Considering she was looking at her phone that would be how I would translate it, but on second thought you could write it like that either way. I guess we'd have to ask her to know for sure.

Ну, в таких приложухах реально сидят не слишком интеллектуально развитые личности, при всём уважении. Кальян, мат... всё как бы намекает на культурный уровень.
Другое дело, что у русских реально большие проблемы со знанием иностранных языков. Уж на каком-то совсем базовом уровне научиться общаться - это же буквально дело пары месяцев, если не недель.
При чём больше всего удручает, что именно молодые очень слабы в языках.

@@andregarcia9448 через 10-20 лет у всех будут портативные устройства, способные идеально распознавать голос и идеально переводить налету с помощью нейросетей с любого языка. Уже сейчас качество автоматизированного перевода очень хорошее. А будет просто как в фантастических фильмах. Необходимость изучения языков останется только из научного интереса.
