Most of that movie was shot at Point Lookout in Nassau County, but all the exteriors were shot right here in downtown, as well as Gossman’s Dock during the opening credits.
I grew up on the island in Syosset. We’d go out to Montauk several times a year! My favorite time is September, October as all the tourists are gone but everything is still open. Happy hour and dinner at The Shagwong is a must! That place is frozen in time!
Yes, September is the best month. It's still warm enough and most places are still open for the season. Shagwong has survived a few scandals in the last few years and it's still going strong!
Most of the crowd is from New York and the surrounding areas. Montauk draws the youngest crowd out of all the areas in the Hamptons. Most people are quite friendly here.
@@PicturesofNewYork I like that you started out east on this :) Nice quality video Ya can still walk some of those parks when you return with a nice edit job so you can fit them all in one Vid. Montauk Point Camp Hero Shadmoor Hither Hills Edward Vincent Ecker Park Amsterdam If this is James your the master of MTK :)
Yes, there are some and a few famous ones as well like Vera Wang. Much of the Hamptons crowd is from New York City. So the demographics is similar to Tribeca, SoHo, West Village etc.
There are many actually. The residents and visitors here are very reflective of NYC. There are also quite a few famous black residents out here as well.
Came to watch this video after movie No hard feelings
That's great, I think they shot some scenes in other parts on Long Island to make it look like Montauk.

I wonder if it's always this windy?
It usually is because it's right next to the ocean. The beach is within a 5 minute walk.

Thank you for watching!
I was so surprised to see a black guy there. That far east on long islands you typically don’t find many of my kind.
