?
Napeague Beach. As kids we loved it. There was always a sand bar 🌞
@@samanthab1923 Never been there. Where is it?
@@PaulBalzano Just past Atlantic Beach in Amagansett. Heading towards Montauk. Off of Montauk Highway follow Napeague La. to the end. ☀️
@@samanthab1923 Great, thank you. I’ll check it out.
Smith point Outer beach
I looove Jones beach
Jones Beach is an iconic destination year round. When I was younger, I used to sell Italian ices and ice cream on the beach there.
Have been to most of the beaches mentioned but I’m a Rockaway beach girl by birth
Nice. So which is your favorite?
That’s my brothers day beach.
I was in Long Island and the beaches are not even close of being the best in the world!! 🤭
Thanks for your comments. Which LI beach did you visit? Where have you been that's better? Please share.
Which one of these beaches have the clearest water?

@SherryeGlaser I'm lookin for a quiet family beach like you mentioned to take my 4 kids. Can you please recommend a few?.
$35? No thanks. I’m not a millionaire.
Well, you really don't have to be a millionaire to enjoy the beauty of Long Island beaches.
@@PaulBalzano They let you in without paying?!?
@@unsignedmusicno, of course I paid just like everyone else. Worth it to me though.
