I would recommend to everyone to always use smooth jaws when working on any flushometer. If you follow this video you will mark up the flushometer everywhere. Also never lay the flushometer on the concrete. Atleast put a towel down to protect the finish of the flushometer. Additionally, you can replace the flushometer without taking the entire flush body off.
Well first off you can change a diaphragm with the entire unit together. Just turn off the water. The way he puts the unit on the concrete. Can ruin the threads Bc the unit is brass. Also not using smooth jaw pliers. Just marked the absolute shit outta that unit. Terrible job.
Andrew, got a question for you. I recently changed a urinals diaphragm (0.5 gmp) & vacuum breaker, but it keeps leaking from the diaphragm. Do you know how to make it stop leaking? Thank you in advance.
@@AtotheB1503 you might have it too tight. Obviously you can’t put it in the wrong way but you do have to have the plastic cap on before tightening the brass cap. I hand tighten it then just barely snug it up with smooth jaw pipe wrench.

What if the water is constantly flowing at high volume? Can you turn the valve to be almost shut to allow only a trickle?
No you con not.
Your urinal diaphragm is bad my suggestion is change your vacuum breaker as well since you going to open it.

Could have done that without removing the valve!
