I really listened/interested in his songs because of the Perks of Being a Wallflower movie(the song Heroes),after that i was just hooked..RIP David Bowie..
I wish everyone knew how much they were loved by so many people, before they were gone.. I wish that every time someone leaves us and then there's such an outpouring of love. Please can we show everyone how much they mean to us while they're still here to see it? Thank you for the music and beauty you give us, I love you.
It's such a shame so few entertainers know how loved they are before they die.I've always wished more of them really could feel how loved they were before they died.Maybe some of them would still be here.
This is is a very clever arrangement. The electric guitar almost has a haunting element to it. Mike's voice certainly does this tune justice. He is a stunning guitarist. We lost the magic of David Bowie, but we've still got some brilliance to come from musicians like Mike.
Sadly most of the youth sees rap as artwork that needs to be framed, or something. They all care about th cuss words and the drugs in songs, not the actual meaning behind the lyrics.
still not over his passing, we lost a true soul, someone that was truly himself and did whatever fit his fancy. Going through old albums and finding new meaning in old songs, bout the only thing that I can do, would just love to hold his hand and say thank you.
A few months ago my dad sadly passed away and I've never heard any Bowie songs but I can't help but feel like that song is him talking to me, y'know he went out to work and it's kinda like him going out into space and yeah... I really hope that you know the impact that this song is going to have on me from now on and I really do thank you for that!! I like how lots of artists, from the past century as well as from this one, were inspired so much by the Starman. It's great to see the huge amount of tributes and covers that are being made. I'm glad that now, new generations and people who never knew or payed attention to David's fantastic music and beautiful innovative style, are now discovering (or maybe rediscovering) it, shall it be by other musicians' covers, or because his music has been on top of the lists this last few days since the world lost him. I'm twenty one years old and I can proudly say I've been in love with Bowie's music for years now, it feels amazing to see new artists paying tribute. Helo, Mike. My name is Iván, and I'm from Argentina. The important thing to say is that music is my life, and you may hear anybody saying that, but I really mean it. I began playing piano 4 years ago, and in my first concert I heard a gorgeous girl (who now is a friend of mine) singing "Let her go" with her lovely voice and her guitar. That was the first time I heard one of your songs, and since then I can say that I became your biggest fan. I have heard all your songs, seen all your videos, and shared every tear and every laugh with your music. I love the way you feel the lyrics of the songs when you sing. I just burst in to tears at the first line he sung. There will never be anyone who could write and sing like Bowie but this feels as near as it's ever going to get.
This song is really sad. Everyone, you are loved and you can get through whatever you are going through. Even if there is no answer, just to let you know that there is love and real pain within you and I see you. You can pass this.
"Planet earth is blue and there's nothing I can do" has so many different meanings. A new meaning added when we lost David.

' died it' woooooow way too soon that man !!!
I have been following passenger since 2015 and still following...
hes amazing live, saw him like 6 times now, and seeing him a 7th tomorrow in Dublin, has the perfect balance of great voice, beautiful songs and a brilliant chemistry with the crowd
Diamond sword to major steve...
I need that
Wonderful tribute, wonderfully & beautifully done. Thank you, Mike.
I can confirm, Major Tom is indeed shitting in a tin can.
icecream is nice cheeky
Jajaja of course, this cover is rubbish.
Tbh,if i was major Tom i would shit myself aswell,i mean you are thousands of miles away from earth & theres nothing you can do if something goes wrong,if that aint the right time to shit myself i dont know what is
Space Oddity
Ground control to Major Tom...
Ground control to Major Tom:
Lock your Soyuz hatch and put your helmet on!
Ground control to Major Tom...
Commencing countdown, engines on,
Detach from station and may God's love be with you.
This is ground control to Major Tom:
You've really made the grade
And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear,
But it's time to guide the capsule if you dare.
This is Major Tom to ground control:
I've left for ever more
And I'm floating in a most peculiar way,
And the stars look very different today.
For here am I sitting in a tin can far above the world.
Planet Earth is blue and there's nothing left to do.
Though I've flown one hundred thousand miles,
I'm feeling very still.
And before too long I know it's time to go,
A commender comes down back to Earth and rolls.
Ground control to Major Tom:
The time is near, there's not too long.
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you...
Here am I floating in my tin can,
Last glimpse of the world,
Planet Earth is blue and there's nothing left to do
2019 who's here because of skam wtfock? 😂
Yeah😂👌🏻
Who?
10 months later but me 😂
ME RN
I just burst in to tears at the first line he sung. There will never be anyone who could write and sing like Bowie but this feels as near as it's ever going to get.
Thirteen Halliwell Dude same and I'm not even that emotional ether but something about Bowie or people who do covers makes me really remember him
Would have been great on The secret life of Walter Mitty
This song is really sad. Everyone, you are loved and you can get through whatever you are going through. Even if there is no answer, just to let you know that there is love and real pain within you and I see you. You can pass this.
Could anyone read what the bassist's T-shirt said"violence is..." something
immoral :)
+danny goddard Thanks :)
Stunning cover, puts a lost, lonely spin on the song, got tears in my eyes at the end :') probably my favourite Bowie cover ever
wtfock did you block Sander????????????????????? awwww Robbe........ :(
WTFock brought me here :(
I love Passenger´s version of David Bowie’s iconic ‘Space Oddity’!
"ground control to major tom" didn't joey sing this to phoebe in an episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. when joey and phoebe are returning from L.A. ?
they also used it in a recent episode of the last man on earth 😊
Chandler sang
Space Oddity was a song I've always loved, and y'all did a good job with it.
Have you noticed that Mike loves singing wearing shorts?
beautiful rendition Mike and a really fitting tribute to David Bowie and his phenomenal song writing talent.
likeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wasn't ready for such a tender voice coming from a guy that looks so manly. Impressive work.
Yeah. I've heard he's a really sweet guy too. Nothing like you'd expect at first sight.
yes he's the sweetest little fairy prince, best live concert ever
+Floris “chicken” Bordewijk I agree! Nicest guy, showed a genuine interest in meeting us too which isn't something you ever expect
WTFock anyone?
