I think the funniest thing about saw 6 in particular is how Hoffman singlehandedly manged to Kidnap an entire office worth of employees. The carousel trap has 6 people in it and they are all in work clothes meaning he somehow caught them all right after work. How tf did one guy kidnap like 10 people all the while avoiding the FBI is beyond me, still love saw 6 tho.

He didn't do it all by himself, He is already a cult leader by that timeframe. Almost every previous side victim that survives his trap are become his crew.

I've always held a dumb Saw idea where one of the Victims in the Saw traps *is* Jigsaw. The twist being John transfered his brain into a new body, revealed by brain surgery scars, and had to test if he was still truly John Kraemer.

If they really don't want to break the canon that the character is dead, they should do a meta narrative movie like that time Freddy Krueger came into the real world. In terms of "the movies making no sense and they should just do the twin brother thing" I actually really like the implied omniscience of John's character aspect of the films. Like I think it adds something to the mythos of his character and to the enjoyment and horror of the films when you do view him as basically all seeing. It's kind of like the "because he's Batman" element of the franchise lmao.

Kind of like the Norns in God of War: Ragnarok. To their own admission, they could never really see into the future. They just saw the Gods as so wearingly predictable, that they can accurately predict what they'll do next, long before they actually do it. No destiny or prophecy or anything- they just have that deep of an understanding of people.

Rewatching the entire series with my girlfriend and we are genuinely having the best time. Saw 6 is ridiculously good in its league of being a fucking Saw movie. She had seen none of them, and after finishing the initial 7 films, she said that 6 was undoubtedly the best. I mean that guys acting in the merry-go-round trap gives me chills. Tragic that it is ignored for it being the 6th installment in a mocked series.
The whole 'trailer for the trailer' thing is probably cause it's made to be played as an ad before a youtube video, and yt videos often let you skip ads after 5 seconds. Therefore they have to get their point across within the first 5 seconds
I'm glad Tobin Bell has a chance to be Jigsaw at least one more time after the disaster that was Spiral. He's getting on in life and this may well be his final role.

I’m so excited for Saw X. we finally get a movie where John Kramer is running the group trap and present throughout, with victims who FUCKING DESERVE IT. and obviously, Amanda being back is amazing.
The best thing about this is that this is very clearly a for the fans affair and while it's still clearly going for something new, it's still giving the fans exactly what they want. The over the top gore, the washed out colour hues, the claustrophobic cinematography, etc. I'm excited for this.

Yo I had no clue this was Gruetert directing again- that’s huge! The only saw films I go back to are the first 3 and 6. Having Greutert’s voice here makes me so happy cause Spiral solidified how little Bousman really made the series- so much of it is the editors voice and concepts- he GETS it!! Fully! I seriously can’t wait to see a Good Saw sequel in theaters- I was so thankful I didn’t see Spiral so this can be my first in theater.

The reason they stopped making Saw films was because the Paranormal Activity movies started coming out up against them each Halloween, starting at Saw 4. And since those were new, people went into them for something fresh. And, because Saw needed money for effects while Paranormal Activity needed $15 to make, studios saw the shrinking returns and pulled the plug. Tobin Bell wanted to keep making them.
I, for one, believe these movies shouldn’t be limited by something as trivial as death: Tobin Bell is the one actor I will allow to become a CGI monstrosity so long as we get more Saw movies.

