7 year warrantee... yep trade it in within 5 years. we have been fixing up a VW Amarok, and so far the bill is more than the ute is worth. but to be fair, I did the brakes on a 2019 ASX today, and things weren't looking good. Cars under 10 years old just don't last like the 20 year old ones!
Be mindful about voiding warranty with any mods, may find yourself needing it. Definitely value for money. Tritons are the new Hyundai excels of 4x4 Ute's these days. Have used 2015, 2017 and 2019 tritons and all junk.
Super happy to see you have a new work horse Mike, you worked hard and you earned it man. Cant say I ever expected you to have a great wall again but here we are hahaha! I will ask you to be careful though man. The current employer up here in Moranbah bought 3 of the XSR trim cannons for the fleet and we've had nothing trouble with them. We aren't doing any work that would be too hard on the Utes just hauling cleaning supplies. Yet despite the super light duty work we've had issues with climate control/AC (all 3 utes), the infotainment(all 3 utes), the 8 speed auto( 2 of the 3 utes), the 2L diesel (also 2 of the 3 utes) and the diff locker, (1 ute). I'm of the mind it's 90% because of the dry and hot climate up here but its been a shocking run with them so far. That being said, my employer deserve each and every issue these Utes give them as they're clowns to say the least, wish you and the Mongol (Great Wall) the best and I cant wait to see more from the channel and to see how the Ute goes for you! I really hope the issues I mentioned are exclusive to my workplace as that would ironically make my day 🤣
Obviously we won’t be towing in the top gears. She will 💯 blow if you do. I personally went with the budget triton and have dpf and inter cooler hose issues have not been ideal. Good luck with it 👍
With 150,000km on it? Instead of a brand new ute that has 7 years unlimited km warranty? I’m 12,000km in and I couldn’t be happier with this ute. It’s absolutely amazing. Very happy with my purchase
@ I’m glad you’re happy with it. I hope it isa good truck for you. Each to their own. Personally I would not buy a Chinese vehicle. The Chinese government is determined to dominate every industry by offering cheap value products until they eradicate the competition. Once they have accomplished that, the prices of their vehicles will rise exponentially with no one to offer competition to keep the prices down. The Xi Xi Ping regime is a dangerous dictatorship that suppresses its own people while building their military. Nearly every event critical event in modern history has been completely predictable, but most don’t care until it happens.
I drove it last week, had a headache after 30 mins driving it, and sore back. So jittery and shitty throttle, rather scary. Otherwise not too bad for sure.
Nice, I used to own touareg and other German brand cars, but the quality of Chinese cars is getting too good to pass up, can't justify overspending 40% on similar specs. I heard GWM is putting their new 2.4t diesel engine(480Nm) into the next generation of cannons this year.
@@Den-pu6re triton is much better quality we get a lot more problems with the Great Wall’s at work but saying that the quality of all new cars are not great look good have all the bells and whistles but just not built to last in my opinion
When’s the LS swap coming?

i mean, that's a VW though............lol
I’ve got a 2.5 year old one that’s pushing 100,000 km. It’s been absolutely flawless.
Great news! I'm still absolutely loving mine. Far outweighed expectations
I’ve been looking at one of these too. We also have a 2022 Haval H6 and that’s been flawless.
Highly recommend so far bro. Love it!
Can pick up many barn finds with this 💪
👀 let’s go barnfind exploring soon!
I dig them they are a great ute only brand snobs crap on them
Awesome! Congratulations on the new Pick up. I’m a Great Wall Dealer in South Africa and the vehicles really are great!
I look forward to the content!

Black on black looks sick! A black flat tray would look even meaner in my opinion, absolutely great buy mate!
Keep up the fantastic work❤
If you actually use a ute for what it's meant for a black tray will get ruined ,but if your a car driver who drives a ute then all good.
Great review...thanks Mike. I ahould get mine in two weeks. Did you end up finding a suitable/good priced roller shutter?

I appreciate this info bro! Haha I’m sorry your employer isn’t very good…so far my mongol has been amazing!
What happened to the D40?
Love that fold out step😎✌️
Nice spec !!🔥 here in South Africa these are called P-series
I’m loving it so far! Shoutout South Africa 🥰
@@itsmikelake all the best Mike !!🔥🔥
The Ute is amazing
I think you should rb swap the blown great wall
Hyundai had a bad name once, look at them now.
Could have got an LDV T60 pro Ute for just over 40k, I mean like 41-42k
Mike, what happen to the Prado build
I sold her! Was time to move on to something more modern & turbo diesel :)
Shame, are you going to post more off road content???

So far this has been bloody amazing when towing!
Could have got a mint second hand Ranger or similar.

What are you doing with the Prado, Mike? I need a cheap 7 seater for my ex
Why you gettin your ex a car 😂

cant complain with a 7 year unlimited km warranty. im sure it will get the job done.
Now where is the livery reveal hahahahahaha

I guess we have different opinions on what we like in a ute! I’m 13,000km in and love it 😁
Sure mate, thats great you like it, enjoy.
Really have to get your value out of the unlimited km warranty..
Looks schmick, congrats on the first ever brand new ride!!

I couldn’t agree more!

Definitely should’ve gone the Triton. I’d be getting rid of the Great Wall within the next few years before you put too many k’s on it.

Fair enough 👍
If you wanted an upgrade you should of brought a Pajero..

hi
I’ve been watching for ages and love your channel, but the triton is far more the Ute than this!! Keen to see how it goes for you!
Haha I respect that bro. But I fricken love this thing. Cannot fault it at all!
You would of preferred the Triton, honestly....
Talk back after 50k kms
I hope you still have the mighty Prado for when it breaks 😀
Wth ew
