Hello Aaron, I've got some Bevel Edged (Metro/Subway) tiles, and wanted to get an idea of how they'd look when fixed, in various styles. So getting to the nitty gritty, I took photos of my tiles (400mm x150mm) two different colours. I followed your advice and got them in as a texture. Great second time cocked it up and couldn't think how, what part of the operation had I missed. Well I thought bugger this, and when importing the image which I'd cropped down to the edges of the tiles, I entered the exact dimensions result. That's about as far as I've got. My next task is to see what happens when I use them as a texture, as I'm drawing the tiles with a 10mm depth then adding texture to the face. 62yoa pretty much retired and still learning.
Success, that's me now till I go out for a few pints, whilst watching the West Ham vs Chelsea Football (Soccer) Match, 12:30 Kick Off so could get messy🍻🍻🍻, Up The Chels, Blue Is The Colour.
Hey Aaron. I like what you did there. I have a question though, How would you go about applying this to a texture that doesn't have individual 'boards' in it (like a concrete surface for example)?
Hi Aaron! I am trying to create a texture that is continuous, like an epoxy texture garage floor. It's one image, but I have seams when I lay it into the sketch. How do I get rid of the seams so it looks like one solid paint instead of little squares? Could you please do a demo? Thanks so much!!!
hello when I scale a group or component It also scales the texture and after that when I try to change the materıal to another the new texture ıs also scaled" How can I fıx or reset the surface ?
Hi. Greetings. Very good videos. One question: What advice would you give me to make a sphere that simulates the eclipses of the moon? I tried the "Follow Me" tool, but it doesn't work out.
In my sketchup ,there is no combined texture option in right click. Please tell me sir where it is, this video is very helpful,i didn't get to same as I'd image, pls help
You have to use a bitmap editor for textures such as wood, marble, gravel etc. I like using the free paint.net. There are videos on the technique in RUclips. It is fairly laborious so only attempt it with really important textures.
What if i have a material file. skm not an image file (png or jpeg) and when i bring it in material window of sketchup for applying on a surface it doesn't tile seamlessly.. Then what i can do to make that material file seamless instantly..
Combine textures... great! Seems like no matter how many years I use Sketchup there's always something new to learn.
SAVED MY LIFE!! Thanks a lot!
I've been scrolling all over those ps videos, and none of them helped me really
"combine textures"! I never noticed that. Cool, thanks.
That final product's not only seamless, but also very artistically pleasing, like looking at a wheat field blown in the wind.
I use wood textures a lot and they quite often dont tile correctly so super handy, thanks
Just tried this method, and it worked great! TY!
Easy to understand! Thank you!
I can't do that, is it an external complement? Or are there some differences between the Mac and Win version?
combine textures ? plugin ? just SU 2019 ?

Great tip Aaron! Thanks.
Great video and thanks for the share. Pretty easy to follow as well. Take care and have a wonderful week.
Very nice; I learned a couple of techniques here.

you dont, use blender for in engine seamless texturing or edit them in photoshop
Amazing vid! Thanks a lot for the tip!
Thanks, Aaron-these are really helpful!
Stephen Hammontree Glad I could help!
Hi Aaron, great tutorial! But how do I save the made seamless texture for future use? Thanks!
Its very useful for me ... 😍😍 thank you so much

The only problem with this is that it still looks blocky over a large are e.g. paving. Is there any way around this to make it look even more random?

Same here! I'm using SU 2019, and this option doesn't appear. :(
I have a problem after making texture unique the image become black/white and distorted. Please help!
Very cool thank you
Is it ok if I call this a quick win?
Leo Vlad Only if you watch it at 8x speed!
@@AaronMakingStuff No but I kinda move at 8x speed :)
Dude! That Mohawk must shred...
If the texture is not tile format how will you do this for example marble flooring

Thank you !!
Y como conseguir que no se vea el patrón repetido?, que parezca más aleatorio
Perfect congratulations thanks
It would Help me much . Thank you

You can do the same. Just apply it to a rectangle and start from where Aaron has exploded the image he imported.
Nice video, thanks for the tip.
Very good!!!!!!
Nice!
Thanks a lot for this.
Great. Thanks.
I liked.
so much easier for large expanses!
It is cool, but how about a map with pebbles or stones.
thx
Nice