As much as I enjoy Spiral, if the low box office numbers did convince the staff to revert back to what works for the series… then maybe it was a good thing that Spiral happened. As for Saw X… it has major Saw VI vibes. The trap theme, the type of victims, the real-world messages, and the level of brutality, possibly more brutal than even Saw 7. Yes, that voice you heard was Hoffman. That is clearly Costas Mandylor. P.S. Yes, during Saw X, John Kramer has already recruited Dr. Gordon. the trap sequences felt a bit rushed, Valentina's was the best and most intense, some of the others felt really rushed and badly acted out. Imagine you're forced to do surgery on yourself with no anesthetic and all you let out are little whimpers. I'd be screaming, not skulking
Turns out that John Kramer didn’t actually die in Saw 3. He just hired a lookalike body double to pretend to be him. And this double just so happened to also have cancer, making it even more believable that he was the real John
I don't mind the movies being silly, just creative as much as possible. But I would love a reinterpretation of the license by Bryan Fuller and pretty much all the Hannibal crew. I mean this creative and interesting ( plus I don't know, make three of five seasons if possible with the plot being: Jigsaw already being active but as the season progresses, he's becoming aware everything he is doing doesn't work at all. A series completely psychological and good practical effects as much as possible. It's hard given the people would need to know the show exists and be there to support it, but for me it's writing itself. I wish it was done before Tobin Bell can no longer do the role )

I completely agree with Adam. I love and simultaneously hate the saw movies and I think this mix of emotions really makes me coming back to them with each movie. I just can't get enough of them eventhough we all know that the only movie that was legit good was the first one. As much as I enjoy Spiral, if the low box office numbers did convince the staff to revert back to what works for the series… then maybe it was a good thing that Spiral happened.
As for Saw X… it has major Saw VI vibes. The trap theme, the type of victims, the real-world messages, and the level of brutality, possibly more brutal than even Saw 7.

P.S. Yes, during Saw X, John Kramer has already recruited Dr. Gordon. The “randy” you are referring to is named Logan, and he was recruited before any of the others. So in Saw X, John has FOUR apprentices.
@@edgardoMurnia I should have been more specific. I enjoy Spiral as a film on its own. But I rank it very low among the other Saw films because it just isn’t a good Saw film. So yeah, I mostly agree with you.

Originally I was more excited about The Exorcist: Believer, but then I saw both trailers and now my excitement is the complete opposite. Tobin Bell is always great and I’m glad he’s getting more work. I’m looking forward to seeing this in theaters.

at first this didn't stand out to me after Jigsaw and Spiral dropped to recently to so little fanfare, but it's been 13 years since the last main entry? really hope this thing is a return to form

That finger snap legit made my fingers feel weird, this looks so gruesome and I hope this is a true return to form for Saw from the weird tone that Spiral and Jigsaw was.
the trap sequences felt a bit rushed, Valentina's was the best and most intense, some of the others felt really rushed and badly acted out. Imagine you're forced to do surgery on yourself with no anesthetic and all you let out are little whimpers. I'd be screaming, not skulking

Turns out that John Kramer didn’t actually die in Saw 3. He just hired a lookalike body double to pretend to be him. And this double just so happened to also have cancer, making it even more believable that he was the real John

I don't mind the movies being silly, just creative as much as possible. But I would love a reinterpretation of the license by Bryan Fuller and pretty much all the Hannibal crew. I mean this creative and interesting ( plus I don't know, make three of five seasons if possible with the plot being: Jigsaw already being active but as the season progresses, he's becoming aware everything he is doing doesn't work at all. A series completely psychological and good practical effects as much as possible. It's hard given the people would need to know the show exists and be there to support it, but for me it's writing itself. I wish it was done before Tobin Bell can no longer do the role )
We could easily be at like Saw 20 by now if they had either not killed Jigsaw off or had committed to being stupid and brought him back 10 years ago

As it was stated in this video. I don’t care what the quality of the film is going to be. It has Tobin Bell being Jigsaw and just doing his thing, that’s all that is important.
I'm so excited for this film, loved growing through my teenage years enjoying the franchise, anticipating the twists and excitement of the traps. Jigsaw was awful, Spiral wasn't great... But... This looks so much fun!

I completely agree with Adam. I love and simultaneously hate the saw movies and I think this mix of emotions really makes me coming back to them with each movie. I just can't get enough of them eventhough we all know that the only movie that was legit good was the first one. It just really went rapidly went down hill after that.But I still am always open to a new film since the concept is so timeless and flexible
