Can't imagine the feeling of being up that high when the planes hit. There's a video of a phone call on 9/11 where a guy was stuck up there and you can hear the building start falling as he says "oh god!" Can't even imagine. Bless them people. Still can't believe it
@@JPX64Channel I've heard that recording. He was in his office on the phone.
Good ol Kev.
that is still a very haunting phone call may he rest in peace along with the other victims

At 1:03 the kids laugh made me cry.. it describes everything of the World Trade Center.. The towers were more then just a working place.. Of course if you worked there you had one of the best places in the world but that's not the main thing.. The main thing is that the towers were also made for friends and family.. Thousands of families spent the days to made a vacation and to visit the towers-of course to have fun. Thank you for uploading!!! I still got a ticket from 09/10/01
Really??
Keep it man its something to show the future generations
kids in this video are most likely 20 soon or even now
@@thegmodguy3411 Um what? This was obviously filmed in 2001 or earlier, and so they're probably around 30... What was your logic?
@@ls_grayson Well obviously... Lets do the maths here. If the kids were around 6-10 in this video then they'd now be about 26-30 seeing as 2001 was 20 years ago.
Even in 2023 its hard to believe that those towers are gone.
***** where did you find that.
boom_ N7 it's a dead petition now, White House ended it for lack of signatures.
Mark Browne here from 2019
Here 2020 soon
Same here i was only 3 months old when it happened but i remember seeing them fall and it haunts me to this day
This got recommended to me today. I was there on the exact same day and seemingly at the exact same time. It is very strange to actually see my sister walk past in the background. To this day, my visit to the Twin Towers is still one of my fondest memories from visiting the US for the first time. I was heartbroken to see them collapse only 2 months later.
@White Lily do you have a time stamp for your sister on screen ❓
wow! freaky.
I don’t believe you.
Ya okay bro
that’s cool that your sister is on this video
Breaks my heart every time I see a video such as this. Gone but not forgotten. RIP to all those who didn't get the chance to live another day.
I truly endorse your feelings, mine is the same, everytime.
Anche me mi dispiace molto 😢😢😢
these people must feel so grateful to be alive just 2 months later its all gone
@@agentbolibombscare9207 yeah they were, 3 days before the attacks they disabled the cctv cameras inside the wtc and sealed off an area which people dressed up in janitors were using this time to wire up dynamites and explosives.

@@Gencturk92 Oh man i wish people like you were on flight 77 or 175 so bad with your dumb ass
Oh good lord people stop..
Ok if they was wired to detonate. Why go through the trouble of grooming terrorists and planning everything out and have the planes fly into the trade centers and the Pentagon and the one that was meant to fly into the white house?
Why not just blame the bombs on the terrorists?
2:39 that girl talks about how it would hurt to fall off the building... Creepy very creepy

So sorry for your loss.

I am sorry for your loss, may he rest in peace. I hope you, and your family are doing ok now
Mad respect bro. 🫡
I was 43 when it happened and I saw the second plane hit and the buildings collapse on television and it messes with me. At least I have memories of life before 9/11.
My mom was 51 when it happened. She remembers going to the World Trade Center back in the early 80s. She was on the Observation Deck back then. She thought it was amazing. We both couldnt believe those Towers are gone.
I was 10 when 9/11 happened. I dont remember a whole lot, but I do remember I was at school when it happened and there was an announcement over the speaker saying that we were all told to go home early today. We left at about 11 Central Time. I went to my friend's house because my mom was still at work and she wouldn't be home until later. I saw when the second plane hit the South Tower. I couldn't believe it. Still crazy today. Hard to believe it's been nearly 20 years since it happened. Life was so much simpler back then.
@Matthew Jay Evans it really is crazy. like ur watching people die. i wasn’t born when 9/11 happened, i was born in 2006.
@@realAutoman well there have been previous tragedies before 9/11 dont forget WW2
My pops was around the same age when it happened. He told me what New York City was like that day. He said it was like a portal to hell had opened up
When I was a kid I saw these buildings in home alone 2 and thought I'm going there one day now ill never get the chance, luv from New Zealand
Wow same here
You can go to the one world trade but it just doesn’t feel the same
Try going to the new World Trade Center. The Elevator to the observation deck has an amazing 3D Time Lapse of New York City. It shows it from Grassland Days to Twin Tower Days to present. It’s really dope man

