    I am taking a medical masteral class and is "forced" to take statistics as a requisite. This thing is not my forte` and I find it difficult. I have read 2 books about it and achieved nominal improvement....darn. Your video is quite helpful and I thank you for uploading it.

    You can add to say that Hypothesis testing is based on Alternative Hypothesis and here Ha -> is mean not equal to 0, ( could be less than 0 or could be higher than 0) means that it's two tailed. Also to mention when variance is unknown we use t dist.

      No lol taking an online college statistics class over the summer is a huge pain. Take me back to the good ol days when I only had to worry about finding the median.

    This would be a lot better if instead of using filler variables, you used the actual equation next to it. I still don't understand the solution.

    What if my T value is negative? How do I get the P value in this table?

    • @karthiklogan9384
      @karthiklogan9384 3 года назад +5

      You can ignore the negative sign and compute the p value.

    what if the question is t > 2.51 with a df of 30
    it doesn't say t is 2.51 so I don't know what to do
    if I say t is 2.51 I get the question wrong

    This doesn't help me! How do you find the EXACT p-value?

    • @celltower1
      @celltower1 6 лет назад

      I don't think you can without Z being given. If it were you can calculate the exact P value using the z table

    • @natalieannemartin

      Matthew Harding yep, I realized I was using an incorrect t table, so that’s the reason my answer was coming out differently.

    One mistake: the degree of freedom must be equal to n-2

    • @darkstardream1551
      @darkstardream1551 5 лет назад +2

      degree of freedom is equal to the n-total number of a variable so it is right
