1) Establish the lower register (chest voice)
2) Establish the higher register (head voice)
3) Connect the lower & higher register for a seamless sound when you switch.
Then combine w/ styling using licks & runs from the Blues scale & using the vibrato.

No classical signer has ever been told to sound breathy or weak, and other statements on classical signing are wrong... the info on jazz technique is cool though
