Thank you. I was going to comment something like this. Truck manufacturers for the most part are out of touch with what a truck is and does. And for 80k this is not it.
The entire design is disappointing. It's a Chevy. It looks hideous. The interior looks like something that belongs in a vehicle worth about $15k. Garbage.

I agree, so stupid. My tundra platinum has 20” standard and I think those are already way too big. Pretty much the biggest wheel size you can go and still get mud/snow tires to fit. Anything bigger on a truck is just pointless

Yeah I love the look. It’s best looking Silverado ever. I bought the Trailboss for just over 40k pretty standard but still an awesome truck. Interior doesn’t bother me. It’s comfortable and simple.
The amount of disappointment in your comment. The 07 classic HD was arguably the best diesel engine ever. With the LBZ and the best body. Made of steel all around. Your new truck will crush like a pop can. But to each their own man.
80k for a half ton truck is what you call a waste of money. I got a used 2017 Bighorn Ram 1500 Crew cab 4X4 hemi with 28k miles on it for 29k. Keep that Chevy I can actually afford my truck
It’s $80,000 because people are letting this happen just to have a new shiny thing . It has to be 80k less chance of you paying it off. Higher chance of you trading it on for the next shiny thing. With interest you are looking at 90k. Basically 9 regular used trucks that do the same thing. Same motor same 4 wheels same fuel mileage. It’s not like this thing gets awesome fuel mileage. They just keep remolding plastic and adding more features for entertainment cause driving new cars is so boring now. I purchased a 2018 High Country in December of 2018...didn’t buy the ‘19 because I didn’t like the face of it, and it still hasn’t grown on me...i still think the 2018 is the best styling of the Silverado...I have the 6.2 litre with the 8 spd transmission and it’s awesome...
GM, you want me as a customer again, here's what you gotta do- 1. Lower the prices by 10-15%. 2. 6.2/10sp available in more models. 3. Factory 2" lift with 33" tires as option. 4. Optional 30 gallon tank. 5. Optional 3.42/3.73 gears. 6. IMPROVE THE FRIKKEN INTERIOR!!!
Sir, you do Great reviews. I am about to get my High Country 6.2 liter and I cant wait. Had a 17 for for about a year. The dealership purchased it back. They were tired of fixing it!
I think my 6.2 Ltz 2015 ... looks way better wid pretty close to the same amount of upgrades... only thing that really changed is the camera upgrades and they charging 20000 more... don’t really see it as a bargain... but still a damn nice truck... 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome video again. Love the silverados. But my 48k trailboss has a lot of these same features. Can't see myself paying 32k more for a mirror screen and heads up display lol.
My Canadian amigo never disappoints. The babymax is the most interesting powertrain for me. Great choice for a personal vehicle. I'm looking forward to the long term review.
you should mention that when comparing the Limited Ford with the Chevy there are basically no options,it comes with everything, and I believe the Ram Limited also comes fully decked out with only accessories as extra's plus out the door prices are even better on the Ford and the Ram because of much deeper discounts
I like how many actual buttons are in the chevy and I like the interior of it. Sure some higher quality material in some of those area would make it feel better but i can get over that.
Look boss not just because I am a GM guy but you killed it.. not because you giving props to GM ....but you kept it real....when you compare truck ,cars or bikes you give good and bad...not just the good everything...bad or good that what an honest person does....some times you channel feels like you sponsored by a brand....ford and dodge...paticularly....eveytime you give reviews on those trucks you all don't keep it honest. .....it like they are perfect...a bunch of people don't pay attention ....but sooner or later they will....
80 grand maybe if i was rich... also i don't like the modern diesel emissions crap on it. I have a Chevy Colorado and it was doing a regen like 3 times per tank.... i put a tuner on it to disable the egr and now mine only regens once per tank which is so much nicer.
leoaleromm on the outside yes but the interior is by far the best out of any of the manufacturers. Even without the 12in touch screen you are getting soft materials and a good looking design.
80g what a fool. I can take 40g, swap the 6.2 and supercharge, put a 6in lift, put 35s, re-gear it, new suspension kit, on and on and still have money left over.