I wasn’t born until about 5 months after 9/11 but this video just made me so emotional seeing all the people there having fun, not knowing of the tragedy that would strike in less than 2 months. RIP to all who lost their lives on that horrific day. 💔
Just knowing how high those buildings are scares me 😱
The girl who looked at the floor when they got to the top and said “Not that high, is it?” is gonna be a comedian some day. That joke was🔥
It should still be! I'm a New Yorker born and raised. I was down in Lower Manhattan for the first time in three years this past Sunday, and my has the site changed.
Great foottage! You were fortunate enough to be there on a fairly clear day and when the weather permitted the Sky Deck to be open to the public. Thank you for sharing this, it brings back great memories of my days working in the South Tower and on pay days going to Top of the World for lunch and sometimes to the roof.
Any chance Were You In The South Tower The Day It Was Hit Just Asking
I'm so glad that you are alive!
You know who else was fortunate enough to be there on a very clear day
It indeed does look very clear, and a warm summer's day. Doesnt look blustery or cold up there. The clouds give a nice sense of perspective.
The little girl in the blue shirt was around my age at the time. Crazy to think she's about 25 now...

Its okay, now we have the Freedom Tower.
@@donkey3187 And it's Chinese-looking crap.
It's been over 20 years, I visited but never lived in New York, and I think about 9/11 everyday. Not just the WTC but The Pentagon and flight 93 as well. The words "Lets roll" mean something more to me now. I don't know any one personally affected by this tragedy but as an American watching it all unfold has changed me forever. I remember everybody had an American flag whether it was one they purchased or got out of the newspaper posted in their windows. We were united as Americans. I share this today February 26th 2023 because it breaks my heart to see how divided we have become. We always say NEVER FORGET but to me it looks like we have forgotten! Friend of mine was supposed to be at Windows On The World restaurant with his girlfriend 9/11. But he woke up that morning feeling really ill & they canceled it.
Should have rebuilt these towers as a sign of defiance... and restored the skyline to it's former glory.
I like that idea, although part of that would be trying to pretend it never happened if the skyline would be the same again. We can’t pretend this never happened, never forget this day. 😞
Hard to imagine having to choose whether to burn or jump from those towers it's unimaginable. Rip to all those lost that awful day x
2:40 That little girl said: “Could that kill you if you fell that far down?“ 😢 #neverforget911
She says “would it kill you if you fell on barbed wire?”
@@henryd954 I suppose you think that's funny? It's not.
I think she said barbwire
I never went inside the building, but I drove past it in a taxi several times, and it was BREATHTAKING to look up from underneath it.
I stood in the courtyard back in 1999. Then we walked thru Wall street and I saw the Bull statue. We were on LSD
Such amazing footage, i wish i could have gone up those towers. My dream now is to visit NYC and go to the top of One wtc and the memorial museum
NYC is overrated, it has the good places like Times Square, 5th Avenue, lower Manhattan but that´s it.
^^^ where I live ( California ) is way more overrated than NYC which I want to live in one day
I'm from l.a and visited NYC last year. I can't wait to go again. I didn't dare go up since I'm afraid of heights but I did visit the memorial museum and it was the highlight of my trip.
jevitigre overrated?? I don’t think so
jevitigre hahaha oh really overrated? Because you can’t afford to live there. NYC is the most amazing city
What makes me angry is How many people were told & advised to "stay put" even after the 2nd plane hit the 2nd plane hit. ...To go back to your office or your desk & "wait"
i've heard that but also heard from people who said EFF THAT!!! and left. decision saved their lives
In the summer or 1996, my brother pulled me on rollerblades from his mountain bike while I held onto the back of his seat. We went from the upper east side down Park Avenue, under the Met Life (Pan Am) Bldg, all the way down to Battery Park. I remember skating around that globe between the towers. He asked me if I wanted to go to the top. I declined, thinking I'd already been to the 86th floor of the Empire State Bldg 6 years prior and been to the Sears Tower a couple times, as well as the John Hancock. God, do I wish I hadn't declined. Big regret. You always think there will be more time.
Those buildings where beautiful I remember visiting about a week or two before the attack I was in 2nd grade standing across the river in Battery park waiting to visit the Statue of Liberty we stood there for a good hour admiring those buildings . My aunt told me to get up on a park bench to take a picture of the towers behind me . I will never forget that beautiful day I visited and I will never forget all of the beautiful lives MURDERED that day.
Really touching
Wow, that's amazing. You're probably my daughter's age.. she'll be 29. But about a week or so before 911, she went with her school on a class trip to the statue of liberty, taking the ferry from battery park to liberty island.
We took her out of school the morning of 911, after we all left work, and i remember thinking.. .Jesus, it was just a week ago she was there.
hella creepy that it seems like the little girl had an intrusive thought about falling and asked her mom how much it would hurt to fall from here and her mom answers "it would hurt a lot"
Crazy to think parents lie and say “It would hurt a lot” versus saying “You would die a fast and painful death.”
@@adamjustadam a minute of freefalling from a building is probably a very long minute

