I was deliberating between the two and after waiting 2 weeks for the silver to come, and although I like the rangefinder styling, I decided to go with the S10 based on feedback that the E4 heats up quite soon. Of course, IBIS on the S10 is nice for handheld footage.
Ill be testing the over heating issue this weekend. Curious on how itll hold up! IBIS is definitely nice but i can get around it if need be. Overall just need to use it a bit more before i finally decide haha. I really do love the form factor of the xe4 though.

Great video. I agree with a lot of your comments when comparing it to the XS 10. Given the XE 4 lacks IBIS, I don’t get why Fuji wouldn’t offer the 18-55 as a kit option. That would make a nice video setup.
glad you enjoyed the video. I think they didnt because they wanted to keep the form factor small and market their new pancake lens. Which seems to be working pretty since a lot of those bundles are sold out. Stay tuned for next week's video, im going to run it through its paces with video and see how it holds up!
There are adapters you can insert in the hot shoe mount to move the shoe mount to the side of the camera so you can add your mic on the side and have the flip-up screen unobstructed. You need to choose if you rather have a thumb grip adapter, a side shoe mount adapter, or an evf eyecup adapter.
yea you can also use the tripod mount to move the mic over as well. I have something like that ill be using for next weeks vlogging video with it!
@@AceNoguera smallrig is coming out with an L-bracket with a cold shoe on the side. I’ve got one on order.

I love the xs10 and looking if xe4 can replace xt3, for form factor reasons
i dont blame you, this camera is amazing with its form factor. I will be releasing a couple of more videos on how it holds up video wise in a vlogging set up, so stay tuned for that!

Hey Shane, great question. i dont have an issue with it. I would note that it is quite a small EVF though but since the eye cup isnt large it doesnt interfere with the glasses!

I’ve been interested in all three cameras, given you have the xs10, xe4 and xt4 despite the ibis and 8 bit how different is the quality and the autofocus from each body if there is that significant of a difference..? Thanks for the vid!
The quality from what i can tell is the same, XE4 allows you to select how many mbs just like on the xs10 and xt4, obviously its just in 8 bit though. I havent tested the AF just yet but i bet you its the same. Ill be taking it out this weekend for a vlog to see how it holds up. Stay tuned for that video!
I think the difference is negligible, the X-S10 and X-E4 having the latest slightly improved autofocus algorithm, but sooner or later the X-T4 should be getting a firmware update for its AF, or they'll be pissing way too many X-T4 owners. The thing with Fuji is how long they take to launch firmware updates once a camera is out of their pipeline, because right now their focus is definitely the X-S10 and more yet the X-E4. And on the back-end, they are working on the 2022 X-H2 and perhaps an X-T5. So only time can tell when the X-T4 will receive meaningful updates.

@@AceNoguera Make sure you have a lens with OIS or you'll end up getting some jerky-looking footage. And keep digital stabilization off.
@@williamaungleyraud yea thats my only concern with fully shifting to the XE4 over the xs10. But in reality i also dont record much while walking for example so not having IBIS may not affect my videos as much as i think. Either way will definitely give it a try and see the result haha
@@AceNoguera yeah, I'm looking forward to see your results. I'm considering picking up and X-E2/2S as a second body even a X-E3. I don't fully like how Fuji skimped in some pretty important buttons in order to make this camera clean and modern. And the main reason I like Fuji cameras are the manual dials and tactile feel, so I think the X-E4 isn't for me. But I totally agree with you on the shutter button of the X-E4 over the X-S10. 😎👍
@@AceNoguera my main concern with both the X-E4 and the X-S10 is battery life and perhaps overheating. The X-T4 battery performs really well at expense of weight and bulk, but it's what I currently use. However I wonder how many batteries the X-E4 chews through in one full day of vlogging and how much cool off time it takes to run another clip in 4k. I guess I'll find out in your next video 😎👍👍
How do you find the XE4 EVF, especially since the resolution is extremely low...this is my main concern from buying this but I absolutely love the design and simplicity.
Also how bad it is to use the thumb stick with it being so low now.
The EVF is definitely an adjustment, coming from the XT4 haha. I mean if you know that going into it its not that bad though. But between the low res and much smaller in general evf its not very useful. I wouldnt recommend it if you plan to mainly be using the EVF. As far as the joystick goes i felt it was in a reasonably comfortable spot. It is way lower than the older one but you dont really notice in real world use. I have some what small hands though so if you have big hands it may work in your favor as it wont be so close to your face.
2.36 MILLION dots on a tiny screen close to your eye is not "extremely low"!

I'm already using bigger brighter EVF's with higher resolution, magnification and refresh rates, hence why I'm asking if it's usable as I don't particularly like shooting without 1 but being it's literally less then half of what I'm use to in pretty much every aspect I was wondering how manageable it is as I've never used an EVF with such bad specs and coming from the reply from that actual one who made the video he obviously got what I was asking and clearly stated its not very useful.
Oddly enough, the shutter button satisfaction factor is a huge deal maker/breaker, especially if you're looking for a "fun" camera.
i completely agree, it feels like its broken on the XS10 (its not), its just plastic soft and squishy lol. I mainly shoot photos so its the button i use the most and it bugs me so much to have to use it lol

I'm assuming you're filming this video with the X-T4 in perhaps face/eye auto detect/ autofocus turned on. Try using the focus range limiter instead and you should get much smoother autofocus and no focus jumps.
Also, I'd adjust the focus speed and sensitivity settings for these talking head-shots because the focus transition is on the slow side, so it takes time to laser that focus on your intended subject.
Try it out, I believe you can get a more pleasing video experience :)

@@AceNoguera Sure thing 😁👍 I forgot to mention when you use the autofocus limiter function, the face/eye detection cannot be used, but as long as your subject stays in the focus square, you should get flawless autofocus 👍👍

@@AceNoguera Thanks! Hey so I've been really struggling with my decision whether i should get the xe4 or the xt30 and save some bucks. Now I'm mostly looking to shoot videos and the recording limit on xt30 is not an issue for me. Would love to hear your thoughts?
@@siddhantmogaveera Personally i would go with the XE4 for a couple of reasons. One of them being its a newer camera so firmware updates and support going forward will be much longer than on the xt30. Fujifilm is really good at bringing some great new features to their cameras in firmware updates so that would be pretty important to me. Helps future proof the camera much longer.
The other is the screen on the XE4 is higher res which makes a pretty big difference as well. You also get a couple more color profiles which are fun.
