In my official first RUclips comment, I would like to thank Tim, Garrett, and the whole WatchBox team! It was an absolute pleasure and an amazing experience with a great team!!!! Hope to be back soon.
I was admittedly shocked when the Seamaster was revealed on your wrist after the discussion of ALS and FP Jorne. I have the same Seamaster, it was my first “nice watch “ three years ago and still gets a lot of wear. Enjoyed the video!
Thanks for sharing your story and collection with us. If I had the funds I suspect my collection would be similar. And please come back with the VC! Make it happen Mosso…
What an absolutely amazing conversation and collection!! Love to see a collection with variety and a collector that is passionate and knows what he wants!!! And two Tim's never got along better!!! Bravo!
Great video. So many parallels between Tim Mancuso and how most of us enthusiasts got into this hobby and how we feel about watches. It's like he speaks for all of us. My first "high end " watch was also a quartz. A Tag Heuer Aquaracer my wife bought me as a gift after completing residency in 2000. It is still a prized piece in my collection due to sentimental value. Since then, I've learned to appreciate mechanical watch movements and finish. I've learned quite a bit from RUclips. Been following Tim Mosso since his early days at Watchuwant. Have a couple of Rolexes, and would love to add a high horology piece, but at this time I have to be content with admiring them from afar. With a daughter about to start college and a son in high school, soon to need a car, that ship has sailed. Priorities. I agree with the opinion that watches not worn are not worth keeping. The Tag still gets wrist time, all my watches do. I also avoid social media like the plague. Never been interested. RUclips is my go-to for watch related content. Tim Mancuso, hope you continue to enjoy your amazing watch collection in good health for many years to come.
Kids do help to keep your priorities straight, otherwise watches would become your babies. You could start saving slowly for your holy grail on retirement. Cheers.
Really enjoyed this one. Guy has a real passion for it and the knowledge to back it up. He is a natural on camera, keeps it moving and entertaining. The two Tims work well together!
Nice collection and watch talk. I really appreciate Mancuso collector's strategy based on timepieces' value and not necessary on market hype. The way to go!!
"You either love Rolex, or respect it". I think that's very true, and I'm in the latter camp. Owned many and I admire and respect their beauty and build quality, but never loved them like all my other watches. And this Tim Mancuso fella seems very intelligent and successful, well done!
Listening to his excitement over the Moser is great, because like many watches out there, I simply do not understand it. Fascinating how we all view watches differently.
I could listen to you guys talk watches for hours, great conversation! Tim really has some great taste in my opinion and is really passionate about his collection.
Quick comment: Another brand that does a watch without any branding on the dial is Christopher Ward on their Bel Canto! I'm sure there are others, but it's always great to see, because you know you're looking at something with a particularly good dial!
Great watches & great video! 17:15 ish - confident brands without name or logo on dial also include Christopher Ward with the recent Bel Canto & also Ochs und Junior timepieces. All exceptional & rightly confident also!
What I’d like to know is how do you go from the stress of buying your first Rolex and the paying $20 a month to pay it off to having a multitude of high horology watches in 7 years . I mean I’m talking multitude Rolex fpjourne , Vacheron , ASL , Grand Seikos , and so on . Like WTF am I missing something here🤔
Fantastic discussion and display of unique timepieces. Zero pretentiousness, while obviously reserves for watch buying are quite out there vis a vis your average collector. Loved the enthusiasm, willingness to learn. Great segment to watch!
He has no idea about the Car community! Much greater and more passionate than the Watch community. 99.9% of the World population would rather have a Ferrari, Lambo or a Porsche than a RM at the same price.
I'm at the point that I can afford a used Rolex. The problem is, the only ones I could afford are so ordinary that there are hundreds of other options with other brands that are far more interesting. For example, for a quarter of what I would pay for a used 36mm Datejust, I got a new 38mm Ball Engineer with the same Gauss rating as a Milgauss, enough water resistance to dive with, tritium lume and certified chronometer. It even has a specialized steel. Plus the company and the watch have history. Best of all, I can and do actually wear and enjoy that watch as much or more than any other I have ever owned. To imagine trading that and three other watches of the same quality just to have a pitiful example of a Rolex is a betrayal of my love of watches. Now, that said, if I had another $30k to spend on a single watch? I'd probably get the most pitiful example of a Lange und Sohne or a great example of a BlancPain 50 fathoms. As a relatively new watch collector, I'm trying to understand. Are watches a thing of beauty you want to wear, or are they simply something you put in a vault and take out to go to political fundraisers where everyone else is also wearing one?
Once you start on this hobby, you tend to always move forward by learning from past mistakes. Rolex, in my view, is a family heirloom piece, you just get to enjoy it first. Go for whichever watch you love most.
@@fullymechanical9055 The Rolex that I could afford and still send my kids to college would sadly not be. On the other hand, the Omega or Breitling or even Tudor just might be.
Thing to do in watch collecting is buy for yourself and enjoy what you buy. For one there are probably much better investments than watches and two if you have to impress people, do it with your character, not your watch. And Tim the guy doing the interview, who has reviewed like 7000 watches, is a big fan of Ball watches in fact its far more likely you'll see him wearing a Ball than a Rolex anytime soon. Just have fun and don't worry about making mistakes.
For me, the grail watch is the next watch you want to get that is slightly beyond reach. After I get that one, I go for the next grail watch. So unlike Tim here, oh, Tim Mancuso, I like using the word Grail watch.
Black diamonds = shitter. I rest my case. The meteor slice is a 10, but the diamonds and bracelet wreck it. Alot of money wasted on shitters by this bookyak.
with that watch, the only thing this guy is missing from collection is a pair lime green sunglases to wear on top of his head backwards, and a button up shirt from JC Penney boys dept, size small.

