Anti-Aging Workout // Strength & Balance Compound Combination Exercises!

- Welcome to this full body strength routine that focuses on building muscle mass, brain health as well as balance! This workout is geared towards a more advanced beginner and senior.
Make the workout your own by using weights that are appropriate for you and going at your own pace. All exercises are set to a 45 second timer with a 15 second rest period.
The first 30 minutes of the workout is performed in a standing position, the last 20 minutes includes exercises on the floor such as abs, chest and triceps and stretching.
If you are not comfortable getting on the floor or want a shorter workout, just do the first section, you will still get a great workout!
I'm using a set of 10 pound (4.5 Kg) from Alta Fitness. They are so soft on your hands, prevent calluses from forming and are antibacterial! They are by far the nicest and most luxurious weights I have ever used.

Thank you Lauren!!! Really enjoyed this workout and challenge. I use a 10-lb weight for the exercises calling for one weight; I use a set of 8-lb weights for exercises using 2 weights. Sometimes I'll drop to a set of 6-lb weights for the standing exercises requiring arm extensions straight out front or to the sides as I can't seem to do quite do it...yet, lol. Not bad for a 73-year old! Been following you for several years now. Love your workouts and do various ones at least 3-times per week. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to be active, regularly, and keep moving. I, myself, wasn't always like this but then upped my game ~15 years ago, hitting the gym then eventually started hiking which really ignited my endorphins. Then got into more serious hiking, haha. The rest is history. Find a physical activity you love, even walking, and DO it! Your body and mind will thank you.

First try with 5 pounds. Great workout. Looking forward to trying the strength videos when i get some new weights. Followed it with the Somatic Stretch since I was already on the mat. Great for mind and body. 😊❤💪

This was an awesome workout! I am a 74 year old female and loved working out with the heavier weights. The variety of moves make this fun to do. I used 8 lb weights except for the arm extensions where I used 5lb weights. I also liked this longer routine a lot. I am sitting here feeling every fiber in my body and feel great! I admit…the thought of a 49 minute strength workout had me nervous! I’ve tried other strength programs (even for middle age) where they push so hard I either hate it or hurt. This pace, your calm voice, and even the exercises, made these 49 minutes fly by! Wondering if you might ever entertain doing rebounder workouts? I have found I can bounce for cardio without it causing joint pain. Love your channel, Lauren!

This was an excellent workout. I am 76 and used 8lbs standing and 10 lbs on the floor. I will be sore tomorrow 😂. It was hard, but doable, and will get better as I do it more often and learn the moves. Thank you for your outstanding programs. You are the best.❤

Went into my Favorites! Love the creative moves! And this workout has inspired me to order 8 lb. weights. I used 5 lb. weights for the entire workout and, I agree with another commenter that 5 lb. weights are the max for some of the full arm extensions. But I could have gone up on most of the moves. I am 68 years old and continue to love the variety of your workouts.

Oh my gosh! I don't know if this was because of my request or not, but either way it doesn't matter. This was fantastic and I love you for making me feel so good every day. I'm a bit of a youngster here (in my 50's), but, from what I've read in the comments, I'm going to have to work hard to catch up! This is great! Definitely one for the Favourites. Challenging but in a good way - 95% with 4 kgs, the remaining with 3 (first time I've done a workout using the 4's). Great mix of creative moves as always. Thank you Lauren ❤

I LOVE this workout! It's my favorite so far. I love the combination of working the whole body with weights upright, then working on the mat with weights. Excellent full-body workout! I prefer the longer workout session and with weights.

Brilliant! I have been saving this video for my day off since it is longer than the 30 minutes I usually spend working out before work. This is WORTH WAKING UP EARLY TO DO! I have been doing a lot of the beginner ones for about 2 months and was surprise how doable/but challenging this was for me. This will become a regular one for me - 56 and determined to reverse osteoporosis! Stronger is happening - thank you for this!

This was amazing! I enjoyed this challenge of using the heavier weights. I need to get some 10 lb ones, but I did it with 8 and at times even that was a challenge. I really liked that this was longer and full body! I would definitely love more routines like this one! Thank you so much Lauren for all you do for us! 🥰

I was going to do this work out yesterday however I was very sore and tired from working in the yard for a few hours so I decided to wait. So glad I waited.
