Would you be intrested in 2 wheeled vehicles as well? A friend and I are building 2 different projects, the 1st one and old Chevette chassis which He's adding a full rollcage onto And putting a 2.3 l turbo 4 cylinder from a mid eighties Thunderbird in it also, The 2nd project is what he dubbed project to death bike, We're putting a snowmobile engine in a motorcycle chassis not a normal motorbike, but like an 80CC kids motocross bike.
The shell of the mini is amazing no rust that's what you need no rust it's a clean shell cos here in🇬🇧uk they are rust buckets hardly any left over here that shell sat in Australia bone dry for years n years that's a few grand spent there

G'day from West Australia, Talk about bring back memories. I Am or perhaps was almost 6' 3" first time I had a customer come in with a mini, the customer looked at me and said maybe I should let my short guy drive it🙂 I have to admit I was dubious about getting in the car. As I and customer found out plenty of room LMAO.
Awesome video guys! The smiles per gallon were through the roof. What a blast of a joy ride for a coffee run. The car looks fantastic and you guys never stopped smiling the whole way through. I'm not kidding when I say this is like a dose of good medicine and therapy all in one. Kind of like watching Jay Leno drive the rarest and strangest cars seen on the web every week. It is just really cool to see short video's like this to start my day and get inspired to go work. Thanks Rich and Crew for all you do.
What's so neat is the PARTY starts at 4000 rpm and wails until 8!! Too bad he didn't drive it like he stole it for you and us. The Vtec is crazy at high rpm's. A friend had one and never took it over 4k, then after watching others went out and scared himself!! Cool color!!
Hah, our old mobile toolbox ! (in the days when you did it with hammers and saws and boxes of nails !) ours were flat roofed caused by using them to move railway sleepers(ties to you) up and down sites !
I'd love to give that one a try. You can get kits to adapt a sportbike engine into a Mini. Fun thing though, is that the kits come with a gearbox to add reverse, as motorcycles don't have them. But, since the transmission on most sportbike engines is integral, that means once you add the reverse box, you get all six gears in reverse if you want! Think the mini is hard to drive with a 1.8l motor, imagine a 1.0l motor but with 190hp, a 15k RPM redline driving backwards!
Mike McKeen I did look into bike motor swaps. I’m not a fan of a motor and drivetrain pushing something heavier than what it was designed for. It would work for a track weapon but not well as a road car.
@@MrJoltfreak Yeah for sure. Having to rev to 9k RPM just to get it moving gets tiresome. Fine on a bike, but not a street car. As an utterly ridiculous toy, I can't think of anything better though.
Cool ass car though i love to see crazy builds. Craziest build ive seen was a 68 Camaro with a duramax. And it was so nice it looked factory in the bay
Hey @9:19 that's a "Wink" Mirror -- I used to have one of those in my little Acadian back in the late 80s. Never seen another one around Ontario. That is a crazy little mini. Definitely would have to be a labour of love to build something like that. Really loud also -- I kept turning down the video volume when you were driving and then back up when you were talking...
A good build. Over here in the UK. Everyone went mad for type R conversions over 20yrs ago!! It's the Renault clio past 10yrs been the favourite hot mini to Tune up in Europe.. So I spose in 15yrs time will be seeing them in classic build shows maybe?
50 yes. ago, I knew a guy that had one of these with a 283 chevy motor in it. It would wheelie no prob. It was painted an electric purple.. on the side panel was painted Poco Loco.. just love these cars ever since. I'm thinkin; one of these done electric would be a riot..
No, what I was saying is that the MCM guys did away with E85. They converted it to E85 whem they supercharged it, but one of the main issues Moog had was that he couldn't go very far, so he swapped it for more power, but it was also more fuel efficient to run the Honda engine on regular pump gas
Stumbled on to your channel with the Midget build and have been stuck on it for hours now 😂. This mini is sick. I have a thing for British cars so this caught my eye. This guys nailed it. Well done. Now get back to work on the SR4PTGTMG 😎
@@MrJoltfreak Adding a turbo will no quiet down those ghetto fart pipe tips you have on that car. If you want my opinion install a 3 inch straight pipe with no fart tips! Remember the more you let a 4 stroke breath in and especially OUT the more power you will get.
Aussie built mini vans are pretty rare now.In fact the only Time i see any is at car shows. Aussie minis were better than the english built ones because they had proper wind up windows ,not the sliders.
What an awesome little beast! And his earlier creations looked amazing as well! :o If I where to do anything I'd probably build crazy Saab's and Volvo's, probably done to death over here (Sweden) but I love me some Volvo. But mini's are awesome, probably the coolest car ever made! :D Probably nothing that hasnt been done with a Mini, road racing, rallying, drag racing, hill climbs, bet there has been 4x4 off road mini's at some point! xD We need a rock crawling mini next! :P
Neat car and Im glad you brought something like this on, and didnt discriminate and say "Eww a honda engine". Unfortunately there is no chance that engine makes 250hp.
@@AR-zq9hq Yes its a B18 but even with a set of cams, tuning, and high comp pistons it would only hit about 230 max. The guys that are really really into all motor hondas have a hard time hitting 250-300 and they do things like ITB's crazy port jobs, full head and block builds, hood exits etc. The guy said it himself hes just put a basemap on it and it hasnt seen a shop. It likely makes 180-200hp. I still think its cool, just not to lie or overestimate HP because it sounds better. My car makes 160HP on the B20B before boost and its plenty of fun and weighs a lot more, Im sure his is fast.
I'm looking at an 01 Cummins with 290000k miles. It was a farm truck so I assume there's a ton of idle wear. The body is great tho. Any advice? There isn't any blow by and I'm young trying to get into the diesel world.
nice mini cooper love it I would like too have you in my area you help do a 5.9 12v in my 1985 GMC Sub just because you have more common sense than A lot of mechanics that i know do not have. I hope you can keep up what you do best . take care go luck filthy rich.

I did drive it pretty hard but they didn't make the cut. It might have been the fear in Tamar's eyes as the torque steer put me in the other lane!
@@DEBOSSGARAGE That is a BIG Problem but I though LSD would get rid of that . Mostly!!

Even with the LSD it will have some torque steer. Without one it would be un-driveable with this much power to the wheels.
@@MrJoltfreakHow about the poor man's torque steer. Welded together?
Awesome build beautiful car love the type R Swap but that exhaust oh my God! Please if it sounds that bad on my phone . 😲😟🔊🐝

Amazing build
I've never seen two dudes grinning so much in a mini van. Wicked little van!
JCB Driver that's some great times right there
What a reliable and easy to maintain engine, in a chassis nobody really talks about often.
Never seen a 67 mini cooper van that is so cool

Nice build. Not every day you see a honda swap. I saw the the GMC/Chevy C10 build in the background. Loking very good. Cant wait to see it in action.

Cool build, but it's a shame about the FART CAN.........................
I started laughing at the beginning and giggled through out the whole thing!

Very cool and a great video 👍
the aussie boys from MCM did one of them the same swap and his is on E85 and is off its head
Mostly correct, he wanted to do away with the E85 when he swapped it because the fuel mileage was terrible, and the fuel tank is microscopic
@@this_guy6965 ya the boys from MCM had the same prob if i remmber thay added a 2nd tank

It should be called : " The 67' Fart Machine "
Yeah... A quiet exhaust would be so much better.
It sure doesn't seem that fast.. A lot of noise with not much happening.
