Lara is on tour, don't miss her! At 58 years old she is on my bucket list. I am giving myself the great pleasure of going to see her in June in Montreal. We only have one life!
Lara Fabian is for me the Ultimate artist.
I wonder if there's ever been, or ever will be a Lara Fabian song that doesn't make me cry.
And 2 years later she looks rejuvenated, way younger than his this video. Still with the same resonating astonishing voice.
She is truly unique. English and French are not my native languages, but the way she performs transcends language barriers. Really astonishing!

Ok...so I've watched this reaction 4 times already! I really enjoyed it. Not only do I love this song but I really liked how you seemed to make excuses for her in the beginning because of her age and she showed she still "has it!" Haven't you seen enough of Lara's performances to know that she always saves the best for last?

Oh, she can still belt. This just isn't the song for it. The story is all. She's adjusted to presbyphonia quite well. Her ear injury/subsequent menieres several years ago caused severe issues for a time, but she has adjusted to that with magnificent resilience as well. She has room to maneuver with her incredible skill.

I started laughing when she started showing her power, because she kind of proved you wrong there, lol. Though I don’t know if it was mixed voice or just voice or what, but it was pretty darn powerful. If that was her using her voice and making it sound like chest quality than that is absolutely outstanding because it sounded a little fuller and a little heavier than when other people do that.
Yeah, head-voice mastery plus reverb will stump a great ear! I love how honest Charlie is about how he got stumped. : )

She said she reevaluates her technique every 10 yrs for longevity (she's done this in her 30s,40s and now 50s). She can still belt but she doses it. The truth is, with Lara, you dont know what she can do today because she is choosing what is healthier for her voice and not what she can really do.

Get emotionally shattered by watching the music video she released for that song. Deeply and utterly moving. Also gorgeous. It's my favourite song from Papillon, her most recent studio release. Her Lockdown Sessions album is now available to stream. She only released it through her website initially. It's a very very interesting album. Impressionistic and moody. I love it!

Age does matter in singers. However, love grows with time. What am I talking about here. Think about Pavarotti...look at youtube views and his biggest views are on videos from when he was well past his prime. He filled auditoriums with adoring fans to practically the day he died. Was there anybody in the last 10 even 20 years of his career that expected an insanely stable, powerful, mind blowing 18 second high C ??? No - We. Just. Loved. Him. Lara is our Queen and she will remain so. Once Queen you remain Queen until you die. Long live the Queen.
