I am a multi-medium artist that just loves to create, and never seem to stop moving. I want to share my love for this world and nature with everyone.
I started creating at a young age since my mom was a very crafty and skilled person. I am mostly self-taught, including teaching myself to crochet at age 8 from my Mom's "How To Do Just About Anything" book from Readers Digest. Learning more with art classes through high school and almost becoming an Art Teacher. I choose a family life instead but never gave up my art and creativity.
Why do you love skulls? Skulls and bones are natures beauty. In fact I see beauty in everything. Although, without the bones, as the creatures of this world we really would not be who or what we are today. Seeing them, the common person sees no race, gender, political, or religious views. Just simple pure form of what we really are meant to be. Peaceful and caring.

Don’t let the name scare you… ok let it a little. Just like in Dante’s poem about the nine levels of not a fun place, there are nine rounds to this little piece. This wonderful looking, HUGE, doily was created with 10 skeletons not 8. So putting it on an umbrella frame is not going to work. All those hours only to find out that it was created wrong. Have you tried leaving out some chain stitch along the side of the skull?
Yes, depending on the hook and thread size I use. Always feel free to add or take away a chain in a pattern. This pattern dose require blocking. I will say, thrust in the pattern.

I love this pattern. It is the perfect pattern to use for the box of sample thread my daughter bought me for my birthday. I am wondering the best way to go about crocheting or sewing them together. Any tips or tricks would be much appreciated.
Oh I would love to see that when its all finished. I would suggest in the middle of the points between the skulls.
Hi Annie, been loving this project but I have a question, on the row 6, on the written pattern it says 30 chain spaces, I've been following the video and changing some stuff on the written pattern like you mention in the video, in the video you mention 27 chain spaces but I count 28, on my project and even on your video, is this a typo or am I just slightly going insane? Even at the 52:49 minutes you mention 11 chain spaces but i count 12 :D help please?
@@inesmorais101 shhhhhh.... good eyes, if you can skip a st to get the 27 and 11, it will be much easier later. It's one of the should a, could a, would a thing going.
I absolutely love your patterns because they are unique, different and suites my family because they absolutely love Halloween. You are amazing and I'm hopeful that you keep the patterns coming. Please make some bat doilies. I'm not very good but I do try. As a total lefty and a teacher tried to see if I was able to use both hand's. It was a disaster!!! My Aunt was my teacher when I was 16/17 years old. And it all started with a fashionable granny square pull over vest. I'm now 67 and I've made blankets, scarfs, ECT ECT ECT but could never figure out reading crochet patterns because the teacher only complicated my brain. Yes you are a true blessing to me!!!! You have made your video's especially for a person like me. I know I'm not the only person with this problem. I'd really love to join the club but I'm on SSDI. After paying Medical and monthly Medicare and of course the monthly bills and groceries, I'm busted! Crochet is a art that never gets enough credit for what it is. It's kept people with just enough to get through another day. Everything I see is copied from another country and I truly feel so sorry for their labor. They are and will never be paid for what it's worth.😢 Keep making beautiful patterns for someone and others like me. You are amazing!!!!!!!❤️

I saw someone mentioning your pattern on another video on suggestions for Halloween decorations, I'm new and getting into crochet ill be honest I've only tried amigurumi, and I do low-key suck with patterns but I want to just shoot for the stars your patterns were the first I bought (I've only bought too hopefully in the future ill manage to buy more) but I am EXTRA thankful for the video as it helps me visualize stuff way better ❤

Where did you get your board?
Lowes. Its a 1/2 inch styro insulation board. It comes in a 4x8 foot rectangle. I had them cut it in half to fit in my car, then I cut one of the squares in half, then one of those 1/4 sheets a third off. This gives me four sizes to work with. Great investment. Don't pin on the side with the blue writing as it comes off. Also these are able to be washed with soap and water to get any starch residue off.

Hi! Thank you for this cute pattern! I’m so glad you put out videos for these too! I love to crochet with you and “race”! You always win but I’m getting faster!😉 My husband and I got married in June of 2006. We planned on the 10th and the only day the week before the wedding that we could get our license was Wednesday, the 6th. When the clerk was filling out the paperwork, he asked us if we were sure we wanted to get this on this date? We both said yes and it wasn’t until we signed and dated everything that we realized our paperwork would all have 06/06/06 on it! Despite that we have been happily married for 18 years!!!!😁

what size thread if it is sized did you use?
I typically use a size 10 thread. However any size cotton thread or yarn will do for this project. Just work with the recommended hook on the package. Have fun !

We need some bats because there's nothing but the doll's. I like the doll's but when you have a adult niece who celebrates her birthday on Halloween... She goes all out! She just purchased a coffin earlier this year for her parties. So bring on everything else that reminds you of the ghosts and goblins of the old days. Frank, Dracula and let's not forget the wolf man! You do amazing work! I can't follow a pattern because some words run together or lettering jumbles up. But I can follow by watching the videos because I can stop it to catch up. So thank you so much for letting me follow along with you and making my nieces birthday more memorable for years to come. ❤
