I just finished this! Haven't blocked it yet, but I'm so excited to display and show it off!
I see you saying a lot that you "hate your brain too"... But I'm here to say that your brain is amazing, and I'm so thankful that you share it with us.
Also, I've tried a couple of other patterns of yours before, but was definitely tripped up on the parts where you ch 3,DC in the beginning of that and then repeat it (like in the skull tree ornaments), so I'm so stoked to try those again now that I understand your stitch work better. I really appreciate the tutorial. Thanks again!

For those who don’t enjoy conversation while crocheting, they have a great feature that reads SHOW TRANSCRIPT. This feature allows you to jump ahead. Thanks again 😊

Wow! I am on the last row now - you are a CREATIVE GENIUS! I love this pattern so much. I started with the pattern I purchased last year then happened upon your RUclips video and switched over - needless to say my counts, your counts - just wow! It all worked out. I will definitely be making more of these but I will try one of the many other patterns you have created - I have a big library from you now - Thank you so much! ❤️😃❤️

I very much appreciate the video. I bought the pattern but it was difficult for me to follow so I'm glad to have found this. But I will say that from 1:00:00 on was a nightmare for me. Following along the video to a T, I ran into issues. Visually, what I had was different from what you had and doing the chain 5, backpost dc, etc. as I didn't hit that first corner as soon as you did. I had two more posts on the left side so I guess somewhere at the 'base', I did something wrong that I required more. Either way, wound up being frustrating but I just powered through it anyway. Didn't look as great but it's done. LOL.

I love this pattern so much! One question tho, when you're working the 27 back post stitches, you start off with one at the corner and tell us to work 27 more, but at the end you finish off by doing the 27th. Is it 27 or 28 back post stitches?

    • @creativeworksbyannie

@@creativeworksbyannie Thank you so much for this response! I had the same question. Also, when we make the V stitches at the bottom corner, should those count as BPDCs too? So, should it be 51 bpdc + 1 bpdc, ch2, 1 bpdc + 18 bpdc (so 52bpdc, ch2, 19bpdc total for that portion)? Or should it be 51 bpdc, ch2, 18 bpdc (i.e., the bpdc's around the ch2 count towards the 51 and 18 bpdc totals)? Thank you Annie, I look forward to continuing this awesome project.

Hi Annie, been loving this project but I have a question, on the row 6, on the written pattern it says 30 chain spaces, I've been following the video and changing some stuff on the written pattern like you mention in the video, in the video you mention 27 chain spaces but I count 28, on my project and even on your video, is this a typo or am I just slightly going insane? Even at the 52:49 minutes you mention 11 chain spaces but i count 12 :D help please?

That round trips people up. I hate my brain too. The best thing to do is to follow the photos and forget the words of the pattern. Line up the red dots with the bpdc and line up the regular dc with the rest. You are just setting yourself up for round 7, so don't worry about fudging a bit, it won't matter. And remember !! Only you will know you fudged a bit and later you will even forget.

I’m struggling with row B and C of the written pattern. Everything seems to add up until I reach the first “corner”. If I skip 8 stitches, do the 2dc 1dc 2dc corner and then I skip the 9 stitches for the next set of 5dcs it doesn’t really line up with the dc in round 4 at all. I know we can just line it up but I really want to stitch count to be accurate and look right. I already redid the round with 2 dc in each chain space so I don’t think thats the issue but the math aint mathing. The worst part is that the picture make sense so I know its just me but Im so frustrated right now 😭

Its the trickiest part of the pattern. If you look at more of the photos instead of the written and crochet it by eye it may help more.

Annie, this is such an amazing design! I bought the pattern and have been following along to your videos, which are so helpful and charming. Thanks for sharing all your tips and tricks! I ran into a problem, though: how do you finish off round 3 of the border? You did 13 DC at the top of the coffin, then did you connect it with a slip stitch? And then how did you get to the corner chain space for round 4?
Would be so so grateful for a hint :)

Thanks Anna for all you do. Despite having fudged my way through this a couple of times previously, I'm making another, I messaged you on ravelry about round two (pattern says 13 bpdc at the end and I only had 12) and you kindly pointed me to this video. I frogged back to the end of round 1 which is exactly right according to the written pattern (I've quadruple checked), but now on round 2 when you say 27 that takes me to the 4th stitch in the first cluster of 5. Round 1 that I'm stitching into is correct to the written pattern (14dc 9bpc), so round 2 this takes me to 23 so I need to use 4 of the 5 cluster to get up to 27) but you're finishing the 27 on the 3rd stitch of the cluster of 5...what am I doing wrong?! 😂
