Can I just say... I love love LOVE the fact that you have continued to explore Lara’s work beyond the “From Lara with Love” concert (which of course is amazing!!!). It almost seems like people think her career peaked at that concert but to me it was just gaining momentum. In this day and age, a lot of people think that once a performer is past a certain age (30ish?!), that their “magic” or “value” diminishes... and in Lara’s case it’s absolutely not the case. Thank you so much for reacting to one of her newer songs. As we can all see... she’s still writes magical, powerful songs, she still sings beautifully, she still moves us with her performances and of course she’s still beyond stunning. I think she’s 49 in this video and it’s obvious that she’s still got more to give!! I actually love a lot of her newer songs. So again, thank you so much!!
If you want to continue down the powerful/heartbreaking Lara songs.... I would love to see you react to “Llora” but the music video... usually I say Lara LIVE! But this music video is a masterpiece and an emotional gut punch... but absolutely beautiful and powerful and I think everyone should watch it 😊
Another video masterpiece (but not heart wrenching lol) is Mademoiselle Hyde... OMG it’s a true masterpiece.
Other favourites would be Choose What You Love Most (and let it kill you)... amazing song!
And my ultimate favourite... I Am I WA... this Lara song isn’t well known for some reason but to me, it’s so powerful... it usually makes me burst into tears and I can’t even tell you why. Lol

Matt I love your reactions and thank you Ronald Shapiro for requesting this song! This is one of my top 10 favorite official videos from Lara. The images of a beautiful flamenco dancer and a disabled young man dancing together against all odds are just heartbreakingly moving. Even without the music the unfolding story on the screen is touching your heart in so many ways. Adding the melody and Lara's voice to it makes you feel like your soul just soaring high above on angel's wings.. You don't need lyrics to understand the message, that love and compassion can conquer all obstacles. You just have to open your heart and you'll find the way to make a seemingly impossible thing become a reality. The tears rolling down on Lara's beautiful face at the end shows you what this song means to her as well. From all the incredible dances I've seen in all my 51 years on this Earth none of them moved me like this one does and believe me, I have seen some incredible ones both in theater and on screen. This is THE dance of love as far as I'm concerned.

Par amour means because of love. It's a beautiful text, gorgeous video. Try and watch an amazing live version of it as well, with Lara and piano only. It's stunning, but of course doesn't have the emotional punch of the choreography.
L'oubli is also a gorgeous song. She wrote it about her mother, who died degenerative disease. Yet another gorgeous text.

She is very active even today. She released an album in 2017 (Camouflage).- Some of her songs there are so catchy and beautifuly crafted. 2019 (Papillon? French Album). I think she was nominated in the (French Grammy) for this Album. Then recently 2020/2021 (Lockdown album). Despite 3 decades already in her journey, she is still LARA FABIAN. Her voice is still in very good condition (But no longer in her vocal prime the ageing process is inevitable). But her songwriting skills and musical compositions are quite remarkable and very consistent in quality/standard through out the years, and even evolving. Always wonderfull, she can still belt but this just isn't the song for it. The story is all. She's adjusted to presbyphonia quite well. Her ear injury/subsequent menieres several years ago caused severe issues for a time, but she has adjusted to that with magnificent resilience as well. She has room to maneuver with her incredible skill. Always on the top, thanks to her for the emotional journey