The interior materials aren't as fancy as the Ram for one simple reason, durability. This is a truck thats built to last not cater to the suburban dads that want to look like a cowboy.
If you're walking up to the truck with your hands full, how are you gonna press the button on the fob to open the tailgate? Don't you need a hand for that, just like if you were opening it manually?
I’m still not a big fan of the styling, but the front end has grown on me a bit for the higher end models. Still think those base models look fugly in the front
My 15 ram 2500 crew cab long bed 4x4 6.4 Hemi. Was only $43,000 brand new. And it has twice the capability. Twice the capacity and gets the same MPG. So why the additional $37,000?
imo that particular silverado exactly like it's sitting there is super gorgeous, canadians seem to have great taste in trucks (also love the way that ram sport looks)
8:49 i think chevy should have been 1st to the big center screen game. Pause here and see that they could of just extended it downwards pushing a few knobs &buttons to the side. Instead they keep the knobs and just leave a plastic gap to each side.
Why was my 2019 high country that is like that but is a pearl white with the black wheels and Bridgestone tires a 5.3L V8 though is the same price? And I gave a decent amount for the down payment more than enough for any other high country I've seen and the thing that really pisses my off is all the chips on the high end paint i paid for i get a little pissed about some of the little quirks but its still a really cool truck. I just cant believe I still owe another 50% on the end of some number
'Bought a (crew cab) Duramax 2500 in 2006. Liked it so much I bought another one (extended cab long box) to replace a farm truck I gave to a friend (second 2500 had 135,000 mi.). I paid $42,000.00 for the first (with 72 mos. free financing) and $19,900.00 for the second. If you offered to trade me the, "High Country," even up for one of them I'd honestly say, "no thanks." Cameras are nice, but not $40,000.00 nice. And how long before the emissions on that thing start to go south?
I really love this Truck. But there is one unvorgiveable issue. This tiny 22 gallon tank and no option to change into a more usable size of 32 or more gallons. What a shame
your right...and wrong, its 52,280...typical charter school, home school failures in this country, its says CA in big letters on the trucks build sheet...
Try 67. Which is still 27,000 more than what the trail boss custom with the exact same power train And dashboard. So I’m paying $27,000 for nicer seats?
C Pr trail boss custom you can get the 6.2 I know not the diesel but know one buys that weak diesel. My point is, both high Country and trail boss both have the same touch screen, 6.2l v8 10 speed auto 4x4. One truck is 67k the other is 40k. No convenience options on the PLANET are worth $27,000.

What the heck did the dinosaurs do prior to all these 52 cameras??
I purchased a 2018 High Country in December of 2018...didn’t buy the ‘19 because I didn’t like the face of it, and it still hasn’t grown on me...i still think the 2018 is the best styling of the Silverado...I have the 6.2 litre with the 8 spd transmission and it’s awesome...
GM, you want me as a customer again, here's what you gotta do-
30 gallon fuel tank should be standard. Be a lot nicer for road trips.
My f150 2015 got 36 gallon gas tank, chevy is way behind 😆😅🤣
I would NEVER pay 80 K for a 1500 pickup, no matter what make!
Woah the fuel economy is really good. Even the Ranger Raptor with the 2.3L diesel can't really maintain those numbers.
Awesome video again. Love the silverados. But my 48k trailboss has a lot of these same features. Can't see myself paying 32k more for a mirror screen and heads up display lol.
This 80k is $57,000 is US dollars, FYI.
@@vmattholland true. But I've still seen the high country in the US go for 70k plus
80k for a joke? That's an expensive joke
It’s 60k usd if you get it with everything, he is talking Canadian money
I loved matriarch mother mary blue color.
Steven, what would be the secret to keeping the underbody from rusting out considering the investment, here?
Those new Chevys are way better protected compared to the older ones. Id say a good rustproof treatment would do the trick.
Buy an aluminum body ford,or just never drive on salted roads!
