This 3D medical animation depicts carpal tunnel syndrome and carpal tunnel release. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a nerve disorder of the hand caused by compression of the median nerve. Two different types of carpal tunnel release are animated, an open carpal tunnel procedure and the endoscopic approach.

Hi, please suggest me the treatment process of this. My mother suffering a lot
@@faisalakash433 not sure where you are located, but I saw a family physician we couldn’t find a specific activity that was causing my carpal tunnel, so we tried splinting both wrists and using Advil to reduce pain and inflammation. This didn’t work so he injected a corticosteroid in each wrist and I’ve not had issues since. It doesn’t always work for everyone and it’s not an option for everyone depending on their own personal health situation, but it’s worth inquiring about! Ask your doctor if a corticosteroid injection is a good option for your mother and make sure you find a trustworthy doctor as a poorly done injection may make things worse rather than better. I had a carpal tunnel syndrome it started when I worked as a metal pressed employee. I've experienced the first pain effect of it when wake up in the morning one time (it only aches in the morning) and especially during winter time i felt the numbness that i can't even hold a cup cause it slipped in my hands. I'm still working as a pressed employee but my hands are seem fine as of the moment.
Left my homework and notes to pile up, had to submit them today, wrote more than 70 pages.
I've learned two lessons:-
•Do my freaking homework on time.
• About carpal tunnel syndrome.

My grandma has suffered from this for years, and has to wear a hand brace alot. My mom is starting to show symptoms as well. So, most likely, I will eventually get it when I get older (we all have tiny wrists). Fantastic, more things to look forward to lol
Bev Criswell i suffer with it and i have had a steriod injection which has helped big time, best thing to do is to make sure you relax your wrist after repetitive movements, plus it depends on your lifestyle you might not get it but if you do get the injection as the effects can last up to 3 months or 3 years
Wearing a brace will probably save you from it. It's not practical but you'll get used to it
Use a brace and save yourself from it straight up

If you are over the age of 60 and you have carpal tunnel symptoms and you have not started anything new (hobbies, exercises, work) that you think is the cause, please see your doctor and look into a disease called amyloidosis. Carpal tunnel can be an early symptom and it's a very serious disease. My father had carpal tunnel for months and they missed the amyloidosis until he started to have heart arrhythmia problems.
I had to get surgery on my hand 5 years ago & it was well worth it , it also kept my from going to jail , long story short got into a bit of trouble just some low level petty shit, the courts found out I had to get this surgery & they dropped all my charges because my recovery time was more than 10 weeks long & my doctor told the courts that I couldn’t use my hand until he felt I could & that I was under his care until Further notice .

What's the after effects if the transverse ligament cut?
It may cure CTS But does it cause for any other problem in hand?
No, it does not cause any problem after the operation. You really wouldn't know that it had even been cut. I had my right wrist done, under local anaesthetic, and had instant and permanent pain relief. After healing, my hand and wrist are completely back to normal -- and there is no difference in either look or function between my two hands/wrists. (Operation 15 yrs ago, and never a days trouble since. Previously it had been unbearably painful and no medication helped.)
The only side effect is that it grows back within 2 years

But what would cutting the carpal tunnel result in?
I would guess reduced hand flexibility/mobility
INotKnowHow well the side effects of the surgery include swelling, numbness and pain. These then die down in the following weeks after the surgery. Physical therapy is usually done to reduce the post-op effects.
Can you still use your hand after the carpal tunnel thing has been cut?
Ulnar nerve outboard of tunnel. Enervating half of ring finger and little finger. Hook of hamate forms part of tunnel and guide for tendon.
What happens after cutting the tendon? Was there a loss of certain movement?
