If Carbon didn’t get all the cut content it did it would’ve been better than Mostwanted. In the demo the map looked larger than the final release. More crews , properly more cop involving, longer story, there was more scenes with nikki that got cut. I don’t want a remaster of UG or MW, I want a fully complete version of Carbon but knowing EA these old games are never gonna get re released
Man, this is already some really intriguing stuff! I've always really been interested in the type of assets that devs use in early development, They have such a mystical aura to them. Can't wait for part 2!

If there exists a tool to extract files from those nis map files, and we could also extract the collision model of the map, we can at least get a vague idea on how that map is supposed to look like. But in it’s current state, it’s still amazing to see!
@@379Felipe maybe panorama city (not the one near san juan) could be bayview, in one of the ug2 concept arts there was a cut desert district and ug2 scenery is basically desert just like palmont and its possible that one of the canyons connect to it via Jackson heights or the cut district (just what i think, maybe its not or maybe it is)

I mean if you count it, Gold Valley Run in Carbon shares its layout with a section of Jackson Heights from UG2, but I guess that's not as literal as Bayview Speedway being presented exactly as it was in UG2.
Wow, with the last map i got blasted with nostalgia, i still remember those days of me playing NFSUG2 and NFSMW without any responsibilities and enjoying those times fully, now im grown up and full of responsibilities...
@@DevinMillarDM Ah, ok. I thought it was like the GTA tools which work for all versions. Like, PC, consoles and phones, bc they all have the same GTA3.img which stores the 3D models. (But slight different texture format changes between versions.)
Not asian, but likely any regional content. Carbon europe release has tons of cut events, UG1 korea has some weird stream file, Most Wanted chinese has the demo events along the ones in the final game, etc....
i assume they had a different list of files not to include in the final release for each region and just forgot to keep it synced may be wrong since i am not a developer
my only isssue is with the sound it dies in a matter of seconds while in game. I tried to use some patches provided in the github but it didn't work neither for me or nlg
@@379Felipe yeah none of the patches work for me either, so I just delete the sound folder to buy myself some extra time before it inevitably crashes anyways
@@379Felipe we do actually have L2RA_Sunset that has some superficial differences Also there is some map in the korean UG2 called L2RA, but it's much smaller and inside it contains paths to the L1RA for some reason Would be cool to have a video on those as well. I don't think anyone showed off what's inside of them yet
@@r033cx I've seen the sunset, but does it have any differences? Also for whatever reason the A124 is ~100mb bigger than the retail, would be nice to know what it changed. The UG1 L2RA is a tricky one, from what i was told it has L1RA but without textures, tho i never launched it
@@379Felipe I never saw this map visually so I can't say for sure, but to me it seems to be Rockport with slight lighting alteration. Some models have "Sunset" in their names, so I'm guessing it has some adjustments to geometry to account for different lighting