Sticker does have the tow rating for each type of trailer at the bottom of the sticker. 4200kg/9300lbs conventional trailer tow capability
My Canadian amigo never disappoints. The babymax is the most interesting powertrain for me. Great choice for a personal vehicle. I'm looking forward to the long term review.
Missing air suspension ... and quality material on the interior ..... and what engine could be worse than the 5.3 ....
How did you get the Black wheels???? are they 20 or 22's/
Love the look of this truck. Beautiful color with the chrome and bronze accents.
30 MILLION unemployment - sounds like a GREAT idea.
@C Pr No I am not, I am not going to flush money down the toilet as the dollar is based on nothing. I am not going to be in DEBT.
you should mention that when comparing the Limited Ford with the Chevy there are basically no options,it comes with everything, and I believe the Ram Limited also comes fully decked out with only accessories as extra's plus out the door prices are even better on the Ford and the Ram because of much deeper discounts
I like how many actual buttons are in the chevy and I like the interior of it. Sure some higher quality material in some of those area would make it feel better but i can get over that.
My High Country here in Florida is awesome!! Great video
I think this is a great looking truck!
Hello love the truck question I’m trying to get this 22 wheels whats the part number so I can order them I would really Appreciate it
I like the looks of the Silverado 👍🏼
Look boss not just because I am a GM guy but you killed it.. not because you giving props to GM ....but you kept it real....when you compare truck ,cars or bikes you give good and bad...not just the good everything...bad or good that what an honest person does....some times you channel feels like you sponsored by a brand....ford and dodge...paticularly....eveytime you give reviews on those trucks you all don't keep it honest. .....it like they are perfect...a bunch of people don't pay attention ....but sooner or later they will....
I wish you could “kick” open the tailgate like equinox. If my hands are full I can’t push a button. It would compliment the one push to make it go up
80 grand maybe if i was rich... also i don't like the modern diesel emissions crap on it. I have a Chevy Colorado and it was doing a regen like 3 times per tank.... i put a tuner on it to disable the egr and now mine only regens once per tank which is so much nicer.
The sticker says right on it that the conventional bumper pull tow ratting is 9300lbs lol
Bargain my ass. You couldnt give me that princess of a truck.
I do have to say though it’s a great looking truck but 2 things: the ram looks better and the Sierra looks better than all of them
The Ram looks boring
leoaleromm on the outside yes but the interior is by far the best out of any of the manufacturers.
Ram is such a cowboy truck
Tundra is better in durability but ram is the best overall
Beautiful truck! I love the bold look on the front.
I love the Silverado
I love this truck but I hate it cause I can’t afford it .Great review brother.🇨🇦😊🇨🇦😊
Great Review but I'm having difficulty locating the Standard bed option. The short bed doesn't cut it for me, I need a truck.
Who cares
Imagine paying 80k for a truck and that's the interior you get. oooof
No electric side steps!?!? Not a 80k fully loaded package, I'm my eyes🤷🏾♂️ High Country my ass🤦🏾♂️
I paid half of that for a 2020 Lariat in Canada. This is not a bargain hah.
Love it. Best truck out there. I think the interior is great. The only interior option the Ram has is that big screen. Is that really needed though?
Why was my 2019 high country that is like that but is a pearl white with the black wheels and Bridgestone tires a 5.3L V8 though is the same price?
And I gave a decent amount for the down payment more than enough for any other high country I've seen and the thing that really pisses my off is all the chips on the high end paint i paid for i get a little pissed about some of the little quirks but its still a really cool truck.
I just cant believe I still owe another 50% on the end of some number
Does the silverado have an option for a high idle switch?
The new Silverado is the best looking full size truck currently on the market. The grill is beastly and aggressive and the body lines are sharp.
In these comments: Americans having no clue this $80k truck is in Canada, and would cost $57k in freedom bucks.
your right...and wrong, its 52,280...typical charter school, home school failures in this country, its says CA in big letters on the trucks build sheet...
Try 67. Which is still 27,000 more than what the trail boss custom with the exact same power train And dashboard. So I’m paying $27,000 for nicer seats?
I had freedom bucks once. The Patriot Act stole em.

Any proof on it being weak?
