I think you will miss the AF and low-light capability also the Full Frame look. I picked the A7Cii paired with 40mm f2.5 G and couldn't be happier.
I think you may be right buddy. Sounds like a cracking combo, that was one of my other choices, but the already finished look to the jpegs is something im needing too which made me try this first. Hopefully its not so bad that I regret the swap. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂
yea I tried the fuji craze and ended up trading in the xt3 I got
I am in the same boat I bought the x100vi in addition to my a7cr, because I thought that I need something smaller to take pictures of my two little daughters. But after the honey moon phase with my x100vi I ended up using the a7cr + 40mm 95% of the time.
The picture quality of the sony is just too good and the autofocus is perfect for moving kids. And since the moments with my little ones are most important ones in my life, I want to have te best possible quality. It would be completely different If I would only shoot street.
I’m sure you’ll enjoy it regardless. I shoot with an XT5, which is the exact same sensor and I absolutely love it. Might not be the same lens, but compared to older Fuji cameras, the AF is much more reliable and can give you great results. Will it compare to your Sony? Probably not, but you’re a photographer. You’ll make it work and it’ll blow your phone images out of the water, which is what matters. The end results will still be fantastic and worth it for the size. That and you can get a teleconverter increase and decrease set to give you more focal length options that are specifically made for the X100 cameras. Not sure how much that’ll impact the final image quality, but it doubt it’ll destroy your final images.
I can totally relate to your decision to switch to Fujifilm. The compact size and the convenience of not having to spend hours editing photos are big factors for me too. Excited to hear your thoughts on how it performs in wedding situations!
All cameras are good nowadays. Just crank that iso up for low light or add actual lights if the iso becomes too grainy(hey its the cameras telling you dude this is far as I can go its up to you now)
I mean come on a small camera you can take anywhere with ibis. Has an integrated ND filter. Can shoot 6.2k 24p. Looks really cool. What else will be the issue unless youre photographics kids and dogs or any erratic movement where AF is important and a life or client scenario.

Yeah I agree, amazing cameras. Just a little too large file size for me and I would still have to edit them before printing. But your right, killer combo 👌🏻
You can use m-raw or s-raw and than you get small files which are still superior to the ones from fuji. I still own both cameras, so I have the direct comparison.
I love my a7iii and i would never sell it. But i got an x100vi aswell and love it
Yeah it was a hard decision and I wish I could have kept both. Mine turned up too, Currently testing it. It’s an awesome little thing.

Great move, but I would do the following
Osmo Pocket 3 for videos
Fuji for the photos
Instax square for the prints
I have moved sony also to make things easier, click…print
But I do have my FX3 for the main setup and the a7c to pair second camera.

Good choices there bud, I had the a7c for a while, loved it, great autofocus.

I love my Fujis but would never sell my Sony and just keep the Fujis as the only system.
Ditto! They would have to do something very special to make me completely swap to crop sensor.
I would picked the Fuji XT5 , same sensor but more lens options. However, I sold my XT5 and went with a Nikon ZF, lol.
It’s funny you say that, if all works out well with this x100vi I would love to slim the whole wedding kit down to something like an XT5.

I got a Fuji xe4 and burn the main board. Old tech cameras…
They do have some epic teething problems. Their old firmware on the XT1/2/3 range was notoriously bad.
Wrong move bro. Don't believe the hype.
Bokeh is totally overrated- in general aiming for shallow depth of field - lots of bokeh- leads to a tonne of photos which look unfocused- because… maybe the eye of a person is in focus, because of autofocus- but maybe the person is actually holding an item- the actual photo subject, and this is out of focus… or maybe the person is the subject - eye in focus , but nose and ears out of focus - looks super weird
