    Fantastic to watch man. Truly skilful and very labour intense! I’m pleased you didn’t put a random music track over the top of this.

      Thank you very much! I wanted the experience to be as natural as possible, so sans-music felt right. I'm glad you agree!

    Great craftsmanship, and a wonderful video presentation! As a watchmaker, I would love to see more of this kind of video. It really opens the door into the "mysterious" world of handcrafted watches, or in this case-haute maroquinerie. Congratulations!

    Outstanding video and presentation! I noticed that you wear a Speedmaster and so as I, well along with other watches. I made a watch strap for my watch but not as nice as yours. I am happy with it for sure.

    Hi there! Beautiful work thanks for the video. Are you using Japanese style or French style pricking irons from Kevin Lee? Thanks!

    • @vellealexander
      @vellealexander  2 года назад

      Thanks, Tim! In this video, I'm using Kevin Lee's diamond tipped irons. However, I have since switched to KS Blade traditional pricking irons and have been much happier. Cheers!

      @@vellealexander Thanks so much for the reply. Are you using the version 2 ks blade or the original? I know I need the 2 tooth punch but how many teeth should I have for my other punch? 5 or 8?

      @alexgravelle 2 года назад

      @@timproskine486 V2 is definitely the way to go. I use a 2-tooth and 10-tooth. If I were to get another, I’d grab a 5-tooth.

    Hi Alex. That paper-like reinforcement you're using - is it what people refer to as Velodon? I've bought some Vildona Forecetape 1220 which i was told is the same product. Its a black/greay colour and is waxy on one side. Is there a version that isnt waxy that you know of? What exactly are you using here? I'd really appreciate some advice. The waxy side just isnt sticking as you can imagine.
