For the project, I'm favoring the Beatles' "Yellow Submarine". Also, you can power your frogs and eliminate the problem.

I’m sure that you’ve got a spare Santa Fe Warbonnet locomotive shell sitting in your junk box. Cut a section out of the middle of the body and make a Shorty loco. Put couplers and dcc it and make a cool little switcher with it.

A bobber caboose or a speeder would be neat. The channel is great. Keep up the good work.

I think you should make what's called a "Shop Critter" which is basically just like a custom little switcher made in locomotive shops to move things around, some are the trucks that are from 4 axle locomotives with some battery boxes and RC equipment on it, but others are like whole little locomotives with a cab, engine bay and everything. If I were able to link a photo or two on here I would, but I'd make one that has the cab and such so you'd have more room to fit a decoder and speaker. The fun part about them is you can make it look like whatever you want because they were made in house to the design pattern of "yes"
For that I would use the long flat tiny one just for the long wheelbase, it would be best suited for a small industry that is big enough for their own locomotive, or a shop critter. Nobody ever models a shop critter thing, or if they do they look at the one photo of the Conrail one, and the one photo of the Chesapeake and Ohio one and make that, but again, you can make it how you want. Like just take some paper and design up something that you think looks cool, and replicate it in tinker cad or something and 3D print it.
Little uncommon things like that make layouts more interesting, like yeah you can have the big 6 axle road diesels like everyone else, or steam from a specific railroad or era, but a little silly guy that runs around with a freight car or two is just so wondeful.
Also on the extra pickup things, I think it was Hornby made a little plymouth shunter thing and had a small 2 axle flatbed coupled to it for pickups, you could easily make a HO flatbed roughly the same size, and make a load to stick on it that looks like spare parts for freight cars or locomotives, which would look really cool but also weigh it down a touch more to keep good contact to the rails, and the wires could be a simple 2 wire harness thing with a clip on each end so you could have the flatbed for extra pickups, or disconnect it easily for servicing or if it doesn't fit in with what you want to do with it. You could also make a "bobber caboose" which just has two axles, and use the same wire harness, so it can run around with a flatbed or caboose.
Sorry for the word vomit, I usually space things out to make it easier to read, but I'm pressed for time rn and need to get this out quick lol. Just whatever you do, remember, *it's your railroad, do what you want.*

That two axle motorised chassis is made by BEC in the UK. If you turn it over, you should see stamped on the bottom BEC. These are very good motorised chassis' mainly made for trams/streetcars.

I can't remember what railway it was, but there was a mountain railway that ran converted box trucks to carry loads of goods that were too small to justify a full train. I think they even had a bus.

That second "thing" with the vertical motor that couldn't get out of its own way could do with a half-ounce wheel weight or two and you may have a proper runner.
As for "Tiny"....Google the Deathmobile from Animal House! LoL

I had an old tender motor to a damaged stream Loco and a box cab Loco shell. Made a neat switcher engine. You can see it in my avatar picture. 😊 I would like you to make into a maintenance way vehicle, with an old truck cab and box. Have some guys shoveling ballast out the back.❤

Echoing what another has said- the mystery challenge chassis is a BEC kit, intended for powering their tram models.
Regarding the chassis that was spinning its wheels, the tiny wheels and trucks would have me reasonably confident it's from a model streetcar or tram of some sort. It probably relies on the weight of the body to make traction.
the motor that was completely dead is a Mantua/Tyco "MU-2" motor, from a double truck diesel of some sort. It only has pickups on one side, so it won't run without a wire running to another truck with contacts on the opposite side. The motor that you showed after it is a Tyco "powertorque" motor which came later. The ones with pickups on both sides were used to power Tyco's single truck trolleys and diesel switchers.

That’s probably originally for a Trolley or a small Diesel switcher. I’d want to make that into either a maintenance vehicle, or a whimsical speeder, and Considering it’s low profile, one with interior cab details. 😁👍🏼

That little lilliput motorised truck you tested first, ive got one under the bachmann name and it should have a metal weight in disguise as a heap of ballast but looks like yours runs fine without it, for the tiny chassis i imagine you could kitbash a shunter body onto it or make a railbus from an old carriage body in the scrap bin

Oh Dear; what are we going to do with you? Bouncing things along on their flanges!
'It' is probably from the rubbish bin of the Migraine Headache Ward at the nearest public hospital. You need a prototype; something like the Sentinel diesels; Find drawing of 0-4-0 and 0-6-0 in one of the Railway Modellers circa 1970s. Some thoughts 1/Time you put in is lost after the wearing down of the first set of brushes. That looks like a pretty common motor. Scour Ebay for others so when the time comes you can substitute and not lose the model. 2/ The model runs just OK because all wheels pick up current, but even then turnouts are a problem. With the wheel standards mess-up seen around here turnouts are likely to be an even bigger problem. 3/ Used as a free-standing 0-4-0 you might need to ensure there is enough slop in at least one axle; a kind of compensation to keep pickup wheels down. Think of the old Nellie; needed flexibility. Snooze would be worth fielding for ideas. 4/ Used as a power truck for one of the two bogie electrics or something would introduce the problems of powering only one truck. Have a look at the traction problems of the old Triang red and silver diesel. Adding weight did not help..... wheel slip. Adding traction tyres causes pickup problems because you lose wheels to insulated tyres. On a Bo-Bo you need a minimum of three wheels down each side. 4/Have your Golden Retriever near-by for company and have a plentiful supply of Peppermints. Models like this don't thrive on two rail track due to the lack of pickups. The old HD Bo-Bo was brilliant in three rail; plenty of wheels to ground and a reliable skate shoe for the other electrode.
'They' say plenty of good half built kits can be found on the table at shows. Be careful, but that might furnish something you can be proud of for more effort and little money. Often the epoxied up mess can be reduced back to parts with paint stripper carefully used. Just an idea; frustration is never fun.
    Apologies to 'Steve'.
    Cheers.

Or if it can work some kind of a scale truck body make it a track maintenance inspection truck.. or just thought of this somehow make your own body and call it your railroad spike puncher or remover when they put in and lay down new track
