Great videos- one simple way to improve the look of the bike is to replace the red strips with black strips masking the red . Also on the tank add a thin black strip the size of the golden strip above the golden one.. gets a beautiful retro look.. have done to mine , gonna use your idea of the exhaust , quid pro quo 😊. Also alloy wheels with the Vredestein tyres are kick ass
Ah! Thank you for this lovely comment. The idea sure does seem exciting. However as we all know, beauty is subjective. I really love this colour scheme though. :) I would however love a replacement blacked out engine cover. All 6 panels. That to me will be a chef's kiss! Thank you for watching this video!
Nice review. I'm from the UK and a new rider, although I'm in my forties now. The Interceptor is my dream bike, and hope to be able to afford it one day. Would definitely choose it over any Japanese bike, and over the Triumph and Bsa. The Baker Express finish is possibly the best too.
The front suspension in it's stock setup has a 2.5W suspension oil, which is actually the softest anything can get. If you notice the Inty bottoms out pretty quickly, the solution is to switch to a 10W suspension oil, or change the setup, the available one's are way2speed and have heard good things about it as they give preload adjustability too. The suspension stiffness is also dependant on the weight of the rider and the individual's liking. So in short, to make the Inty more stable and planted- switching to a more denser suspension oil or changing the front setup would make a world of a difference. And if the pocket allows one can look into YSS, which is very costly. Really appreciate your work, Mate. ~A fellow Inty rider.
Thank you for watching the video. It’s the import duty which is levied by the country That makes them expensive. Same way any Harley Davidson motorcycle is double it’s cost, if one buys it in India.
I've had various 650 riders ride my Gt535 and they always say how much they miss the thump. Then I remind them of maintenance and frequent Battery and Fuel pump failures.
Foot pegs is a problem until such time that you get use to it, stock silencer heating is another major issue but happens in all the vehicles, rear suspension sucks and it is good only on express highways where you usually don't have speed breakers, spoke wheels with tube tires is another potential hazard. This is my observation based on my last 3 months of regular City and some short highway rides.
thank you so much for your pointers and I agree with them. I have changed my tyres, suspensions and the seat. Though I am, for now, okay with the OEM foot pegs.
That is very true, however, most manufacturers put a standard handle bar across their production range and most people will not do that extra research and rely on such videos for a basic understanding. Plus modifying a handlebar costs extra $ (getting on that suits you) hence videos like this help form an idea of how much this particular motorcycle can suit one's needs.
I am picking up a new 2022 UK 650 interceptor tomorrow, if it is as good as my lifetime keeper 2021 Himalayan, i will be a very happy man..Himalayan was my first RE and i love it ❤. now it's Royal Enfield brand only bikes for me, I will work hard, buy 1 more so I have 3 and keep them all as long as i live 👍😁
Hey Srinivas. Great vid and the bike looks amazing! I'm very interested to know where you sourced your headlight brackets from? They're so much better than the stock ones!
I like to buy interceptor 650 please advice is there heating issues on engine and vibration as I seen video about vibration it does what are your suggestions please reply 😀
Any internal combustion engine will heat up. :) Even a Harley Davidson: Triumph gets hot. So it all comes down to getting used to it. I have had this for almost 3 years, I never thought it is getting really hot. Just wear appropriate riding gear/ leg/ foot wear and you’re good to go. If you ride this in shorts, then you’re asking for a hair removal procedure in your legs/ crotch. 🤪
Hi , Am going from splendour pro to Royal Enfield, am 5.5 height, this is going to be my first royal enfeld experience, most of my ride time would be in city, I was thinking of buying either classic 350es or interceptor 650. What would you recommend?
I would suggest to go for a couple of test rides at first. Get the feel of which one suits you. You mentioned your height to be 5'5, I am not stopping you from buying the motorcycle, but the Interceptor might be on the taller side for you. Not sure, but get a test ride. You don't want you first RE experience to be a bummer. :)

Good demo of how smooth the 650 is. Truly a well designed motor and transmission.
Absolutely!! it has redefined motorcycling in the Indian Market for the mid tier motorcycles.

Thank you so much! I’m also eying way2speed’s front suspension set up. And comparing that with YSS ones.
Appreciated the gentleman review..yeah is not cheap esp oversea... in Malaysia it's selling at usd 7600.00.. but it is still affordable big bike here.

You can have shorter people with long arm levers. So reach to the handlebar varies not based on height but arm leverage

I have also installed the same Handel bar on my GT 650 but because of my height (5'8") the reach is bit painful so I migh go for the risers.
Go for 1 inch risers. Amazon.in it is pretty cheap. And effective. :)

It sure is! 🤩
Nice one! What is the make of tail light?
Thank you for watching the video! The make is hitchcocks motorcycles.
Hi Srinivas, what make are the exhaust on the interceptor? Regards Paul...
Hey Paul. These are PowerRage exhausts. With brushed aluminium steel.
