    So, for the cheap entry level we have the ~$100 Retroid Pocket 2+, and for high-end powerhouse we have the $250-$300 AYN Odin (regular, pro, lite) handhelds... These two companies are leaving almost ZERO room for competitors, and I'm loving every bit of it.

    Feels like this has set a new standard. We're finally coming to a period where it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to play Gamecube & PS2. How others compete with that over the next year or 2 is likely to be the thing that makes me buy a retro handheld. Would never be a collector - seems wasteful to me - but now seems a good time to jump in.

I dont like how the rest of the hand held consoles looked or how much they cost. I hope i will like this and thank you for the review 👍👍.
    Edit: so I've ordered one on the first and I've found out there was an extra charge that was taken out, that was over seas charge. That it wasn't on the website. And indigogo was selling outrageous, mine was 357.00 (and yes i got the brick). Not including the shipping, witch was 76.00 and that brought the price to 416.00 plus the hidden fees, of 12.00 witch all together was 428.00. Mine is 8g rom 256 memory. The price tag on Indigogo is stupid, ya you get the extras but if you think about it the cheapest one on indigogo is the 128 gb, and not the 256. So use your brain power and think is it worth the price tag to shop on indigogo?

    Absolutely LOVING mine so far.
    I'm not above tinkering on a game by game basis for ps2 and others.
    But what I found Im loving more about it is using it for PsP and other retro handheld emulators. But PsP so far has been the biggest piece for my libraries.
    I missed having the old games I just dont have anymore. not since like 2010. and now it feels like I have a far better PsP. plus other consoles. If you tinker some ps2 games it can absolutely handle a lot of them, just not all. Embrace it for what IT CAN do.

    I'm hoping that with the success of this, we finally get some more high-end systems for a budget price... 2020 and 2021 were filled with those damn rockchip processors, and companies were charging way too much for so little performance (looking at you, anbernic). Maybe by the end of 2022 we get a Snapdragon 888 or a Gen 1 device?

    • @shlokshah5379
      @shlokshah5379 2 года назад +2

      888 makes no sence as gen 1 will crush it in performance but this is about emulation which 845 handles well and can play all games (with some windows 11) and untill swich emulation is above 40 fps there is no need to change the chip here
