The sound man is absolutely just as important as any band member…if not MORE.

The most important thing a person needs to be a sound man is to like music.
And by that I mean a person who enjoys the details in a song and enjoys good sound quality.
I dont play an instrument but have always had good sound systems and understand what makes a song sound great 🙂

I struggled with feedback in our stage monitors. I can't get the hang of ringing out the monitors. I added feedback suppression into my monitor rack, which works. I'm wondering about your thoughts on feedback suppressors.

I’m not a fan because I don’t like what it does to the fidelity of the monitor mix. I’d rather carve it out myself so it makes sense to the human ear.

Been watching for a while now. I'm just echoing what most people on here have already said, but I just have to... - you are awesome. You call it like it fuggin' is. I'm actually a fair to middlin' vocalist/guitarist (isn't everyone??) but I love wiggling the air waves myself, but at a very casual, low market level. Your advice really helps little guys like me improve. Certainy adds a lotta perspective. A suggestion... You should quit worring about the length of your vid's. To me, your 35 mins seems like 15. Great job! :)

Thank you my friend. Yeah the video length thing was my marketing people telling me my videos were too long. 🤦🏻 If you notice in the newer videos I care less about that. I have a lot to share and just need the time to cover the subject correctly. They don’t call it long format for nothing right? lol. You are my people!
