If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right. That's some beautiful work. Thanks for sharing your awesome cat wheel.

I don’t normally leave positive comments, but the fact that you go out of your way to redo some thing because you didn’t film it the first time around really shows the amount of time and effort you put into your video and fully justifies the quote you mentioned “ if it’s worth doing It’s worth over doing “ thank you

Thank you. Filming videos is a pain, and editing is tedious and boring. That's why I haven't posted more. I'd rather be making something.

Very successfully done! The one I bought has so many issues. I had to replace the carpet with EVA padding cuz his claws kept sticking. I have to adjust the wheels but there’s no adjuster. It’ll take me a minute for sure. I’d rather have one like yours. Very well thought out. The tools sound intriguing! I know that’s one happy proud kitty! Thank you for sharing!

Thank you so much for the kind words. The carpet I used is just a cheap rug from Home Depot, no problems with claws sticking so far! I spent a crazy amount of time and effort on the adjusters and thought it was probably overkill. It runs very smoothly and quiet so I guess it was worth it.

That was AWESOME! I could watch your cat on that wheel more! Would you consider making just a base and shipping it? Or ship the whole thing disasembled? Just beautiful!

Can the cat generate enough power on that wheel to run the entire house?😮

Anyone who has a cat knows they definitely run the house.

Thanks - love it! I’m intending following your approach. My only thought is to add a smooth skin on the exterior of the slats so there’s less rattling of the wheels. Might use some sort of laminate. 🤔
    That’s a beautiful workshop you’ve got there! Subscribed. 👍

Thanks! The wheels don't ride on the slats, both the horizontal and vertical wheels ride on the rim. I probably didn't spend enough time sanding on the rims but honestly it's pretty quiet. It seems to sound louder when filmed.

@@toebeans3985 Sadly, no. I never intended to sell these. I am retired and this is just part of my many hobbies. It would be a very expensive cat wheel. But thanks for asking!

It seems to me that there needs to be a certain amount of drag on the wheel. Otherwise it keeps going faster and faster until the cat can no longer keep up and the momentum of the wheel just keeps going.

That crazy cat gets completely vertical, stretching out and grabbing the wheel straight up. I haven't been able to get a good video of her doing it though. She's trained so that she knows if she runs on the wheel she gets a treat. So only short runs for her and then she's looking for the treats.
