  • Freezing eggs sounds like it should be pretty simple. But get it wrong and you end up with a rubbery egg that is not particularly appetising.
In this video learn how to freeze eggs so that you have perfect eggs every time. Freeze egg whites, freeze egg yolks or both!

If you are following our Facebook page, you will see I have recently found an alternative to the icecube trays in the video. Kmart currently has icecube trays that are larger (fitting a whole egg) and are flexible to help pop them out.

Hey!!! Is this ever neat! We don't have chickens yet - but we are excited to get them one day. I have wondered about what you would do with an overabundance of eggs... Nice job- love your channel!!

I may try making the scrambled egg ice cubes and then vacuum-seal the cubes so they will keep longer in the freezer. I do that with extra cream, milk, and even lemon juice. Keeping the cubes in a zip bag ends up with a short freezer life as they do get frosty but in vacuum sealed bags they keep for months.

As we only preserve them to last for the Winter gap in our chickens laying, they aren't for long term storage. We need to be able to get in and out of the bag to use them.
But if people need them for longer-term storage, this is a great idea to avoid potential freezer burn 👌

Thanks. I've been wanting to do this for ages. Don't have cookies yet, but will do it with store bought and gifted backyard chooky eggs.

    What a awesome video!!!
    We are starting this today😀
Question: just doing the math……would you use 2 cubes of frozen egg per egg required?
Thanks for sharing your awesome tip. 🌺

With these icecube trays I was...but... I have very recently started using some new flexible silicon trays from Kmart. And these are awesome, as they fit one whole egg in each cube. Plus they pop out much easier.
If you want to take a closer look I shared some info and pics on them this morning on my Facebook.
Happy egg preserving Deb and Dan 😀
