I'll try to be brief, but this is one of the weirdest things that has ever happened to me, and still haunts me now and then. I was working in an office in a small town in New York State. There were women and men in the same office but in 2 different areas. There was a young woman working there who was pretty and nice. I was nearly 30 years her senior. We would say "hi" in the hallway but didn't generally have any contact with each other. One day, out of the blue this young woman came to my desk and asked me if I would go to lunch with her. I was confused but I said "sure". My mind was racing all morning trying to figure out what this was all about. We agreed on a place to have lunch where we could talk. During lunch she told me about a new job she had taken and how exited she was about it. Her new job was in one of the W.T.C. buildings. I congratulated her and she told me about the job, but we never talked about why she had chosen me to confide in about this, as we were basically strangers to each other. We finished lunch and drove back to our office where we told each other how enjoyable our lunch together was, then went back to our work places. I didn't see her again before she left on her new journey. The next time I heard her name was when the tally of names of the dead was announced. I still have no idea why our encounter happened. Why did she choose me to confide in? I can't figure it out and have never told anyone about it before now, thinking no one would believe me.

Owned a music store during this time period. The morning of Tuesday 9/11 2001 I put out the new releases including the Dream Theater release. (Tuesday was new release day at the time.) We opened at 10 AM and got a phone call to turn on the T.V. that a plane had hit the world trade center. As we watched in disbelief I told my partner about that Dream Theater release I had put out just an hour earlier. We pulled them off the shelf immediately. Still get chills thinking about that to this day. Unbelievable.

Honestly just looking at the album art it's pretty clear that the waitress is just supposed to be the Statue of Liberty and the idea is you're seeing the perfect picture of NYC skyline with Lady Liberty in the foreground

It’s worth noting that a lot of the depictions of the Twin Towers being destroyed was also just a common trope of recognizable architectural icons like the Golden Gate Bridge, Great Wall of China, or Eiffel Tower being destroyed in movies. The Twins were destroyed in numerous movies, comics and cartoons throughout the late 20th century.
Of course looking back at it now would make those depictions of the Twin Towers exceptionally eerie.
It's a sad thing to imagine. it's the old "Statue of Liberty in disaster movies" I distinctly remember a video game with spider man where the twin towers get destroyed I was born after Sept. 11 2001 but it was a hand me down and my dad saw the scene and was shocked and we checked the copyright and it was before the attacks ( I'm pretty sure a helicopter hit the building as well I could be wrong)

I was so young when 9/11 happened that I can't really assimilate the towers as an american symbol, I can only associate them with the tragedy (and also I'm not american). When I think of an american symbol it's always the Liberty Statue that pops into my mind. In my lifetime I could only see what NYC skyline looked like with the towers, through old pictures. My final article for the university will be about 9/11 but I confess that it blows my mind to think of a world before it happened, it's hard to me to just conceive this different reality

There is an episode of The Twilight Zone (original 1960's), where the main character is reading from a Civil War diary about an attack on "the citadel" on Tuesday, September 11th. Even the same day of the week. Weird coincidences.

As a citizen of the UK I've always found it eerie that the towers looked like an eleven and the emergency number in America is 911, and so many emergency workers were killed by this brutal act.
As a US citizen, I too found it eerie.
Well yeah of course emergency workers are going to die it was their duty so it being 911 doesn’t really change much and the connection doesn’t make sense

AC/DC released their album "Stiff Upper Lip" in 2000 and there's a song on it called "Safe in New York City", which happened to be the radio single that was in circulation around 9/11. I even remember the local rock station playing it shortly after and mentioning that the song took on a whole different meaning after the attacks.
The album also shows a statue of Angus in front of what looks like it could be the World Trade Center. The promotional poster for their world tour at the time shows it much more clear that it's the WTC.
I always found the Roger Waters song Towers of Faith to be quite eerie in terms of not only being about the World Trade Centre but about religion and the Middle East

personally I think the artists writing the 'coincidental' lyrics are plucking their ideas from the mindspace that we all take part in and influence...it seems to be evidence of this psychic field. there was an interesting experiment on random number generators already being done at the time of 9/11 and just before the attack they went acted differently than normal, showing there is some kind of mental connection going on that we don't yet understand.

In 1989 Boston hardcore band Gang Green released their " older budweiser" album. On it was a track called " Flight 911". The song would appear to be about returning to the USA from a European tour.
When the number is sang it's as "flight 9-11". Always thought it was a bit creepy after what happened.