“Breitling, take notes.” Oof 😂😂😂😂

This guy just freaking gets it. Hes not pretentious, doesnt care about clout or "investment" watches.
Listening to his excitement over the Moser is great, because like many watches out there, I simply do not understand it. Fascinating how we all view watches differently.
Tim and Tim 👏👏👏👏👏👏 That was really enjoyable to watch. Thank you for sharing your journey.
That Moser turb is amazing, red dial is stunning. Great collection, I like this jawn, keep them coming, awesome interview Tim & Co..
Tim is the grand master of haute horology with deep knowledge of watch brands.
I could listen to you guys talk watches for hours, great conversation! Tim really has some great taste in my opinion and is really passionate about his collection.
Another Moser fan here whose first piece was a Burberry Chrono Quartz! 😂😂😂
Excellent collection!
What a great video and also a great guy. I definitely appreciate his passion and dedication.
Great interview Tims
He sounds like Erlich Bachman :) ...one of the better collector videos by watchbox.

Nice to see italian-americans making great content 🇺🇸🇮🇹
Nobody gives a flying fk
With Moser, not putting their name on the dial IS putting their name on the watch
16623 was MY first nice watch too! And very similar story on how I (we, lol) got it. Super cool 😊
Great watches & great video! 17:15 ish - confident brands without name or logo on dial also include Christopher Ward with the recent Bel Canto & also Ochs und Junior timepieces. All exceptional & rightly confident also!
Serica comes to mind and Marathon offers optional sterile dials too, it says a lot about the brand
Exception video, collection, journey and pair of gents. Thanks guys
This was absolutely spectacular! I truly think this is the true unappreciated Watch-RUclips-Channel!
What a progression from quartz chrono to multiple high horology pieces. “I had other Journes” !!
How much would it be, at least, to do a bespoke piece with Vacheron?

what a classy guy!
Who is this guy?
Wowzers
Tim what are you wearing on your wrist yourself? Looks so unique
Amazing collection!
Any JLC favorites?
WOW
Cracking collection
Cool guy, great collection, fantastic video ❤
I've seen some Invicta and Sturhling Original do Tourbillons with Meteorite
I just want to know what is their job that able to afford all of these watches
What does this guy do for a living?!

Ball makes great watches, no shame there.

Using the term shitter in a serious connotation automatically qualify someone as a douche.
Sorry Tim, but you lost me at Hublot🤮
Tim needs to start wearing adult shirts with proper tall collar. That shirt looks like it is from boy's department at T.J. Max.
