- "Satie's Umbrellas" is a hommage to the beloved eccentric genius of Eric Satie - who was, among other things, a collector of umbrellas, as I must confess to being, also!

(In time, I may become used to the technicalities of Windows 7 movie maker, but I have a feeling that life may be too short:-)Here, I just had fun with it!)

Je n'avais jamais entendu ce très bel hommage de Madame Linnemann à Satie... On reconnaît tout à fait l'ambiance merveilleuse des Gymnopédies, et surtout des Gnossiennes (la 1 et la 3), leurs rythmes et harmonies si caractéristiques. En tout cas, votre interprétation est vraiment impeccable, avec un rendu sonore vraiment parfait. Grand Bravo !

I have used your pieces for years in my classes, and there is something in them i am not able to explain what, perhaps not one but many things, that makes them work within my pupils I am truly grateful for it.
