Machine was an American funk disco group, formed by Jay Stovall in 1977. The band started in New York City with the intent to create the disco equivalent of R&B message songs.

A favorite at the Loft in NYC when it was released way back in 1980. Very rare track that was not popular or on commercial radio at the time or ever.
Thanks to David Mancuso who had a very unique and discerning ear and made this a cult classic! I miss you David!

This song just popped into my head about a week ago. I couldn't remember who it was by so I had to tear my 12 inch record collection apart until I found it because every time I punched song in without the group's name into the You Tube search bar, I would always get something else. Finally found it on July 6, 2020. There was a mystery afoot but now it is solved!