Hey thank you for this video, Im not american but I do live just on the other side of the boarder where the world trade center was. I was born on March 15th 2001, I never did remember anything since being a baby and hearing about the 9/11 attack and witnessing countless videos showing how it all went is terrifying to hear. My thoughts and prayers goes out to all the victims and their families for the losses of life they all had to experience for the people in/on the trade center buildings but also for the victims who had their plane hijacked for this attack. I feel so bad even tho I was just a baby and I wouldn't pay attention at all. Amazing video, thank you for showing what a beautiful view people had for this place and on top of structure that was the top of it's kind at the time. Screw anyone who wants to break families and friends because of their beliefs. Sorry for that thank you again ♥️

The melody at the start was very lovely
Breathtaking footage 💓
I turned 5 in July 2001 and although i was very young, I remember a lot from that year due to me being so hyper and energetic and I remember my parents taking me to the seaport and then on a ferry and there's many Kodak pictures from that day and when I look back at those pictures, i see myself smiling with the twin towers in the back view and it's just sad now when I look at those pics. It feels even more sad for us new yorkers because it was something so horrible that happened not too far away from where we live so it feels a bit more personal. Not to mention that I had family members that worked in those buildings but luckily none of them got hurt. But my brother almost died since he woke up late for work that day. I vividly remember his work clothes going from shiny black to dull and grey from the debris. Everything felt lighter before all of this chaos. There used to be a mall there too and I would go often. The seaport ain't the same anymore either.
I'm mexican, I live in a small town near the US border. I saw the twin towers in many movies when I was a kid, I always wanted to some day go visit them... never happened. Now, as adult, I must go to the new WTC and see the 2 wtc memorial.
I know it's odd to say.
But it feels like an effing different world watching this.
It is a different world now...
Good memories of a much happier time We will never forget that day.

This is a terrific video, thank you for sharing
I was there in 1976, not long after they were built to celebrate the Bi-Centenial. My father worked for the Bell System and helped install some of the phone systems when the Towers were being built. It still upsets me that they are gone forever.
Incredible footage, saved for future generations.
Looking straight south to north or the other way around, the Towers were 3 foot apart in space at a acre away. Also they made great sun dial. Watched them being built in the 60s as a kid, myself and two brothers worked there at on time or another, father had meetings on the 103rd floor of the south tower. One of my tattoos was designed by someone who was there that day. My one brother helped at Ground Zero, my youngest lives at the bottom of the mountain in Pennsylvania where #93 came down, and I delivered 165 high back office chairs to the temporary setup for the Pentagon so they can go back to work. And one of our drivers delivered steel for the Freedom Tower.
Thank you for sharing those priceless images of the World Trade Center

i cant imagine visiting America with my wife and kids, we'd be so happy, so much excitement going up to the top of something like that as a tourist, one of the highlights of a families life most likely, imagine how happy and safe you'd feel, i know that holiday feeling with family all to well, i cant imagine a few moments later realizing the horror you're in, im just thinking from a family tourists perspectives, obviously i know there were many more tragic stories than that.
Luckily, there were actually no tourists up at the top of the tower during the attacks. The observatory had not yet opened to the public that morning when the first plane struck, and obviously never ended up opening that day at all.

Appropriate when in the presence of the Statue of Liberty given its history.
I digged up more shit during the attacks, frank di martini said the express elevators were risk of collapse, as he was concerned about the condition of the 78th floor, 4 fire fighters all said the buildings were unsafe, this was 935 AM, and they wanted PPL out of the building. They asked for evac of the Trade center, a architect who worked at the trade centre also felt the building was weird, he was on the 56th floor, he broke his foot, and he said the building was failing.
I will NEVER forget that day.
lovely Enya music
there were quiet a few at the TC who all said the buildings were unsafe, a firefighter said 40 mins into the attacks, there is big pieces of the building falling, and this was from the lobby. Elevators were collapsing, this was said 930 Am prior to the impending collapse. A police officer said to one firefighter, the buildings are leaning and they were calling fire fighters down, before the collapse, that how unsafe they were So this showed, PPL at the TC knew it was unsafe before the collapse
Oh, and where are all those witnesses? Live footage at the scene.
