You shouldn’t bathe cats unless they’re covered in something, we have never bathed our cat because she does it herself like all cats. She’s always very clean.

You're so right about Pit Bulls. After my dog died my neighbor took me to a shelter. I needed the comfort of a dog. I couldn't adopt and the Pit Bull I chose knew exactly what to do. When he sensed I felt better he went to the door of the meet and greet room and looked back at me as if to say I'm ready to go back to my cage. My job is done. You're gonna be just fine. I'll never forget the kindness, cuddles and kisses that dog gave. He healed me.
my friend has two pitties, one massive dude who thinks he's a toy poodle and the other is more "lap sized" but can't hold her licker! never met two more loveable goofballs than those two. so glad you got some help! go back and visit again, i bet the dog loved the company as well!

She was amazing but she missed her owner, and I'm just not physically strong enough and she pulled me too hard and I have a bad arm. She finished my healing that Pop Tart started. I had to call the owner to take her back and she almost crashed through the glass screen door to him. Never did get a refund but my time was Chevy was great. Her adorableness and gentleness made up for it. I guess I was also too bonded to my old Chihuahua girl I had 16 years. So I have two cats instead. The few times I see people walk their Pit Bulls I have to say hello. They seem surprised that I don't run screaming. I ask if I can pet their Pit Bulls and they say no problem and I feel great the rest of the day. I love their eyes and huge heads. I'm just not strong enough to physically handle one. Playing with them I get exhausted. Dogs taught me as a kid not to scared of them, Dobermans and Rotties and Pit Bulls taught me that they're nice. A friend of mine had a Rottie who thought he was a lap dog. When I heard Lucky had passed of old age I cried. Yup! Pop Tart enjoyed my company and the treats I was allowed to give. And the most amazing thing about him? Like I did with my dog to shake hands I said gimme 5 and Pop Tart shook hands with me. He gave great kisses. I felt safe with him. I told him all about my passed dog and he kissed me.

Clearly, the idea of "natural enemies" is not instinct, but rather, learned behavior. Most animals with even a limited intelligence will bond with others if raised in a safe environment. It is still a beautiful thing of course. 🙂

Cats prefer calmer environments and need to warm up to new things, while dogs will just crowd, lick and play with anything/one new. What's more, if a cat runs away, a dog might think it's play and chase. If you notice what this dog did in the beginning (lwtting the cat come to you) is what is actually recommended for gainning a cat's trust.

Pit bulls are by far the most smartest amazing sweetest dogs ever .my daughter got a pit puppy for my grandson and lived in a tiny apartment she didn't realize how fast and big they grew she asked me if I wanted it she wasn't able to keep it she wasn't home enough. I said absolutely not it's a pit but I did agree to keep him until we found a home for him .fast forward a year we still have Zeus the pit and no one can take him away he is our baby .he is so smart and loyal and loves everyone and also hates baths but loves the water hose .she goes everywhere with my husband .my husband had a stroke and Zeus makes him so happy he loves our pit he goes and gets him 2 cheeseburgers everyday .go rescue a pit you won't regret it .thispit in this video looks like my pit .amazing lovable dogs
Themed pet names are my favorite, and spirits are a nice category. We adopted a 3-legged cat named Trip, and we followed up with a dog we named Fall and another cat we named named Slip. Slip, Trip, and Fall. Crash, Bang, Boom(er), are reserved for future pet names.

It's really lovely that Bellini has such a mothering instinct rather than a high prey drive (for small animals) because their relationship - the dog and the cats - is just beautiful to see! I'm sure they keep their family in stitches all day long. 😊
Our goofy cats also love our dog. Our dog just puts up with the cats always cuddling up with him. 😂
