Being a child of the 90's I was lucky enough to have one of these. I have to say it was amazing. On a full charge they are an absolute blast and you can make it do flips on a flat surface just by going flat out forward and then jabbing it in to reverse as hard as you can. If you did this at the top of a step, it crated an awesome flip. On a full charge, driven like a 10 year old would, I think i only got 20 to 30 minutes max, but i can't be 100% certain. Thanks for bringing back many great memories Seth.
We had a few as a kid, 20 minutes about for battery but when Seth said they are hard to break or indestructible, I laughed. We definitely all broke our plastic bodies going off ramps and landing on hard stuff. Was a blast.
@@Justnothankyou132 Yeah, I actually manage to break a gear inside by running into curb at a weird angle. Far from indestructible. Yea, the battery also stung me a bit too. 😂 but We gotta understand he is not educated in these things and he did well enough. At least for someone learning still! Haha
Just the sound brings back memories. I also remember the charger. You'd slide the battery in from the bottom. Also had all the sick decals. It would last only for 20 minutes, and the battery would be hot :D. Such awesome toys!
This is his off topic channel Berm Peak Express were he do stuff like this and other things not "suitable" for his main channel, Seth Bike Hacks. So don't worry yo.
One of my clients had something similar to this, but with three wheels. It was like a nightmare remote controlled tricycle that she would send careening down the hallway. Thank god the engine died one day. These are too fun!
This video was great! I was 9 years old when my 21 year old brother bought me one of these. I remember we got it at “Toys R Us” for $100 and the charge time was 4 hours for about 15-20 minutes of play time when new. After a a couple weeks of playing, a 4 hour charge would last for about 4-6 minutes of play time.
I had that thing as a kid and i used and abused it! so awesome to see one again. I remember just waiting by the charger waiting for it to charge up. I forgot how indestructible the thing was!
Mann you need to get a hobby grade rc car. I’d honestly recommend buying used cause new are more expensive. Also get a well known brand such as traxxas ect. Also get a lipo
I like the video and happy you got to relive the quality and excitement that was Tyco Rc vehicles. As a current and original owner of the fast traxx and having recently purchased the rebound for my son I now want to upgrade the battery. The only compatible battery cassette pack wise was a 6 volt nicd battery which I didnt even think they made nicd anymore but purchased anyway. Looks like you are using a lithium battery pack and understand some soldering to the current rc terminals will be required. You stated the pack is around 6 volts so hopefully you can let me know what type of battery you used so my son can hoon the crap out of his Rebound. Tires are very forgiving and had him jump about 6 concrete stairs multiple times for his first test drive and smiling that I got to share some of the great rc cars of a time gone and past. Great video and thanks for sharing!

Yooooo
@Lighting thanks
This thing was my childhood. Now I'm here as an adult shopping for an RC Car for my nephew, found this old gem and considering buying one, the old technology (battery Packs) is what's holding me back.
I'm 34 and still have mine. No battery or remote. Need to get it running, been lagging it. Thanks for making me want to get it running asap!
Next video: I am officially quitting mountain biking and being a professional rc car driver
👍
Yea i kinda wanna see more of mtb
@@Scaditzavibe Agree
RollCage, but real life and remote-controlled, and does not go upside down on the ceiling
@@cheetocatto01 Actually there is a Redux version of the original Rollcage now
Hey Seth I'm your biggest fan... Me and my friends build a track because U inspire me to ride everyday and build trails everyday.
This brings back memories! I used to have one of these things! I used to take it off the biggest drops and I could never get it to break! It was alot of fun!
Back in the 90s I had a Ricochet, basically the same thing. I remember the battery life being terrible, like 15 minutes, but man it was a blast.
Me, a teenager watching a full grown man that I've been watching for over 4 years play with an RC car.
Seth 5/6 years ago: *Created RUclips channel for mountain bikers*
Seth now : *Creates RC Videos*
Viewers : “yUp ThIs Is MoUtAiN bIkEs”
imagine this channel just suddenly become an rc channel until covid-19 ends
Daniel Penaflor-MTB I’m ok with that. 😆
That seems to be the way its going. Yay... =\
I searched this video because someone asked me the gift I always wanted as a kid but never got. THIS IS IT! I saw all the ads dreaming of having one.... maybe it isn't too late..... :D
being a mountbiker and from time to time play with all kinds of RC Toys (cars and fpv racecopters) I feel like i found a soulmate in seth 😂
Seth I wish they still made stuff like this.
Me- Minecraft boats
Wait, Americans say “hooning” now?
I believe you can thank hoonigan for that
Yeah, only for the last decade though.
no we don't please no
No
wait americans dont know what hooning is?
me: electronics enthusiast
Seth: let me swap the PCB
me: visibly hurt
Yea, the battery also stung me a bit too. 😂 but We gotta understand he is not educated in these things and he did well enough. At least for someone learning still! Haha
same :) at least his soldering iron tip is clean.
Just the sound brings back memories. I also remember the charger. You'd slide the battery in from the bottom. Also had all the sick decals. It would last only for 20 minutes, and the battery would be hot :D. Such awesome toys!
TOTALLY REMEMBER that ad and never got the chance to own one either.
WOW that's a blast from the past 👾
Much appreciated entertainment 👌
Does anyone else get jelly that Seth makes a living doing what he does while I for example mAke a living going to a bank everyday
Seth’s bikes hacks has turned into a toy car repair channel, not criticising but it feels a little weird watching him do this
This is his off topic channel Berm Peak Express were he do stuff like this and other things not "suitable" for his main channel, Seth Bike Hacks. So don't worry yo.
One of my clients had something similar to this, but with three wheels. It was like a nightmare remote controlled tricycle that she would send careening down the hallway. Thank god the engine died one day. These are too fun!
I had a three wheeled one it was called the dagger
Not 3 wheels but there’s also the tyco rewinder or psycho
When Seth says “I don’t know why its not working.” 😳
New series:"Seth buys stuff on ebay and goes around the track on/in them".
I was blessed enough to have one of these! My childhood was 🔥🔥🔥
I like the video and happy you got to relive the quality and excitement that was Tyco Rc vehicles.
