I don't get what's canon and what isn't because the fight between Goku and Pikkon is referenced in the world martial arts tournament when he's talking to Krillin before he finds that Krillin married 18 and Videl mentions to Bulma and Chi Chi in heaven that Gohan was wearing the teddy bear underwear when the Earth gets blown up by Kid Buu so some of these are canon and some are not I guess.

What’s so weird about Garlic Jr? I thought he was actually well written as a villain or at the very least a more serious version of Emperor Pilaf. Also there’s a pretty cool fight scene with Goku and Garlic Jr’s henchmen that’s still worth watching. I’m actually surprised it’s not even mentioned in this video.
