An album cover that I am actually upset about is the cover art for Possession by Joywave. The singles had incredibly interesting and lively cover arts, but the album's cover art is just the golden disk. Like I wouldn't be able to pick it out in a pile of records if you asked me to. It's incredibly weak compared to all of their other album covers, which are all unique by themselves.
My favourite type of album covers for some reason are photographs with no text or anything on them usually not in the best quality. A good example for is "By The Time I Get To Phoenix" it just let's you focus so heavily on an image while music is blaring into your ears and mind
One album cover I absolutely adore so much is Let's Be Animals by The Downtown Fiction. Everything about it is perfect. The custom paper mache helmets, how the one on the kid is waaayyyy too big and falling off a bit, the woods setting, how their jackets perfectly match the background colors, the adult in the back who actually is doing a lil pose, as seen with the hand on the side, the hazy aura around the entire thing, all with the small and not distracting text at the bottom makes it all feel complete. Not only that but it perfectly sets up the "gotcha!" element the album has. Whenever I showed the cover to anybody, 100% of the time, they say "aww, that's cute" but one of the very first lines in the album is "Thanks for nothing, kiss my ass". Truly one of my favorites ever.

I wanna say that David Bowie has some really cool lookin stuff. I think some of my favorites of his album covers would have to be TMWSTW, TRAFOZSATSFM, “Heroes”, Low, STATION TO STATION, Let’s Dance, Young Americans, Earthling, 1.Outside, etc etc. But as for non-Bowie album covers that I like (yet I’m pretty sure weren’t mentioned here) would be both of Joy Division’s studio album’s covers (Unknown Pleasures and Closer), The Clash’s London Calling and Combat Rock, Mask by Bauhaus, both Disintegration and One Hundred Years by The Cure are pretty cool lookin. Floodland by Sisters Of Mercy, In Utero by Nirvana, Demon Days by Gorillaz, etc etc. But generally I really love album covers and I also think they are a pretty cool part of moosic

The fact that the album cover for Get To Heaven by Everything Everything wasn’t mentioned is a literal crime, so, I’m sorry, but I’ll have to sentence you to a year of community service for it. Also, I’ve grown to really love the Born This Way album cover, though just loving that album generally is partly to do with it
Something a lot of video games do is reuse part of their Game Cover as an album cover, but The official Ultrakill: Infinite HyperDeath art is one of the sickest covers in all of gaming soundtracks and its just fan art turned album cover.
One of my favourites is Funkadelic's Maggot Brain; on the front of the record a woman's head is planted in the dirt, with an expression of pure anguish and on the back only her skull remains... Safe to say the cover really lives up to its name.
Honestly funkadelic have much better album cover’s than Maggot Brain. Standing On The Verge Of Getting It On and Free Your Mind And Your Ass Will Follow are much more interesting.

I doubt it would be interesting. This dude only talks about the same 20 artists. Fantano has really ruined zoomer’s brains.
2:19 well Donald glover must have liked this joke lol
I personally love the alternate album covers to all different types of albums
And yet, not one mention of the best album cover and title out there:
Thanks to You Song That I Don't Understand How People Like It I'm Forced to Listen to This S--t Everyday Cause My F---ing Sister Plays This Every Time Without Getting Bored of Listening to It Thanks Ghost for This Piece of S--t You Introduced Into My Life (usually shorted as Thanks to You Song) - the album who's title is literally just a hate comment that Ghost and Pals (the producer/artist) got on one of the songs in the album (it was on The Distortionist, in fact). Ghost themselves is a great producer too, do check them out :3
ngl the DANGERDOOM album cover is just something i will always love seeing
4:56 intersting fact there was supposed to be a kids see ghost video game. Kanye mentioned it once before in a clip where he was playing Sonic 2 (i don't know who posted the clip, sorry)
love the jet set radio music in the backgroud of the vid!
King Gizzard & the Wizard Lizzard Always have amazing album arts, and they are all done by Jason Galea. You sure to find something you personally like in their 20+ options to choose from.
Honestly their album covers are underrated, so great
the butterfly 3000 album cover is so coollll ! there’s even an optical illusion when you cross your eyes or somethin
The craziest album cover is the one metal band that used their lead singers suicide as the album cover
Mayhem, right?
the Mayhem incident
Me: "He aint gonna mention TOOL"
8:24 lost my shit
my reaction w trippie redd
I’d love for you to make a video about remixes, especially considering the different types of remixes out there as well as their “evolution” in hip-hop & R&B. It’s such a unique aspect in music!
I just looked at the community post, and now seeing this! Nice.
"the first glass beach album" album cover perfectly encaptures the vibe and mood created by the album
trippie about to put the most fire cover on the most mid album you've ever heard
My favourite is probably In Sides by Orbital. Draft 7 by Autechre is very pretty too
Cross over heathfire
Idk how you packed so much into 9 minutes, amazing work
The fact that the album cover for Get To Heaven by Everything Everything wasn’t mentioned is a literal crime, so, I’m sorry, but I’ll have to sentence you to a year of community service for it.
Also, I’ve grown to really love the Born This Way album cover, though just loving that album generally is partly to do with it
Yes! Love EE
my favorite album cover of all time is trap story its so beautiful and it shows the head space Gucci mane was in when he made the album
im surprised that none of gucci mane's mixtape covers were mentioned; those are hilarious
Mayhem literally had a mutilated corpse of a band member for an album cover
Dawn of black hearts?
Trap Story one of the greatest album covers ever
Something a lot of video games do is reuse part of their Game Cover as an album cover, but The official Ultrakill: Infinite HyperDeath art is one of the sickest covers in all of gaming soundtracks and its just fan art turned album cover.
couldn't have said it better myself. i swear, you covered every damn point
Two words: Joker's Cards.
Simple, elegant, intriguing.

Was that freaking Satorl Marsh (the night version) from Xenoblade?
Animation and editing is getting better and better man, keep it up!
One of my favourites is Funkadelic's Maggot Brain; on the front of the record a woman's head is planted in the dirt, with an expression of pure anguish and on the back only her skull remains... Safe to say the cover really lives up to its name.
Great listen! Like less than an hour for some crazy and inspiring funk.
Honestly funkadelic have much better album cover’s than Maggot Brain. Standing On The Verge Of Getting It On and Free Your Mind And Your Ass Will Follow are much more interesting.
Toto’s self titled album is my favorite album cover personally. It’s pretty simple but imo it completely incapsulates the sound and feeling of the album.