The cover picture of a major magazine issue back in 1973 showed the original designer / builder or owner of the World Trade Center buildings. Plus the face of the lady (looks kinda frightened/shocked) and that she seems to be pointing out something. I mean, come on... why this angle so that the glass overlap exactly on the right side of the tower?

Being from the same home town as Dream Theater, I was well aware of the album cover and I knew it would be mentioned in this video, but it's the one after it; Squad Five-O, a band that I had never heard of, that blew my mind! That album cover is somewhere beyond eerie.

Their very dark song 4th Of July off the same album Superunknown is a perfect example of the event.
To me the original artwork on "The Coup" album is the most eye opening. What drew my attention to it were the locations of the explosions depicted. The one on the right seems to look like the fireball is a bit higher, which closely represents the hit on the first tower. The fact that it's also on the tower with the antenna is even more eerie. On the left, the fireball looks to be more middle and nearer to one of the corners of the building, which was accurate as to the tower 2 hit. I do realize though that, in reference to the layout of the buildings, the impacts depicted would be incorrect as to the sides of the buildings in which they actually happened. All very interesting though. So odd.....

A very eerie coincidence that I've always found fascinating is within the videoclip of Mylène Farmer's "L'Instant X" ("The X Moment"), a French song released in 1995… The song itself talks about the end of the World, and the music video was shot in NY: it opens with a wide shot of NYC's skyline (including the WTC). I had to sit down and immediately felt that this was the cause of my extremely bad feeling that morning. I really had a premonition that day.
I was at work, but at home (Eastern Europe) - not quite so common back then. I did switch the TV on just a few minutes into the coverage, which I had NOT heard about otherwise, and that was NOT a real habit for me, and there was no particular reason. However, I had been editing a text on the growing assertiveness / aggression of anti-globalist G7 protests, and how they would soon prove uncontrollable. So when I switched on and began with what would be some hours of watching, I immediately put 2 and 2 together and made 5! I phoned a colleague a few minutes later, and immediately had the idea of Os**a planted in my head by that person. Ashamed (in a way) to say that name was unknown to me at that moment...

Tool song Jimmy on the Aenema album. It’s track 9 on the album, says “eleven” multiple times in the lyrics, and says things like “eleven and she was gone, eleven is when we said goodbye”. I was convinced this song predicted it. Probably not, but listen to it, it’s a crazy coincidence. 😮
Tori Amos wrote the song "I can't see New York" three months prior to the 9/11 attacks. It was released on the 03' album Scarlets Walk. Interpret it as you wish, but the lyrics are both haunting and heartbreaking!
I just read the lyrics and 2 things stool put to me
1. The repeating of someone shouting "on the other side" I've watched many broadcasts of the attacks and most didn't realize the second was a plane because it was on the other side of the building (they did see the plane coming in on rerun after about 2 minutes"
2. "Do we conduct a search" was a common thought of first responders after because of how dangerous Ground Zero was.
The phrase 'clutching at straws' has never been more fitting... Jeeez
Powerman 5000's album "Anyone For Doomsday" was suppose to come out in August, but was pulled claiming the material wasn't good enough for release.
The very dark Soundgarden song "4th Of July" off the album Superunknown (1994). The chorus goes:

And I saw it in the sky

Also noteworthy from Superunknown is the song "Limo Wreck" with lyrics like "building the towers belongs to the skies, when the whole thing comes crashing down, don't ask me why"
Wow. I believe u. What an incredibly odd encounter, but that said ... maybe she saw something in u or felt comfortable with u in a way others may never understand even u. We may never know why things happen why ppl chose ppl.

Oh Superman by Laurie Anderson
Genesis released their two record album 'The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway' in 1974. One song from it called 'Fly On A Winsheid' has a eerie line 'And the wall of death is lowered in Times Square'.
Another big one is Laurie Anderson's song "O Superman" from the early 80s. Has some very eerie moments that echo events and feelings of that day. The chorus "Here Come The Planes" is eerily on the nose.
Interesting topic, before watching this video I'd only known about the Supertramp reference, even its a stretch if you ask me, but hey I'm not prone to "down the rabbit hole" thinking.
P.O.D.’s Satellite was released 9/11/01. My school had decided to ban teachers from talking about or showing footage of the attacks. Sure enough it had spread through word of mouth. So, my first visuals were a wall of big screens at Walmart while purchasing that album as a 16 year old

I remember being 15 and going to see system of a down in east Rutherford nj about a month after 911 and all the rumors going around school were that at the end of them playing jet pilot they would blow up the arena. Well at the end of that song they set of concussion Pyro and a lot of people freaked out. But nothing happened lol
